Agreed, but it's also up to the fans. I have come to realize, that the universe of music is remarkably democratic. If you want your favorite band to get more attention, what do you do as a fan? I like the music of many bands, and I legally own much of their music. But there are three bands - Nightrage being one of them - whose music I love so much, that I bought their whole discography to support them. I often buy their CDs as gifts, too. Buying music = casting a vote

I just saw these guys live the other night in St.petersburg FL, they were the best band all night. On top of it all, I met both Marios and Anders... hell I talked to Anders for a solid 10 minutes, as a fellow bass player that made my year. Nightrage is full of a great group of guys, I highly recommend seeing them while they are here in North America if they come anywhere near your state or province.

The best bands have the bass loud in their mix. We should honor the bass more in metalmusic! Often bass is not more than the lower layer of the guitarriffs. That's such a missed chance imo. The bassguitar can add a lot as seperate instrument with it's own melodies. Even if it plays the same stuff as the guitar, it never hurts to put it in there, loudly. Bass rocks bitches! (and I'm a drummer, not a bassplayer :) )

im a bass player too, though, getting the bass as loud as this is actually a lot harder than what it seems. It takes some really good production skills to make the bass sound like that.
