  • This band Kix ass!!!! Still as good live as they were back in the day! Hey Donnie, where the hell are you? Get back in the band! This band should be huge! Would love to see them do it 25 years later! It would be fitting. This band was so much better than the rest of the "Metal" bands in the 80's, hell they were not even metal, just a great Rock n Roll band. They deserve so much more and I hope they get it! Check them out, they are still playing live!

  • Bassline reminds ya of 70s detective shows lol.

  • Man this brings back memories. They played at my High School project graduation at Andrews Air Force Base in 1987.

  • @paratrooperhowie How cool! You're very lucky.

  • They are playing tonight in Gettysburg at the granite hill campgroung for bike week.

  • i love this tune it is a flash back for me!

  • 10 people take hot showers...

  • @knowmoremonkeys

I loved the old Hammerjacks :)

Kix played at my college and I worked as Stage Security It was awesome and the guys were really cool

  • Like the funky bass line and the voice of the singer.

  • how many albums does KIX have? BLOW MY FUSE 1988 is the best one

  • @PEDROCLASSIC To date KIX has 6 official albums and they are planning on doing a new one now in 2011! It's called 'Let's Rock!' I really hope that it compares to the old ones.. No Donnie, but.. We'll see!

  • @MrSuzyLidonnie left o what?

  • @MrSuzyLips bummer! why no Donnie?

  • @Leatherfaceism I guess Donnie just isn't interested in KIX anymore and I've heard that the guys in the band didn't like Donnie at all..

  • Steve can hit the highest notes. It's awesome!

  • best kix song ever

  • I wish I had a time machine so I could go back to the 80's, cause they had some kick ass music.

  • I LOVE KIX, THIS SONG RULES

  • Glad to see Kix has fans in Colombia

  • i have a chance at least 4 times a year to see kix,and have great time with steves, local band Funny money!

  • guess they had to edit the song and make it shorter...odd cut.

  • Kix = awesome band..Kix early video...hahaha funny shyt

  • 1986 - Kenmore Square

  • I am a metal loving guy who grew up in the 80's but somehow I totally missed out on this band. Randomly heard this on the radio and loved it. I feel like I've been going to McDonalds every day for years and never realized they sell good apple pies until just this moment. Or something. So many great metal bands from this era that fell through the cracks, shame.

  • Most underrated band ever!!!! My cousin was the original drummer, Donnie Spence!!!

  • I saw this video for the first time on a UHF video show for underground metal/hard rock bands. Blew me away. When they finally hit the scene big for a while I felt cool because I was already diggin' them. Cool story, huh?

  • i like the music.

  • this song is about nothing and it still fuckin rocks

  • It s a real shame that Donnie Purnell (the Bassist in this video) who is the best rock song writer of the eighties , just quit and disappeared , stop being a pussy Donnie and get back to music , thats what you were put on this planet for.

  • @guitarvideosonline Yo, I agree, it's like Donnie died man, but what a songwriter and energetic presence, saw Kix this Friday on Long island (NY) and they still crushed like back in the day but we all missed Donnie.

  • GREAT band, Still ROCKS!!! See them at Gettysburg Bike Week, Granite Hill Camping Resort, Saturday Night July 9th 2011 Outdoor Concert

Should be a fuckn great time! See you there!

  • seen them so many times and im only 16.loveee themm!

  • Hammerjacks!!! They guys tore it up in the 80's.

  • These guys started off as Heavy Metal scrubs in a f*cked up beer and pot scene I bet.

  • Thank You for posting this video!

  • i remeber when they first came out play at my uncle bar in pasadena md they rock

  • unbelievable...never heard this song before...pure dynamite..if they'd ever show up in Germany I'll be there

  • they r still around in the town i live in the town they got big in love seeing them just about every other month in the local club!!!!

  • Such an underrated band. they deserved better

  • i won tickets from 98 rock at slap stix an saw them at 8th avenue they rocked the place

  • Wow, I miss them! They were so great!

  • Kix was 1 of the most underated metal bands ever. I was always disappointed that they didn't get bigger.

  • I liked it when they attempted pop metal. Took balls when everyone else went for loud guitars over melody.

  • Thank God for all you heavy metal heads still rockin' and commenting on great musicians like KIX. I love the chord changes in this song .Midnight Dynamite rocks!

  • Kix...playing at Club Met down in the Berg

  • Ate a bowl just this morning while jamming to this very tune.Good ass band.

  • Still playing shows minus donnie the bass player...still sound great..ive been following them since 79....

  • Great live band. I remember seeing them at the old Hammerjacks in Baltimore in the 1980's all the tmie.

One of the few bands that were better live than captured in the studio.

  • @Soxpert Man I miss Hammerjacks so damned bad. Those were the best times...

  • Some great songs from this band; saw them in my hometown of Keyser WV before their big, short lived success. Atomic Bombs, The Itch, Heartache, Love at First Sight, Poison, Yeah Yeah Yeah and this one. Great 80s stuff.

