  • Sometimes the words move too quickly for my liking. I wish I had more time to meditate on the words as the song continued.... I'm sure that all the Mass parts shouldn't add up to a mere 12 minutes.... Nevertheless.... It's almost sounds like something you'd here in a broadway musical (especially the Agnus Dei) This will never bee equated with Missa de Angelis.

  • but they should not be the same tone for all the songs of the Mass

  • beautiful, solemn and practical, the music must be! great music

  • Listened to whole Mass. Basically trite. Borders on syrupy. Why all the repeating of phrases.

Sounds like Protestant evangelical worship. Not the slightest reminisence of Roman tradition here.

  • Why repeat the first phrase? It is not repeated in the Missal. Composer Ned Rorem wrote that any composer that repeats a text when the author didn't, does not understand the text.

  • Very nice. I like the woodwind and string parts. Any chance there are some brass parts floating around?

  • if you're looking for something more contemporary and upbeat, please check out "New Catholic Mass Music" or "New Catholic Mass Music Gloria" videos. These arrangements are getting rave reviews at our parish in Southern California.

  • This mass setting is easy to learn and very beautiful! The congregation will need to learn a new mass setting and this one will work well.

  • Tony...this is a beautiful mass...heard it for first time today on catholic Channel..great job..it is a very easy setting and flows very well...I Like IT Very Much..cant wait to try it out in real time after Nov 27th...

  • Dreadful....sounds like a cheap broadway musical. Hardly appropriate for Holy Mass...

  • **In addition** I've been involved with the Mass changes since they were announced i our Diocese. One listen to this and I was sold.

  • I addition, we're already singing the setting of the Holy, Alleluia and plan on starting the Amen next week.

  • LOVE this new Mass! I'm am the Music Director/Liturgist for Holy Cross Parish in Kansas City, Missouri. I head up both the English and Spanish congregations of our bilingual parish. We will be using this until Easter...when we will change to the list of our Bishop's preferred Masses. This Mass setting is the best I've heard!

  • With the new roman missal coming up before the year ends, our organist is using this setting at our church in less than 6 weeks.

  • horrific.

  • i . love this, one .the people can follow the song, easily.Very joyful , lively and simple. i can play it in the nursing home and hospital for the mass.thank you for your gift of music.. ..

  • Our Choir director is using this setting

  • I would use this.

  • Thanks for this great resource! I couldn't hear the preview on the GIA site, so I'm grateful that you put these out here. I will be purchasing whichever setting we decide to use.

  • This one is another contemporary setting that would be good for a wedding.
