People are starting to realize that none of the Republican candidates have any interest in them like Obama does. They only care about the upper class not the middle and lower class. That's what I think, and I know I'm going to get bashed for it. But I stand by it, Obama 2012!!!
@padude64 Seriously, Romney is only slightly to the right of Obama. To people not understand that the Federal health care bill was modeled after RomneyCare? My only problem with him is he's a flip-flopper and you can't rely on him to make the right decisions for America. All Romney cares about is pandering for votes.
I'll donate $20 even though I'm really struggling right now. Match me. This country needs President Obama and the Democrats more than I need to eat something nice this week. This is for you seniors.
@Gethsemaneful only 200,000 have donated to all the republican candidates combined. 5% of republican registers showed up for the Iowa and New Hampshire caucuses.
vs 95% of people who have donated to Obama's campaign are small doners, and they're already at $224 million. 1 million donors have been long passed.
Sheesh, can America hate the republicans any more? Apparently not.
@QuincyConscience The United States has 300 million people, and that includes children and people who can't/don't vote. That's also counting the millions (like me) who don't donate money into politics, but still vote in every election.
Studying politics in the UK, and keeping an eye on the republican field only makes me more certain the entire world needs Obama. If we must have a Republican, Jon Huntsman FTW!
America the word Natural has been defined since the 13th Century! Natural - Begotten with out the sanction of law or inherent not acquired.
Naturalization - The conferring of nationality of a state upon a person after birth, by any means whatsoever. 8 USC: The act by which an alien; is made a citizen of the United States of America.
NATURALIZED CITIZEN - One who, being born an alien; has lawfully become a citizen of the United States Under the constitution and laws.
In 1995, Messina was hired by Democrat U.S. Senator Max Baucus of Montana. They describe their relationship as father-son-like. Baucus received $3,973,485 from the health sector, including $852,813 from pharmaceutical companies, $851,141 from health professionals, $784,185 from the insurance industry and $465,750 from HMOs/health services, according to the Center for Responsive Politics.
I just have a lot of questions and I just don't understand why the 1 billion dollars that you may or may not raise shouldn't just go towards the deficit ( I believe all the money raised should just go towards the deficit) instead of raising money and the the one who raises the most wins the nomination, that's bad politics Jim the fact that you want to just raise so much money so you can spend it on propaganda and twisted statistics.
@shanr12586 stop being so naive. Why don't you ask the Republican opponent (Romney, Gindrich, Santorum, and others) to use their money for the deficit. The opponent twist everything that comes out of their mouth. Where is the truth in this campaign cycle? It is with Barack Obama. Mitt Romney is a good man but will say and do anything to get elected, not to mention what Gindrich will say or do.
The money will not and is not supposed to be used for the deficit.
If we wanted to get out of debt for sure why not look at Congressional pay/ healthcare plans? Also i still don't understand why the healthcare bill was passed and congress doesn't have to participate?
@shanr12586 You apparently don't have a clue about what you are talking about, it's a shame, since I am from Sweden and apparently keep better check on U.S. politics than you do.
1. The american debt is in trillions, 15 trillion. Your deficit is a bit less thanhalf of the federal budget, which is about 3,7 trillion for 2012, the deficit is 1,1 trillion.
2. Congressional salaries and benefits won't even make a dent in your deficit.
3. The Affordable Care Act was passed through Congress.
I believe that this is just more propaganda from a failing party and president. Please give me some concrete reasons why Obama should be re-elected? I am not saying the republicans are any better, both parties lately have been only trying to benefit themselves and put more money in their own pockets.
@ObamaChronicles it's like you ignored all of the statistics in this video. Almost all their donations are from small donors. Just pointing out facts, disinformation isn't healthy.

500 million people and only 1.3 have donated ... I wouldn't say this is a good thing. That's barely any people supporting Obama monetarily.

@Gethsemaneful You're off by around 200 million people. There is only a little over 300 million people in the U.S.

@Gethsemaneful ...500 million people? What is that figure even of?
1.3 million donors is very good considering how many people vote in the first place.

We are going to defeat the Republican plutocrats, even despite Citizens United.
Then, we will overturn Citizens United and end legalized bribery and corporate ownership of government.

Is there anyone that I can contact at the Obama campaign that may be able to provide me with facts and figures for my research?