  • The sound quality or video doesn't do them justice...massive talent even if the subject is redundent and raunc burlesque.....they should've expanded...big sound

  • yes they rock!

  • Terribly misleading for breakfast cereal enthusiasts.

  • I heard they got screwed by their record company? Anybody know the story?

  • @Optics06

I don't know, but something didn't go down right. They had a platinum album and a top-10 hit and then it was over. Something wasn't right about that. They're such a great band. Saw them with Ratt twice in '89, and they stole the show. I was privileged to meet Ronnie 10/10 Younkins and Steve Whiteman after one of the shows. Very nice guys.

  • I caught them back in the day at the old Seagull Inn in B-more. They were pretty damn good, it was right before they left for LA for bigger and better things. I do remember they were LOUD as shit. I did not even realize they were still together. I heard when they originally broke up the lead singer was installing billboards or some shit

  • Damn that bass is killer! Go Donnie!

  • If you are over 10 years old and you think this is good music you are retarded. weak lyrics, weak singing weak everything. LOL

  • @bluetiege if you really believe that then why the hell r u watching this shithead

  • @bluetiege lets see you do better

  • weak, what crap, only a retard would think this is quality music, LOL crap vocals, crap lyrics, crap everything

  • @bluetiege Your the crap you can sux my *** you dont know nothing about music...the singer first hit the perfect note !! The riff are very good!!!the time are perfect !!! and the music groove !!! drink some beer smoke some mari if your not catolic or a bieber fans..after just Enjoy!!

  • @bluetiege you couldnt sing it lol im not even a kix fan but the guy hits some incredible notes there...chris cornell is the best ever though.

  • @bluetiege then why you here watching jackass. go troll somewhere else and listen to your Madonna records.

  • Hammerjacks in Balt... The Bayou in DC in the 80's...When they guys took the stage, they brought it live...They guys should have been bigger than they were... They blew everyone they toured with off the stage.

  • KIX ARE FOR EVERYONE, NOT JUST FOR KIDS!!! LOVE LIVE THE 80s!

  • Always loved this song.

  • This song was very musically interesting for the time. The lyrics were and remain pretty dumb though. hehe....

  • Facebook connect is a real bummer, man. Sounds like a legitimate form of forced network sharing. I know what people in this area listen to, and I don't listen to country. You don't like my opinion? Report me, you loser. It isn't like the country doesn't get enough exposure in this area, anyway. I gotta trave 400 miles to see a rock show, unless it's Kidrock or a rap concert. It gets OLD.

  • KIX ARE FOR KIDS

  • Wow! Haven't this since about 1986. How in the hell did they pull this off live? That lead vocal has at least five layers of multi-tracking on it and more reverb than a cathedral. Love it.

  • One of the best songs ever!

  • kix is great im so sick of the gay bands today and most people listen to 80s music but they keep making gayer and gayer bands its pissen me off!!!!!

  • @EvilMegaDeath hey i got my 15 year old totally into the 80's now he plays guitar and wears spandex too cool

  • cool band of all times.

  • Im going to see KIX tonight at the House Of Blues one of my all time Favorite bands

I hope they perform this Awsom Song

  • is it normal that i wasn't even born in the same decade this music was made and yet i dig the hell out it?

  • hell poison literally ripped off all of steve and donnie's moves.. back in the day what a big controversy... kixx is still far superior in my opinion because they are original.. Hell I was there. yes some of us actually hang on you tube looking for our old skool rock hell if you look close enough you will see a 16 yr old girl in most of their vids... h3ll0... I am 42 now.. and still kicking it.

  • I saw these guy's many times at Hammerjacks in Baltimore MDduring the 1980's.

  • One of the best rock voices ever.

  • They were good times,KIX & HAMMERJACKS!

  • @andyislooking I lived There LOL

  • That scene with the chick dancing is hilarious. Steve Whiteman is possibly the greatest front man of all time, I've seen him give Tyler and Jagger are run for there money.

  • Best band ever! soooo underrated

  • Kix one the most underrated bands of all time.

Glad to have known these guys. Really miss seeing them!!!!

  • golden shower ahhahahha

  • saw this song on

Metal Mania on VH1 Classics i love that show

  • First Kix song I ever heard. Saw it on a UHF video show in New York in '86 and was blown away.

  • @jimmyapple Used to watch Kix live at a little place in southeast Baltimore County...Essex...called the Seagull Inn...and oh my..what agood time

  • @davehutchinson67 wow how bout Facedancer,DC Star.Dundalk in the house

  • @Herb486 Sure..remember them all....

  • Midnight Dynamite is one of my favorite albums of all time. no filler..all killer!

  • kix is one of the most underrated bands ever... caught them live twice and they blew everyone off the stage!!!

  • Oooh, baby.

  • the 80's best music ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The bass player looks like Keith Richards.

