Okay, every tutorial I see always finds the simplist of programs to crack. I always see the crap ASCII - "Your serial/password was incorrect"..which is a friggin INSTANT flag to where and what you need to do. I would like to see a little more in-depth description of how to find these codes, using different methods from other companies. The more programs develop to become "better" programs, the more the coding changes..the harder it is to find. Right now I'm working my way up to doing pogo bots..

Lech some simple crackme's like this one and open them up in ollydbg. Search for good and badboy nag's, set break points and trace. DONE

Most programs that need a serial use remote server authentication, there isn't a list of serials in the program, it's not in the source.
