So good to hear the younger generation likes this music. Its what i grew up to and its all i listen too now. Culture club, Huey Lewis, Phil Collins. The big hair bands like Def Leppard, Motley Crue, Judas Priest. Id say music died somewhere in the mid to late 90s Imo.

In the early/mid 80s there was a lot of funk-compatible music that crossed from the R&B chart to the US and UK pop charts. AND vice-versa.

Melba Moore's "Love's Comin At Ya" reached #15 on the UK pop chart in 1982 while
