Compare the lifestyles of children in 1900 to children in 2000. Were children unable to pay attention to things for an extended period of time in 1900? Better than they can now. What's different, and causing us to believe in the hype that is ADHD (at least in my opinion)? Sensory overload via TV, internet; lack of physical activity; disregard for books and solo activities.

Because they have been normalized by society
we rather get mad at baseball players using steroides then our doctors that have a magic pill funded by pharmaceutical companies
