Muay Thai has been proven as a better style over all, but in in this fight the karate guy was at a disadvantage fighting with boxing gloves. But that guy probably would have lost either way.

Its called MMA, Alot of MMA fighters use Muay thai fighting techniques. Back in the Old UFC days all the karate guys got there asses kicked. Karate does not teach good ground techniques. Karate is a great fighting style but it need to adapt its training to fight in rings and cages, not on a mat

Muay thai does not have ground techniques, but it is adapted to ring and cage fighting. Muay thai techniques are more commonly used in MMA. The reason I bring UFC in to this cause the UFC was the first to bring different fight disaplines agaisnt each other. Back then Ju jitsu was the dominating fighting style.

MMA is garbage fighting by mostly hacks that cannot master one discipline. It's extremely boring as well. Muay Thai does incorporate more vicious blows in close contact fighting, that is quite obvious.

Your point that the Muay Thai guy couldn't use any of his 'clinches' and 'elbows' is totally moot - the Kyokushin guy couldn't use a lot of his deadlier techniques, either.
