you could have used far more interesting tactics than something as cheap as the genji glove + master's scroll combo, considering you're putting this on youtube. if you're not demonstrating skill, what are you showing then? how fast you can down the (supposedly) toughest boss in the gba port? apparently it doesn't take much when you avoid putting any thought into it. i think i have more trouble with ultros than you do here. thanks for the effortless video.
Master Scroll is found Ruined Castle under Figaro (just ask to go to Kohilin (sp)). It's in a chest guarded by a Monster-in-a-box.
The second Ultima Weapon can be stolen from one of the bosses in Kefka's 3rd tier (just before Kefka himself). You're allowed to save and continue after the credits roll. You can also steal a Ragnorak Sword there and later bid it for Lightbringer sword at the Coliseum (best sword in the game)!
Cool note : If you wait until Kaiser uses up eight elemental phases and one non-elemental, you'll only have to deplete 65000 HP of his. Good to know if you're trying to do this without that much grinding or cheapness (Really, Ultima Weapon+Master Scroll+Genji Glove+Quick kills any challenge this game has to offer.)
fun fact: the Kaiser Dragon is just the scrapped Czar Dragon boss from the original version of ff6 finished with a new name, they look almost identical and have the same stats and battle script if you dont believe me look it up on the ff wiki
an absolute god of ff8 where as ff10 its like sevral 100s of hours and actuall thought process that makes this aciveable also buy all means simple 99'999 attack is not the only useful move once you have that i would say the aeons for example Magus Sisters are all extremely powerful and can break the 9,999 damage limit right from the start and the attack with mindy does something like 20 attacks wich can get up to about 80k dmg easyily which is way more useful than the basic attack so ur wrong!
@radationgranade i disagree... FFX is an EXTREMELY easy game... penance is just a rinse repeat battle and thats supposed to be the challege? get Magic stat is the only real grind and it's frankly not needed, the rest is easy... you can have a file on X with everyone maxed out in about 100 hours tops. as for the attack from the magus sisters (i.e. Passado) It is frankly useless as it's not a guarantee that she will even use that attack, plus at later stages it only does around 12k-16k per hit...
@zeomatrix3 It's not as easy as you think. Maybe with the main story then yes it is easy. But getting the ultimate weapons is hell for me. I don't think that I will EVER get the Sun Sigil for Caladbolg. Or the Saturn Sigil for Spirit Lance. The monster arena is a bitch for me. Unlocking and fighting Nemesis are both equally difficult.
@DartUchiha that was hard. but once i got all those sigils and such, and wakka, tidus, and rikku were doing 99999 easily, the game was a bit too repetitive and i didnt feel like beating ultima buster (but ffx is still good)

What a boring boss, the boss should punish people exploiting the dual wielding multi attack ability by counter casting flare for each time he was damage.
well , duel casted ultima. casted reraise on everyone , equiped celes with ultima weapon and save the queen (master scroll) edgar jump and realm as my heeler
i used a strategy like this, i had two ultima weapons on terra and a ragnarok and excalibur on celes casted quick and valor with hastega and life 3. lol, was one dead dragon to say the least.
i finally got a chance to fight him both here and the soul shrine in one day! whew i'm tired but the best strategy is cast reraise and curagas till he has barrier shifted 4 or 5 times ,as each barrier change is a life he's losing when you start the attack he will die a lot faster. since this was my first time against him i gotta say neo shinryu was much harder .
I was saying to myself "He doesn't look THAT tough" until he almost one-shotted Sabin.
That said, the Kaiser dragon is clearly meant to be effective against a party primarily attacking with MAGIC, since he spent...well, most of the fight doing Barrier Change.
Of course I've no idea how you got two Ultima weapons when the second one is only accessible in the third tier of the final battle, but hell of a scary strategy nonetheless.
@Pyre You can get them from the boss fight before kefka i think, if i remember right its the "Face" boss that can drop, sorry if i still had my game i'd tell you specifics :(
@Pyre in the GBA version you can save after the final boss, and he respawns, so in theory you can steal as many ultima weapons/ragnarok's as you can stand to

@Pyre Probably because this is the GBA version and anything you steal from the final boss battle stays within your inventory after Kefka goes down since the game "rolls over" to open up the Soul Shrine/Dragon's Den.