  • KIK....KIX ASS

  • I hate to adimit that I liked some of this hard rock stuff (wuz into thrash metal and punk mainly) but there isn't a bad song on ""midnight dynamite" by KIX.

Lotsa fun and still good 25 years later.

  • yeaaahhh

  • i for real want his sequence jacket!!

  • just got back from there live show in baltimore fucking sweet

  • donnie always looked so hot rockin out with his bass!!! great song!! love KIX!!

  • Going to see Funny Money tonight! Can't wait!

  • The best underrated band of all time kix rocks

  • I think Thin Lizzy holds that title, but of the 80's, YEAH.

  • yeah you may be right I do love thin lizzy too.

  • @acdcgeorge Right on! They're on the same level as AC/DC if you ask me!

  • @acdcgeorge How true.

  • @acdcgeorge yes i grew up with them in my town

  • @xxjomommaxx steve whiteman grew up in piedmont w.v. about 15 miles from my house they played alot in the cumberland area

  • @acdcgeorge I totally agree, they did not have the looks. I mean like Sebastian Bach or Robin Crosly. Talent wise they sounded fresh.

  • @jamesdewer they still put on a great live show too

  • @acdcgeorge yes they are!!!!!!!!!! saw them about 20 times at Lamour in Brooklyn back in the day! goin to see them dec 11th at Starland Ballroom Sayreville new jersey!!! saw them last year, STILL awesome. sucks Donnie isn't in the band but Steve is still an awesome frontman.

  • Cindy said HI!!!

  • opened for Judas Priest at a concer this summer. they had so much energy they practically stole the show from judas priest

  • @ironwarpig It's not very hard when Rob is reading from teleprompters and can't hit the high squeals anymore. Not to mention his lethargic pacing that he seems to think looks cool. Even Dickenson still runs across the stage! I find it hard to watch Priest these days. It seems Rob has lost the fire.

  • Donnie is not a dork!!

  • Another great show last night in Brunswick MD...........they are great in both the small venues and the huge arenas as well. The very best live band out there.

  • saw these guys in newerk nj

  • Thanks for posting! Anyone from Boston in the 80's will remember they played a club called Narcissus in Kenmore Square many many times! Good stuff!

  • Man I loved these guys!! Never missed a show at Airport Music Hall!! oh and that trip to L'Amours in Queens!!!! Ronnie 10/10, and Brian "Damage" oohh baby!!

  • Allentown,Pa. Lotta Good Shows There!!!

  • I like how he points and says "FOR YOU!" it's like he's really pointing at me and he's like "dude, we are fucking ready to roll, stop fucking around and lets go rock"

also the dork bassist who refused to get hair extensions is a nice touch

  • Hahaha! Maybe he just didn't wanna grow his hair! :D

  • KIX's shit without DONNIE - DONNIE PLEASE COME BACK :)

  • most are pussys

  • Reminds me of HAMMERJACKS!!!!!!!!!!!

  • A-W-E-S-O-M-E

  • now THIS is coooooooooool and poooooooowerfull music!!!!!!!

  • Wow! Love that blast from the past!!

  • What a great, underrated band. Met some of the band in '89 down in New Orleans. Ronnie "10/10" is really a cool guy.

  • Feels like a flashback to Shiley Acres

    HOLLA!!!!!

  • We opened for them in Philly fun fun fun!!!

  • my mom used to work with the drummer, named jimmy, i met him, he is a chef at the yellow brick bank in shepherdstown west virginia, 10 miles from my town ^^

  • Apparently I teach guitar at the same music shop as one of these guitarists, so I had to look up see what he did. For the life of me i can't remember his name though. lol!

  • Either Brian Forsythe or Ronnie Younkins

  • They started in 1978 as The Shooz in Hagerstown MD.

  • Loved Hammerjacks and love Kix, Was stage boucer for them at Catonsville Community College Summer Fest in 1986.

  • They're from Hagerstown, MD

  • That's what I always heard.

  • essex boys fuckin rule!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • wasent kix orinigenated in baltimore maryland?

  • F.Y.I. it's Lancaster PA, but for some reason they claim they are from MD????? Nobody knows why they claim MD as their home???

  • Donnie, Brain, Ronnie are from MD and Donnie was the driving force of KIX who wrote most of the songs. So its not to shocking that they claim MD as the hometown.

  • It's ok bryan you guys have poison lol

  • anton figg plays drums on this cut - you can see anton figg play any night monday thru friday - he's dave letteman's house band drummer

  • Crazy ass song! I love it!

  • kix is great!! Love all the hairband music.

Most unique sound from that era.

Should of been more recognized nationally. They did get alot of play back in the day on DC101.

  • BS they were 98Rock!!!!

  • Well you listen to 98 rock and they were played there.... I listened to DC101 and they were played there too. Why are you such a tool? Ya ya, I know now you want to kick my Butt.....join the crowd...... Axlebubba
