  • @54321bb - Much appreciated comments! Thanks.

  • Aint that the Way that Gordan Patullo plays them songs ?.

  • @TheScotlandforever - I can't remember hearing Gordon play them. Possibly does, they are very good and popular tunes! Thanks for commenting!

  • Wullie, I was a personal friend of Dermot O Brien in myopinion he was the master of the box , i claim to been to the most personal apperances he played I had known him since the 1960, I have recorded on tape with his permision, the last performance of his in Kilarney before he dide, if you would would like copies of them get in touch my handle is (thatshim@eircom.net) I know you would realy enjoy them Mike.

  • effing brilliant

  • @thefiddler32 - I wouldnt have gone that far. Thanks a lot though. Wullie.

  • See when I'm going to learn The High Level Hornpipe, I want to play it in David Vernon's version.

  • Great speed and nice base......tune not meant to be played so fast ...nice key change also.

  • @Lisnageeragh - Thanks for the comment. On this occasion, I was going for the over-the-top speed. Cheers, Wullie.

  • Phew!

  • Absolutely amazing dude, I've never seen anyone play like this- well done!

  • @waffleapocalypse - Thanks for these comments. They are very much appreciated! Wullie.

  • slow it down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @christopherboy97 - The extremelly fast way in which i play these is intentional, although i dont always play them this way. I understand yopur opinion in this case though.

  • no swing :(

  • @maitie2009 - In what way does this lack swing? If you mean the way i play the hornpipes, check out my other video of Harvest home, it is played more as a hornpipe. Thanks, Wullie.

  • @pijnscheutisnt phil cunningham in saint Roch's Cieidh band ?

  • Are hornpipes not meant to be the slowest of Irish dance tunes?? =/

  • @S93G - Traditionally yes. But often hornpipes are played as reels on the accordion. I often play these two as hornpipes then speed up to a reel speed. As on my most recent C.D. i play Harvest Home as a hornpipe and a reel. Thanks. Wullie.

  • Bravooo! Congrat!

  • If I was Phil Cunningham I would be stunned, but I am not so I"m flabbergasted.....

  • wow u r the only person that can play the same speed as me on harvest home maybe even faster... trust me av never met people that could do that plus i lyked that jig runrig

  • Bleurgh what is that? Too fast and messy. Speed is the opposite of musicality I'm afraid. Though it does require a talent of a different kind

  • Very good:-))))))))))))))))))))))))

  • what can i say fantastic playing. very fast fingers. 5 starsxxxxx

  • i watch your work it is so good you have it and at an early age get out there people need to see you

  • most amazing thing i seen was one night back in 82 dermot suprised me and few other people he played orange blosome special on his accordion then a bloke in scotland gig said can you play five row button accordion , well he played the same tune and more ; i seen that sure you would apreciate that

  • get a midi system start singing ,drum machine you can have string sounds etc ,you will go far

  • He's got the lot Music tech king major midi system in accordion, Ketron x4 , Technics smac1200, Korg 05rw. All inherited from me (his Dad) and the bugger only wants to use the Korg for Bass and chord sounds. Some of his later vids have bass and chord midi. He canny smile never mind sing.......LOL

  • you played that better than it has been played , speed shows ability great bass hand and right altogether master

  • its fast thats how dermot did this it shows your ability as a fast playing piece , done perfect great bass had aswell , you have it all you are the future player mate

  • I think wullie was playing it the way he wants to play it.

look at his other video's, and dance to them!.

  • this is one of my favourite pieces that i step dance to but this is too fast for steps

  • this player starts off perfect but then looses the run of it altogether

  • too fast

  • Sally though the garden gate!!!!

  • thats unreal!

  • keep up the good work! you are a promising musician

  • Incredibly talented....and then some. I have played for many years, and when I saw this my jaw dropped. You truly are a master Wullie. I hope that you are getting the chance to share your gift with more people than just youtube fans.

  • Use sound-editors to speed down a record.

This MONSTER speed did no harm to quality!

  • no idea how to do that pal, but thanks anyway.

  • would love you to post the high level in "proper time playing" mate. I play by ear and would love to be able to learn it. To play at the speed you are is just amazing. Please post at slower speed for us meer mortals.