I feel that the FF programmers should have at least considered having different code for the optional and final bosses if the gamer decides to put on gear like the one found on this video. It gets boring really quick and the challenge is not even existent.
Look at FF8. Meltdown+Aura+ Limit Breaks is pretty much the only strategy used by everyone.
And besides Penance, FFX's system is a joke because everything is worthless once you can deal 99,999 damage in just physical attacks.
@Salesman I totally agree. I wish more of the fights you see online were "real fights" where you have to use some sort of strategy. Even Quick/Ultima as your strategy works because the Kaiser/Omega Dragon manage to break that pattern and you have to adapt quickly.
It's why I like FFIV so much better, there is no possible way to set your crew up like this.
@wheredarknessislight Oh, FFIV is easy but it's nice that you can't give everyone the best equipment and wreck everything that you come across. It's also one of the few games that you can't do a low-level challenge with (I'm talking about FFIV hard type, not the GBA/SNES version).
Granted, you could give everyone the Adamant Armor but without cheating, that's an extremely time consuming process.
I realize that you had to super-power your characters to make this battle fit within 10 minutes, but he's SO much more fun if you fight him with a normally-leveled party.
Beating him with these overwhelming characters is easy, isn't it? I did it with lvl 50 characters *laughs* It took me almost one hour. Kaiser can be a great chalange or... well.... He can be weak as in this battle. Dunno how you guys get all the characters that strong. Beating Kaiser in 5 minutes... awesome.

its on the underground castle beneath figaro(when u go underground in the castle and get stuck just stay)...not sure the name but u fight some boss dude sorry i havent played ff6 for so long and yeah before u enter the castle u chose the left door and u see a treasure chest ...open it and u fight a boss...killing it will give u the master scroll
I'm guessing they were going to put him in as the last dragon boss (after you beat the eight dragons) but changed their minds and put Crusader there instead.
well they did always send rumors of a possible 9th dragon and kaiser was that 9th dragon. they left out a couple of un mentioned enemies kaiser and colossus. but thanks to ff 3 rom hack tools u can add them whenever and wherever u want.
Well, the Vedlt Caves even hinted at Czar Dragon appearing, too, I wager. They kept talking about an insanely strong monster there, and Brachiosaur isn't that strong. However, if you look at his sprite, it's almost the same as Fallen Dragon's sprite. The GBA version added a lot more "oomph" to his sprite (like wings).

I feel that the FF programmers should have at least considered having different code for the optional and final bosses if the gamer decides to put on gear like the one found on this video. It gets boring really quick and the challenge is not even existent.
Look at FF8. Meltdown+Aura+ Limit Breaks is pretty much the only strategy used by everyone.
And besides Penance, FFX's system is a joke because everything is worthless once you can deal 99,999 damage in just physical attacks.

@Salesman I totally agree. I wish more of the fights you see online were "real fights" where you have to use some sort of strategy. Even Quick/Ultima as your strategy works because the Kaiser/Omega Dragon manage to break that pattern and you have to adapt quickly.
It's why I like FFIV so much better, there is no possible way to set your crew up like this.

@wheredarknessislight Oh, FFIV is easy but it's nice that you can't give everyone the best equipment and wreck everything that you come across. It's also one of the few games that you can't do a low-level challenge with (I'm talking about FFIV hard type, not the GBA/SNES version).
Granted, you could give everyone the Adamant Armor but without cheating, that's an extremely time consuming process.

yeah, but the ultimate weapons take work to find, power up, and even then you have to max out your stats for each character.
its very simple once you take 400 hours to do that, sure.

What does Diabolos do? And what magic does it teach you? I don't think it would have that much use at this point in the game.

It teaches you Graviga and Gravija. For each level up, the character gains 100% more hp. When summoned, it reduces the enemy's hp to critical.

Beating him with these overwhelming characters is easy, isn't it? I did it with lvl 50 characters *laughs* It took me almost one hour. Kaiser can be a great chalange or... well.... He can be weak as in this battle. Dunno how you guys get all the characters that strong. Beating Kaiser in 5 minutes... awesome.

its on the underground castle beneath figaro(when u go underground in the castle and get stuck just stay)...not sure the name but u fight some boss dude sorry i havent played ff6 for so long and yeah before u enter the castle u chose the left door and u see a treasure chest ...open it and u fight a boss...killing it will give u the master scroll

in the ancient castle, you have to fight the samurai soul, if you defeat him, you get the master's scroll

They were gonna add Czar to the SNES version, but either they thought he'd be too insanely strong or something and just buried him in the code.
He was completely done except for his moveset (which just had attack)

He - and his dialog - were programmed into the game since the SNES version, but there was no way to actually encounter him until the GBA remake.

I'm guessing they were going to put him in as the last dragon boss (after you beat the eight dragons) but changed their minds and put Crusader there instead.

well they did always send rumors of a possible 9th dragon and kaiser was that 9th dragon. they left out a couple of un mentioned enemies kaiser and colossus. but thanks to ff 3 rom hack tools u can add them whenever and wherever u want.

Well, the Vedlt Caves even hinted at Czar Dragon appearing, too, I wager. They kept talking about an insanely strong monster there, and Brachiosaur isn't that strong. However, if you look at his sprite, it's almost the same as Fallen Dragon's sprite. The GBA version added a lot more "oomph" to his sprite (like wings).
