  • I am sure the 70's, 80's and 90's also had their "Justin Bieber" - you know: pop artists with no lasting qualities, but since time showed that they really were crap nobody listens to them anymore. And music today is definitely not dead. If you think it is, obviously you go to the wrong clubs, buy the wrong cd's, listen to the wrong radio stations and choose the wrong youtube videos.

  • most girl ive seen in gr.. so fishy lookin.. fish market should i say.. but this reminds me of a morning school in 80's tv song..

  • Greek supporters!!!

  • with all the videos i remember one critic said look away and if the song sounded good then it is,sometimes the visuals can take away,so listen first then watch. sometimes you get a better sense of the song

  • So good to hear the younger generation likes this music. Its what i grew up to and its all i listen too now. Culture club, Huey Lewis, Phil Collins. The big hair bands like Def Leppard, Motley Crue, Judas Priest. Id say music died somewhere in the mid to late 90s Imo.

  • gay song ?

  • hes still prettier than most girls i know

  • @DigestibleComestible You need to get out more...lol

    Cheers

  • I wish i was alive in the 80s :/

  • Oh 80s, how I miss you blind!!!

  • The 80's are musics biggest history making era from Rock, Pop, R&B, Jazz and even Rap. All has gone down the shitter, especial Rap!Not one positive lyric. Just a bunch of babbling idiots. And today's Teeny Boppers(Beiber) are painful to listen to...Lets stop this ear pollution by keeping the 80's alive

  • @gmccall22 I know people like Lil Wayne and Drake and Jay Z think they are so good. People at my school like that kind of music. Justin Bieber is a Beaver! Real music is the 70s, 80s and 90s. Music died in the 2000s and then it went on to be trash and turned to be garbage. Today's music hurts your ears. This is coming from a 13 year old. Seriously i'm 13 and my family agrees. I'm starting an army protesting against today's music. Bring back the old music. And tv shows! Join!

  • @csmith9539 oh grow up

  • @csmith9539 YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT! BUT the world is a money making machine. Since they can't find huge talents, they keep selling crappy music.

  • he is so hot in this

  • i love boy george's make-up in this video! it was the best he EVER looked

  • i dont miss him

  • @rolandoyanez1 Why because of the way he looks?! Get a life! Real music is not the way people look. Go listen to Justin Bieber or the rest of the sucking artists today!

  • Is that Jermaine Stewart on backing vocals?

  • @MelissaB1976 yup that's Jermaine

  • @MelissaB1976 yup that's Jermaine

  • @MelissaB1976 yup that's Jermaine

  • @MelissaB1976 yup that's Jermaine

  • "Color by Numbers" was my favorite Culture Club album when I was 13 years old.

  • 80's the most incredible music ever

  • hilarious comments before an after this song on their VH1 Storytellers...

  • Classic tune! i remember the rumors about Boy George dating the bass player LOL!!

  • @musiclover3928 ... it was actually the drummer, jon moss.

  • I liked this tune better than "Karma Chameleon", and always will. I think Culture Club would have fit in nicely with The Glam-Rock Movement of The 70's; I truly believe that. Too bad Boy George lost his hair; He looked glorious back in 1984.

  • i hate the ads before the song tf who is THAT DAMN DUMB ASS DOUCHE BAG????

  • I love his voice!

  • What a great guitar solo by Roy!

  • amazing music video.....the 80's really were the last era in which creativity flourished.

  • at 3:42-3:43 roy? green nail polish?

  • I used to have a crush on boy george... when i was 10. lol, this was one of my favorite songs.

  • he is so beautiful for a man !!!

  • i love this song & boy george ! Keep It Up :)

  • i love culture club!

  • "Miss Me Blind" got up to # 8 on the U.S. R&B chart in 1983.

In the early/mid 80s there was a lot of funk-compatible music that crossed from the R&B chart to the US and UK pop charts. AND vice-versa.

Melba Moore's "Love's Comin At Ya" reached #15 on the UK pop chart in 1982 while

it did not crack the U.S. top 40 pop chart.

A few more examples, the US R&B Chart: "Shock the Monkey", "(Keep Feeling) Fascination" "Out of Touch."

  • You may find that it is worth the time to take a look and listen at the song lists that

have been posted to Itunes Ping that meld together rhythmically & stylistically

    compatible early/mid 80s R&B/funk songs and early/mid 80s synth pop/new wave

songs. Lots of music that was either forgotten or not ever learned

of but was very enjoyable or would be very enjoyable if it was rediscovered or

discovered for the 1st time by people that enjoy this type of music. People like you?

  • I have researched these music categories for the past 9 years

and I have rediscovered tunes I had forgotten about or I discovered

new tunes that totally deserved the time it took to discover them.

In Itunes Store or Itunes Ping if you use the search terms "electrofunk" (as a single word) or "80s funk" the search result shall produce several lists that have "electrofunk" or "80s funk" in the playlist name in the "Playlist" category at the low left corner of the search result.

  • Click on the "more" link and once you have opened the next page that has

all of the Playlist search results for "electrofunk" or "80s funk",

you'll quickly find a bunch of lists that use the title "Ebony & Ivory Electrofunk".

