Great video. I remember my mom took me to see The Trouble With Harry, back in the eighties when they'd re-released a bunch of Hitchcock movies in the theater. I fell in love with Shirley and have loved her ever since. She was so cute. And those legs...oh, my God!
My dear basilnelson; I was drawn back to your channel after recieving a reply about a spelling error. I know hold myself greatful to that person. For after leaving what I hope to have been a helpful reply there, desided to watch again your most excellent tribute to the equally excellent, Shirley Maclaine. Having now added it to my favorites, would like to thank you once more. For her's is a face I would love to wake up to all the days of my life. Ta very much like. :o)o:
Thank you so very much for posting this. Shirley Maclaine in my opinion, is the most beautiful woman I have ever seen! She smart, sexy and as cute as a botton !To say nothing about be a wonderful actress.
That, my dear unclebobunclebob, would be a button or bouton in French. Most commonly known as a small disc or knob sewn on to a garment to fasten it by being pushed through a buttonhole. And speaking about holes, how very clever of you to notice this small spelling error. Oh . . . and thank you for bringing it to my attention after 10 months. Perhaps you would like to get together in another 10 months to discuss other droll spelling anomalies you may have discovered? Until then, cheers! :o)o:
I loved her comedy roles but she did some serious work as well. Check out 'SOME CAME RUNNING'(1958) and 'THE APARTMENT'(1960)for which she was nominated for Oscars in both films.
@basilnelson Personally my favorite movie is "Ask Any Girl" - it can be found at older video stores in the video tape section or online at amazon and ebay. The next favorite is Guarding Tess" Enjoy!
I always loved Shirley's pixie face and flirty attitude in many of her early films. She's a beautiful dancer, and I've loved her in every motion picture I've seen her in. She's a class act.
I love Shirley, always have. She has lived her life well, the best compliment one can give or receive I believe. She definitely marches to a different drummer, & I for one like the march. There are not many of the Hollywood types I would actually like to "know", but she is one of the two from her generation. The other is Doris Day, both great at their crafts, & wonderful people still moving down the "road less traveled".
Thank you B, for this wonderful tribute to our "Shirley."

Shirley MacLaine was a real cutie. The kind of girl you could take home to meet mother but certainly not your father.

She is one of the last great starlets left. Barbra Streisand, Doris, Day, Carol Channing, Zsa Zsa, Gabor, and Elizabeth taylor are still around!!

I just love Shirley. There is no one else like her, but I can't decide if I like her better as a red head or a brunette?

She was really very pretty and fresh faced. Goodness what a dancer! She was so funny, and still is. I loved her in Ocean's 11. Love Moonglow.
