  • Interesting little video.....but think it would sound nicer with dynasonics....single coils just seem to be better for rock n roll.

  • There is absolutely NO Boogie Woogie in ANY way shape or form in this video!

  • Original Boogie Woogie was just piano people....do some research.

  • I love boobie woogie... and trying to build a collection of this kind of songs...

Any suggestions? (Especially guitar, base and drum based songs)

  • Sweet

  • yer now drop d it, slow it down and add loadsa gain and your rockin man !

  • Please let me know what model you are using; I like it I had both the 6120 and 6122 got rid of both of them, just not the Upper Eschelon I expected or remembered as I stated below I am not a professional nor did I have over $2000.00 to spend (I had that for two guitara an Acoustic and Electric so I bought them).

  • if you want the TV Jones Pick Ups or Ultra Sonics by the original and not the cheaper line of Gretsch; but if you dont play professionally most will find the cost too high by professionally I mean your an excellent player you would hardly be in need of such a great guitar. Nothing Sounds like a Gretsch; if you dont think so listen to the Grown and that of the Early Beatles! Enjoy!

  • Play you on a Fender amp?

  • @plektren Looks like it was a 1965 Princeton Reverb with a 12" Celestion Vintage 30.

  • I played one of those cheap Gretsch guitars the other day, nice big neck, pretty darn good. For the money, I think they are good.

  • I'm 16 , and I love Boogie woogie, and I play it!! Yeah. good job ser!!

  • @MisterNatale I'm just an old goofball, but I like to rock! These are the first kinds of riffs I learned in the 70's listening to records.

  • haha....."today's children have lost the ability to boogie woogie" you say that so seriously like a news reporter lol.

  • @hopop313 Pretty serious man! Strats rock! Buddy is my hero!!!!

  • @hopop313 its true man

  • @MrZiggycatt YOu tell 'em!!!

  • @meatbundle

Im also 16 years of age....and i cant find anybody my age to jam with its fucking crazy!

The only guys i have anything in comman with musically are my dads friends lol

  • @hopop313 Brilliant!

  • I don't have a Gretsch guitar....I have a Fender Strat....But Hey, thats what good old Buddy Holly played so thats good enough for me!

  • ihaaaaaaaa))

  • Thnx I needed to learn this XD

  • I forgot how easy it is to rock!

  • doesnt get into deep stuff

    but does get u laid

  • Thanks a lotttttttttt man ;) that sounds great gonna dig in this and keep trying untill i have got it .....

    :") yehaaaw lol

  • Thank you, sir!

  • I dig Setzer, he cranks out quite a few good solo records. Also like Jeff Beck a lot! The Rev, Gene Vincent, Beatles, Stones, Hendrix, Chuck Berry, The replacements, The Cramps, Holwing Wolf, Muddy Watters, Crapton, Buddy Holly, The Sadies, The Love Me Nots, The Stooges, all kinds of American one hit wonders, anything that's kinda garage like is cool! Thanks! Maybe I'll do some more clips again soon.

  • That "unfortunately" bit is bad for the health of my pinky.

  • great sounding guitar

  • Fucking awesome skills!!

but I didnt' learn anything :(

  • THIS IS AWESOME!! @ meatbundle Thank you for this lesson! What bands are you into? Mostly old stuff? Any new stuff? Thanks!

  • Awesome. Too many people know how to play the same stupid brian adams ballads and it makes you sick after a while...

  • LOL. U gat a nice little tune goin there. nice guitar dude

  • honestly no bs everytime i jam with my pals we always play this, without hearing about boogie woogie? never heard of it is it like rockabilly?

  • @BRYANJONATHAN13 There ya go...not that much intellectualization needed, just bone head rock

  • YEHHHH HAWW!!! very nice, fun and thank you

  • @Ugonawin It is fun!!! Did you get to the B chord?

  • uh-HUH

  • Sir, you are absolutely right kids today definitely do NOT know how to boogie woogie. Nice lesson.

  • bad

  • thanx :)

  • I love how you build the riff.

  • Thanks meatbundle,

You’re an insparation. Rock ‘n’ Roll l Rules.

  • @jjmmcc01 I keep hittin it year after year!!!!

  • Man i just learned AC/DC's rocker and ZZtops brown suger its got great buggie woogie riffs in it man thats the stuff i love to play man u keep rockin Bro ur doin an awesome job iv watched ur video atleast 30 times iv almost got it down pat Great job man

  • hey it's awesome man! I like the rhythm, thanks :D

  • I would like to hear this played on an acoustic.... would it work at all?

Can you get similar Gretsch for around $1k? That old one sounds pricey...

  • You could look at getting some TV Jones pickups in one of those cheapies....I think it would sound killer on any guitar. Really it's all in your hands and mind. I spent decades chasing down vintage guitars and they are cool and all, but the public sure does not care! I bet a re-issue Gretsch would be cool too.

  • I'm a Metal Head and this is my favourite style to play on the guitar! Boogie Woogie!!

  • You seemed to enjoy it! I hope I get as much from it. Many thanks

  • lol, my arms hurt :-)

  • @pat17091975 I forgot to mention keeping your arms, wrists and hands kinda relaxed and loose.

  • You rock the way it was meant to be man thanks this is so helpful for my band

  • What kind of stuff do you guys play? I am super hyped to be helpful!

  • @meatbundle

  • yes "instant rock n roll!" xD great!

  • Anyone else have any theories on the orgin of this guitar? Who's got eagle eyes?

  • @meatbundle Looks to me like a Chet Atkins Solid Body. maybe 1959 model? though it doesn't have the stupid flappy bit. Is the Vibrato tailpiece a Bigsby B3C?

  • @meatbundle Looks to me like a Chet Atkins Solid Body. maybe 1959 model? though it doesn't have the stupid flappy bit. Is the Vibrato tailpiece a Bigsby B3C?

  • @Dalamar100 Pretty close Dalamar100....'57 6121. Has a Bigsby added and Filtertrons were also added, all before I bought it super cheap.

  • @meatbundle Ah of course. its the stained orange headstock that gives it away as the 6121 model. as far as I know all other gretsch models have a brown or black head stock.

  • that is not a fake gretsch !!!!! it is a new one made over seasessssssssssss!!!

  • fake gretsch

  • Go for it! Awesome! Gotta swing a little bit now and then. Thanks for checking out the clip! I have fun doing these and they are kinda tounge in cheek.

  • Wouldn't really call this boogie woogie, because that's more the style that Albert Ammons and such played on the piano... This is more rockabilly, which kicks ass equally hard by the way...

  • Ya get that rockabilly! I call everything boogie woogie....just rambling

  • try it with no strings.

  • Its almost that song about a hot rod lincoln..

  • lol boggie loogie

  • Hey guys!

Just feel the boogie woogie, you don't need a tab!

  • very very good man!!FoLeY bY FRanCe

  • I like it.

  • Hello...I can help you. The point of this little demonstration is to use your ears and rely less on tablature. Do you know E5 power chord? Start there with your first finger on 5th string at 2nd fret. Hit the two big strings...that's E5...then add the other bits. Let me know how far you get....I'll help you.

  • Who have tab for this lesson, help me please))