  • These lists have songs that (1) you may have heard before and enjoyed but forgotten or (2) songs that you may enjoy now but you have not heard before. These lists also include album cuts that were not released as singles and songs from lesser known yet solid groups/soloists such as Fatback, Kashif, Laid Back, D Train, Boys Don't Cry, and Dynasty.

  • is he from georgia or what like him but the lyric annoying

    karma chameleon better ah

  • Actually i love the other hits of culture club like:IT'S A MIRACLE,WAR SONG.MOVE AWAY and of course MISS ME BLIND...very great group

  • Back in the 80's...when MTV was fun, cool to watch...I was 19 when mTV came to be...watched Culture Club with friends..made fun of Boy George, and alot of other vid's back then...GOD I MISS THOSE DAYS....

  • @Teebone211 WE WANT THE 80'S BACK! What's rap anyway?! Can't hear a word they say... LOL You know what? I turned to Eastern Music - It's actually pretty good. Indians have beautiful music and nowadays great movies. What happened to english/american music/movies culture?! What happened to the US of A and England?! We want it back!

  • beatifull person,great artist,respect george x x

  • SENSE: This video makes none

  • @dcamargo86 Name five things from the 80's that made sense and were of any good. :P

  • @dcamargo86 And what does make sense? I suppose Lady Ga Ga and that Booty Bounce Crap that they play now? The 80s didn't try to be cool - they just were!

  • @whitemagic70 The song kicks ass, but the video just makes me laugh on bringing me to the times where almost every kind of weirdness were allowed in the music, without leaving the quality behind. That´s what i´m talking about.

  • @dcamargo86 Cool - I really miss the 80s but you are right they were weird at times but then it was just us being us - take care God Bless :)

  • @whitemagic70 Yeah if I could go back to this again I sure would.

  • buen temaso son recuerdos de los 80

  • I know you're mince meat I know you're mince meat I know you're mince meat piiiiiiiiiiiiiiiieeeeeeee - LMAO

  • The video is stylish - I love the Japanese tones - I am inspired to have a Japanese Garden next Summer - oh and I miss you blind Boy George - your fan forever here in Burton Michigan USA!

  • great song!!!!!!

  • wish i was alive in the 80's...looks like fun.

  • @penny772 it was, trust me

  • you`ll miss me blind :) and you know it ...

  • Mostly men and pink colours in this video. Hmmm, one suspects something. Boy is rumoured to have HIV too. Lol, was back in 1984 for a minute there!

  • I've hear rumors that they are doing a new album with the original members?

  • I think Boy George is a gay man.

  • @EvangelistEvan no shit Sherlock. Lol

  • Love the song-the video had the potential to stand the test of time until they had actual blinds getting pulled down in the video. Real clever.

  • VEVO DE MIERDAAA¡¡

    恋の盲目

  • Love this song....I bought this on 45....yes i said 45....not cassette, not cd, not mp3...and yes I am telling my age but so what....I am proud I was an 80's teen. lol

  • @mochafrap2006 Yes! Such fond memories! I must have been about 16 or 17 when this song was a big hit!

  • @mochafrap2006 HOW LUCKY YOU ARE!!! I WISH I WAS A TEEN IN 80S, BUT I WAS BORN IN 1985 BUT AT LEAST THAT DECADE IS MY SOUL. LOVE 80s AND THERE WILL NEVER BE A TIME LIKE THIS.

  • @mochafrap2006 WUT R U TALKIN ABOUT ???? THE 80'S ROCKED!!! I WASNT A TEEN THEN! BUT I KNOW BECAUSE THE CULTURE AND MUSIC WAS AMAZING! AND IT STILL IS EVEN NOW!

  • @mochafrap2006 teen in the 80s? I was already in twenties back then, a young man fresh out of college enjoying life to its fullest. Travelling the world. Living in the Windy City, great job at a great company, met the love of my life, Susan from the UK - yes the world was mine back then. Those were the best years of my life. BTW, I used to have 45s too. Still got 'em somewhere.

  • @mochafrap2006 i bought 12 inch lol

  • @mochafrap2006 i love all of boy george's music such a talent

  • @mochafrap2006 I bought the remix 12 inch club version on an album...we kids born in the 70 grew up in the 80 ROCKED!!!! Nothing like vinyl baby = )

  • @mochafrap2006 I taped it on a cassette so I can play it in my car. Proud to have been in my early twenties in the 80"s.

  • @bloodboa59 Mix tapes for the win! Remember those? For some reason it doesn't sound as meaningful when one talks about a "mix ipod."

  • @mochafrap2006 Do u still wear your leg warmers?

  • I remember the World Primere Video on MTV during spring break 1984 with an intro by Martha Quinn...was life ever that innocent?

  • Japan, Thailand, same stuff....

  • @PktMma yeah, no

  • @ 0:40-0:42 why is boy George so gorgeous?

  • love the song but the video is so weird

  • A one direction ad before a culture club video really isn't doing anything for one direction. Just saying.

