The artwork on this cd is sooo much better than the re-release.. What is up with re-releases and thier shabby album covers? Same with October tide and the hideous front cover of thier 'rain without end' re-release.
THIS is the way Blut aus Nord must sound ! I hail the 1st, the 2nd and the new album, Dialogue with the stars ! Also The Eye and Vlad shall be hailed eternally !! Masterpieces for elite minds !
In that case, you must have the re-release (put out in '05 by Candlelight USA). I'm assuming that your copy of the album is just titled 'Fathers of the Icy Ages'?
It is the re-release, but it is entitled "Memoria Vetusta I - Fathers of the Icy Age". The cover is more in the vein of the mountainous landscape on Ultima Thulee. I think I prefer the original artwork.
That's weird. I didn't know such a version existed. The re-release should just be entitled 'Fathers of the Icy Ages'. I'm not sure what the artwork is like however...
This is actually one of my favorite Black Metal songs. The riff that kicks in on 2.12 is 'Bathory' worthy. One of the best riffs ever, and one hell of an underestimated BM album.
It most certainly is an underestimated Black Metal album (the same applies to BAN's first album as well I think). Personally my favourite track from this cd is the final song but the whole album is brilliant.
why do people need to bring up crap/rap on A metal site go fuck mnm
