best way to hit the strigons is take a plane with high stability. Then just high-g after them as they high-g and when they are near a stall thell have to fly normal. You can outmaneuvre them and shoot two missiles into their engines. incredibly small time to do that but it works.
Why don't you use the CFA-44 Nosferatu if you completed the game? The ADMM can target up to 10 aircraft in one go.
