  • Puedes hacer un video donde expliques los acordes del principio?

  • Nice tutorial, but there is some cheesiness in intro part after E7

  • @TurboAnnihilator5000 Thanks. Don't know what you mean about the cheesiness, but hey you're free to play the song any way you like.

  • veeeeeery good!!! Thanks!!!

  • 1:01 thats a D not an E mate

  • @iScoot691

Uh mate, a D position chord at the 4th fret is an E! Just so you know.

  • @jpm2u sorry my bad

  • @iScoot691 No sweat.

  • Can u tell me wat fingers go on what during the whole thing like make another video describing it

  • Very good tutorial, but could you describe to me what you're doing between 0.48-0.53? Thanks :)

  • @rhysallan96

Play the E7 X79797, then pluck the B string on the 9th, then lift up the pinky on the B string 9th and pluck it so that you are playing B string 7th and then into the next chord. Hope that helps. Cheers.

  • Amazing! Thanx for your time man keep it up.

  • @RIPjohn94

Thanks for the comments and glad you enjoyed. Cheers.

  • its a good version,,thank you

  • I really wish I could play fret chords. Does anyone have any hints or suggestions to help? Thanks.

  • I really wish I could play fret chords. Any suggestions anyone?

  • I really like this, taught me a lot, but i can't figure out how you are playing with the E7 in the intro.

  • @RasmusbjorklundZ3rog

Hi, thanks for the comment. The E7 is like an A7 but moved up. So, bar the 7th fret and hold down the D and B strings on the 9th fret with your ring and pinkie. Play X79797. Check out a site like Chordie.com for chords and their variations. Cheers.

  • @jpm2u

Hey man, nice arrangement. When I listen to the track I notice that after the (D) "it's getting (E) hard to be

(A)someone but it all works out" (F#m) I think there is an E chord just before it goes back into the (D).

    What do you think?

  • @thegaijinfarang

Hi, an E definitely works as a link between the F#m and the D. I tried it and it sounds good. As to whether John is playing the chord or if it is just a descending bass note I'm not sure. I've listened to the Anthology versions and it sounds like it's just a bass note. However, it totally works and feel free to play the E chord to link into the D.

Thanks for the insight. and always glad to have more input. Cheers.

  • Thank You! Thank You! Thank You! I love this song and couldn't figure it out. I used your arrangement moved a full step down the neck so I could use the open d string in the intro.

  • @abuchalmers

You're very welcome (3x). Glad you liked it and hope it works well with the new positioning. Cheers.

  • Great!!!!!!!!

  • @Roldanalencar

Thanks for the support. Glad you enjoyed.

  • thanks for lesson

On the second bar I play |E7/ DC#| You can finger D as xx555x and C# as xx444x

Sounds similar but easier for beginners.

  • @simonbu91

Thanks for the input. I'm sure many will appreciate it. Cheers.

  • @motorhash

Thanks for the kind words. Love your channel. Gunja rules!!

  • Just fantastic Joe!!!!

  • @Tomnjerry111

    Thanks mate.

  • this is awesome if you're a music major or a professional musician, but other poeple don't know the E minor in the 7th's and F sharp minor's and all that shenanigans. it'd be helpful if you said what exact strings you are playing in those more complicated chords.

  • @matcalimpong

Quite right. In some of my earlier videos, I did not go through chords as thoroughly as I usually do now. It's tough to find the best balance to suit both beginners and more advanced players. In all fairness though, you hardly need to be a music major to get most of my vids. With a little diligence, (i.e. looking up chord positions/voicings) most should be able to get it. I've worked hard to learn the songs, and it's not so unreasonable to expect others to do so. Thanks.

  • some people do need to know what strings your pressing on those chords

  • Dude, that was awesome! I've been wanting to learn his song for awhile now. I'll have it down tonight thanks to your video... I read somewhere that they actually tuned their instruments down on this song then sped the tape up in the final mix...Absolutely genius!

  • @mantaboo72

Glad that I could help and thanks for the support. Actually, John' s guitar was out of tune with the orchestral instruments that come in near the middle of the song, so George Martin pitched John's vocals and guitar down a bit to match the orchestra. You can hear John and his guitar getting a bit lower (and a tad slower) just as the orchestra comes in. That's what I read somewhere. Anyway, thanks again.

  • Sorry, I haven't always explained the strumming on my songs. On the album, the strumming is actually quite difficult. It involves a lot of individual picking of strings. However, I'm just playing a simple strumming pattern. I don't think I'll be putting up a vid showing the pattern, but try listening to this vid a few more times or just find something that suits you well and sounds similar to the real song. Anyway, Thanks for the post and hope I could help.

  • I need to learn this for a musical of school XD you've helped me with this movie :3 thank you! But what is the strumming pattern? That's all I can't do well

  • very helpful, thanks! cheers from israel

  • @Boolbla
