@snickledoosh i cant tell u much u just gotta research ur stuff. if ur gonna set up a pedal board id go with a amp with a great clean sound and rely on distortion from the pedal board. fender tube amps are great for clean sounds. but a lot of guitarist rely on their amps for distortion, orange is known for their gain! idk if any amp can produce a distortion the way this fullboremetal mxr pedal does tho haha.
im guessing u dont know much about tube amps, play one ull hear the difference for sure!

@snickledoosh dude i was on the same boat but once u shop around and research u learn! as for pedals i would suggest getting pedals with true bypass other pedals would suck out ur tone so watch out for that.the only problem with all this is that it gets expensive, my blues junior tube amp starts at $500 and the peals i have in mind would cost me about $600 but some of them would be temporary :{P but line six amps can take u a long way i have a spider III myself but then i tried a tube amp haha
@snickledoosh not at all. apples are not oranges, and a line 6 spider is no mxr fullbore. but try mids 7-8, bass 6-7, treble 4-5, and gain not over 6. it's the most decent sound i got out of mine after 4 years of owning one. you may have problems using not as much gain as usual, but it sounds way better than alll the way up. needs some time to get used to.

betreibt mal das pedal in der effekt schleife hab es heute an meinem engl getested un des klag haargenau wie der dritte kanal mit gainboost UND das wichtigste bei dem pedal sind die mitten stellt mal den freq. regler auf 10-11 Uhr und den mid regler auf auf 4 uhr die bässe neutrla und die höhen wenn man das pedal im effekt loop hat gut reindrehn wenn sie vor dem preamp sind die höhen auf 9 uhr oder weniger und dann rockt das ding gewaltig

@kimkikki get a blackstar dist x do not waste ur money on a mxr fullbore , i bought one and return it to the store the same week, the sound is way too harsh and does not sound natural, the dist x does and is worth the money (they are about the same price here in quebec so it would be better in usa)

wenn der Amp ordentlich Zerre hat, macht das Pedal weniger Sinn. Für völlig cleane Vorlagen innerhalb des Verstärkers schon eher. Wenn Du die Lautstärke oder den Druck und das Durchstzungsvermögen verbessern möchtest, musst Du hinter der Verzerrung (Einschleifweg) den Pegel erhöhen. Entweder mit einem Booster oder mit einem entsprechenden Equalizer.
Hinter die Vorstufe in den Einschleifweg. Da muss der EQ hin. Wenn Du die Verzerrung bearbeiten oder erhöhen möchtest, musst Du den Booster oder Zerrer VOR den Amp schalten. Das macht aber nur Sinn, wenn die Verzerrung nicht vollständig ist.

i have this pedal and honestly i think its better for solos. making it sound good for deep heavy playing takes alot of time to tweak it exactly right
you can kinda tell it sounds better soloing right at the very end start at 6:50

Der verwendete Verstärker war für den Sound im Video nicht so sehr wichtig wie man zunächst vermuten könnte.
Man kann hören, dass, wenn ich den Zerrer ausschalte, kein wirklicher Sound im üblichen Sinne vorhanden ist.
Alarm macht in diesem Falle wirklich ausschließlich der Zerrer..:)