  • I STILL drop this in my DJ sets (once & a while) & it kills every time!

  • Tip for Internet ads, I don't pay any fucking attention when your ads are a freakin 30 seconds long. 15 seconds, that's tolerable.

  • Thai boxing and dancers in a Japanese pleasure quarter in old Tokyo? Asian culture FAIL, haha...nice song, though.

  • Thank God for Boy George paving the way and for awesome kick ass talent and good looks ! Love you forever !

  • I know that I miss this kind of awesome talent, he will always be one of my favorites!!! I LOVE THIS SONG!!!

  • MUAY THAI

  • beatiful face boy george

  • pure talent. i love him

  • at 3:20 it s the best part of this song. boy george you are the best even if you are gay. but i don t miss you .

  • The Club hit #5 in Billboard, 4-21-84. Jermaine Stewart sang backup on it. Bless ya, for postin' it. Thanx! RIP, Jermaine.

  • I love when they play this on 1st wave. Thanks Richard Blade. hehe

  • i need a time machine. i shall then make a mold of this mans nose. And his beautiful nose shall be preserved forever.

  • im coming over....my nurse mm mm mmm

  • HAPPY 50th BIRTHDAY Boy George...please tour Los Angeles again!!! Miss You!!!

  • I just saw some of the comments here, and I don't know it started, but what the hell ?

how did racist comments come into play ?

  • @tantorss. oh another over-privileged white bitch i see.

  • The best Culture Club music video!

  • @MrSBrown64 Grew up in La Canada, bit far from you, but my family had a lot of friends in South Bay: Torrance, Redondo, Palos Verdes

  • Orientalism in the 80s... Good song though.

  • Misunderstood Japanese culture items are funny but I like it ^_^

  • This jam peaked #5 Billboard and #8 Black Singles back in 1984!

  • can't stop listening to this :P

  • 文 化 俱 楽 江戶

I HEAR THIS SONG ATHER 30 YEARS

  • Really? a stupid ad before the song? Fuck.

  • This is where they started to lose me. I think this was one of the last songs by them that I liked, it was downhill after that

  • "It's blazing up! Blazing up!"

    I like this song ^^

  • He looks way different without the hat. I like the hat.

  • When the Japanese guitarist stands in front of Roy, Roy doesn't seem shocked or disgusted so I wonder if he's gay, too.

  • They don't show George much in this. I need my beautiful Georgie!

  • 14 haters don't know what good music is.

  • Super ( from Greece )

  • I like the song but the video makes no sense at all.

  • @Nova7400 thats what happend those days, back then, it was all about the music, the video was about visual shock..to keep it in mind

  • @Nova7400 It's very symbolic...

of what, I have no fucking idea LOL

  • I love the Jap lingo at the end!..

  • How insulting, showing a Black Eyed Peas ad while im watching a Culture Club video?

Yeah, lets show a talentless band's advertizement while im watching one of the most talented bands of the 80's

    Makes sense (NOT)

  • @peacesells I know!

And the ad I was forced to watch got stuck.

God bless 'Skip This Ad Now'.

No one wants that crap anyway. If we want ads we'll watch telly.

  • This video use to be played on rotation on BET back in 1984.

  • The wink at 2:32 >w< WOAH!! Sexy!!

  • *screams like a crazy fangirl* Boy is so drop dead sexy!!! >-< And ron's not looking to bad with that hair ;D

  • 80's rule!!!!

  • I love this Good Music

  • im an 80's baby! n proud.. love the clothes, make-up...just not the AIDS explosion

  • I hate this vid 'cause they don't show George enough.

  • hate this fuckin commercial

  • Once I heard "Do you really..?" I knew there was some talent there. Culture Club was one of the most talented groups from an admittedly weak decade for pop music. O'Dowd can sing and the Roy Hay appeared to be the musical brains of the outfit.

  • KROQ was in PASA-DENA, not L.A.

  • @TheCyberTraveler it is now at Venice blvd. and Fairfax, next to kearth101. try the HD CHANNEL which carries the 80's format.

  • I miss the 80's, I feel lucky I was in my 20's and living in las vegas at the time. Had way too much fun going to clubs and dancing till 6am!

  • Boy George has more talent and style in his pinky finger than any pop singer out there today and in the last 5 years .

  • @peacesells Translation: "I'm an older person (or a younger person who thinks they're superior for liking older music). I'm smug/bitter because not everyone is familiar with/shares in my musical preferences. All new musicians are bad, no exceptions "

  • @EaterOfCakesI think you give to much thought to a subject that won't actually change anything. Seriously!!!Who do you think you are ?? Fuck off it's the internet. I don't think you know, but this video has a comment box open TO ALL! To opinion and comment. Let it go... Enjoy the music, don't think about ways to seem smart. You are very smart enough. You don't want to seem like an asshole. Note: This comment is a contradiction :)

  • @peacesells great voice!!!!

  • @peacesells Amen to that!

  • they can say all what they want about boy,but hes a awsome singer and love all his songs and vids

  • I miss him blind. I do ..where are you dear,,,,
