@SapphireNigga yeah dude online co op sucks, i just spend like 2 hours trying to help random ppl on boss fights (undead church and capra demon) and no one summoned me lol.

@njwda It depends what level youre on. Normally u can only be summoned by ppl who are 10 levels above or below you. So if ur lvl 50, for example, no one will summon you in undead parish cause you're too high a level.

Are those other players? And do they disappear whenever you finish a boss? Also, can you run around on different areas and joke around with the normal NPC's with them?

@atatyrknumber1 except Knight Solaire, the other guy is a real player. You can summon a player whenever you see his white sign on the ground. To summon you must be in Human form (you can be summoned while being undead tough). As soon as you both beat the boss, the summoned player returns to his world, and ofc, in his world, the boss is defeated. Never tried to interact with NPC while summoned tough, so I have no idea of what happens.

This is for xbox, sorry ps3. If u want to play with your friend have you or your friend enter the game and play as normal, then either you or your friend go to the main menu of the game (where it says press start to play or whatever) then and only then their will be the option to join your friends game in progress, you won't actually enter their game but you will enter your own game but you will both be on the same server. You can then use the soap stone and your friend will see it if they are

chances that you've gonna play with your friend is small, since dark souls runs on different severs for some wierd reason, so you might not even be on the same server

Multiplayer sucks if you wanna play with your friends cuz you're not able to find them online. Multiplayer with strangers however is good

@MakcoTaco well for the most part its open world, there are many different trails you can take that lead you to new areas and i mean MANY trails and there are some safe spots which are bonfires, you pretty much find them as you get futher in the game but they restore your health and keep you safe until you leave them but everytime you use them they also revive all the enemies you killed, so be careful. overall i recommend you get it that is if your up to the challenge:)

Indeed :) but you need a White Sign Soapstone and you need to be human not undead. (You are undead in the beginning of the game, you can become human if you gain a item called "humanity") And you and your friend need to be on the same place at the same time. Good luck out there ^^

@masterjin009 If it's like demon's souls, theres probably a few servers. What you can do is check the messages around you left by others player, and see if you're both seeing the same messages, if not, you're prodbably on different servers. Just get one of you to keep quitting to the main menu and re-loading, until you both see the same messages, then re-try :)

@sweden20000 go to the darksouls wiki. i suggest u buy it. im not too sure about the details anymore however i heard that its open world but im pretty sure there are instances where when u reach a point u get sent to a point and have to go forward to get out. if that makes sense. darksouls wiki will have all the details, more after release.

@Zenaku222 you just find the summon signs on the ground and use them to get the person who put it down into your world. There isn't an item where you can choose who to summon, just gotta find the summon signs.
