  • @TheSimpleFighters Well im sorry that I havent driven a car yet. Im only 13 XD

  • how did you do that?!

  • why the km display flashes???

  • @dbznol its because of the frequency difference between the LCD display in the dash and the camera's sensor, also could be the vibration of the engine running.

  • you from north east peterlee aint you fella?

  • chavvvvvvvvvvvvvv!!!

  • how can i have something like this on my vectra ?

  • It's like a HUD. Just think of the potential. Driving at night, the car linked to sat nav with the relevant speed limits communicated to it- odometer of a particular hue and saturation so you never unwittingly go over the limit and get caught out.

  • OMG!!! amazing i want that on my car!!!!

  • looks stupid lol

  • very nice man how long did it take you?

  • Kinda reminds me of the LFA. How can i do this?

  • looks nice!!!

  • just like the new ft 86

  • Hello.

Do you have any Shematics for me?

  • beautiful !

  • very creative thumbs up

  • you just put in LEDs that point in different speed ranges on the speedo. when the needle's length will be along one such deirection, the neddle will be of that color. simple as that.

  • shoulda made it so it goes all the way to red by the time it redlines. awesome anyway tho

  • opel is not a car..

  • @D3athM3at it's a machine!

  • @gummel82 no its not..

  • vroom vroom

  • Does this work by using tha tach reference signal voltage to power the red led's?

If so it seems pretty simple :) I'd like to do this with my tach

  • OMFG...Can you do this to a Honda Civic? RICE LIVE ON!

  • i soo want to do this to my zx6r!!!!

  • wow.. Geil.. :)

  • can you teach me how to do that on my corolla 94 ^ ^,, i changed engine and i cant find the right tachometer,, i want it to change its color when it gets to 7.2k rpm,, plsssssssssss.

  • how the fuck can you dislike this you morons

  • how?

  • ola como vc conseguiu fazer isto??? Pois de meu carro, troquei os led's mais nao ficou como o seu. Parabens.

  • thats epic

    sounds sweet too

  • Where did you get the kit or whatever you got to install this? I want to get another gauge cluster from a junkyard & tinker w/ it :]

  • thats pretty fuckin smart

  • i like

  • Hey crazy Leds.. first of all i wanna say : great work ..

do you have an instruction or something how to get that ? =)

  • cool speedo ;) and cool engine sound

  • if i buy the kit will it work on any car?

  • como haces para meterle el led dentro de la aguja de las revoluciones ? podes darme algunas indicacionse ?

  • nice;]

  • Very cool effect... What speed does the speedo change colour at?

  • Nice, I had the same idea back when I changed my 05 civc gauges blue. Wanted a fully programable tach though with the led actually changing color. I lack the brain power though lol. Nice mod though.

  • can you tell how did you do that ?? ist awesome !!

  • My tach or speedometer never run that high. 2,000 rpm at 70mph.

  • WOOWW,

    thats great

  • nice how do you do that i want to do that for my crx

  • HOLY SHIT. I can has one?

  • Whoaaa that's fucking cool, please tell me where i can buy these :O

  • yeah where did you get those please respond please...

  • aye how do u change the lights in the gauge and the needles? is it lighting in the back, and where can i get those?

  • cool

  • dudeee... where did u get does...??? please respond..!!!

  • Genial muss ich auch mal einbauen :-)

  • that is so fucking awesome dude! did you make it with a mos-FET trasistor and a color changing LED?

  • @WillyWheely that's the two only electronic devices you know so all can be made out of it :-D:-D

  • thats prutty sweet

  • are those needles the stock ones ? or you have changed them along with mounting LEDs ?

    awsome job!

  • i love it! how much did the stuff needed cost?

  • very cheap mod to do cost no more than £3 but requires complete speedo strip down and soldering knowledge

  • @CrazyLEDs

    speedo strip down! haha epic

  • @CrazyLEDs Is there a kit to do it?

  • @CrazyLEDs

Looks Awsum Would Really Like To Try This :)

Did U Have 2 Buy Specific Bulbs And Colours U Wanted??

  • @CrazyLEDs Hey man.. id love this in mine.. speedo strip down is no problem at all and have plenty of soldering knowledge.. so anychance of a tutorial vid or link to one??? really like this :D

  • @CrazyLEDs could you upload the circuit board for me?

  • Corsa 2003 would like to install this panel in my car, it is possible how much it is to install or to send for me cep 27211-292 Brazil river of round January-return

  • Corsa 2003 would like to install this panel in my car, it is possible how much it is to install or to send for me cep 27211-292 Brazil river of round January-return

  • @LordPS3 It would be ideal if you had a knowledge on programming and PIC controllers as this is how i did mine.

I pulled apart the speedo cluster to install "tri-colour" leds. (so they can change)

I then built (and got a mate to program) a control unit that hooks up to a wire called the "speed sense wire". This wire contains a digital signal that "pulses" according to how many times your wheels spin. So effectively, this unit is changing the speedo colour according to how fast it "pulses"

  • @LordPS3 I'm sorry i couldn't be more detailed, but youtube has it's letter limits. If you're still curious, i'll check on every so often to answer any questions :)

All in all you're paying for LEDS and components for the controller unit. The rest is knowledge. If you have no idea on what i am (or CrazyLEDs) is talking about, then you can probably find one of these online where it tells you what colour wires you're looking for

  • @LordPS3 Can this be done on a Hyundai Sonata ('03)? If so, how much, what would I need, and where do I buy the parts? Thanks in advance!!!

  • very good its perfekt

  • Wicked good idea. Excellent work!

  • Great effect, planning on doing this with my Dakota

  • Nice Needle effect,

is it done by you as D.I.Y.

    or is it purchased ?

  • how much bro?

  • needle effect is great,,,sound is awesome

  • pretty coool mate

  • OMG, that really cool! I want it too! Please:))) Very nice sound! What's the engine? 2.0 16v?

  • the engine is a 2.5 V6

  • imo when you drive you really don't want your gauges to change colors and all that stuff , a shfting light is less disturbing, not hard to change gears at the right revs tho...

  • coool ! saw it on noble was awsome!

  • brilliant sound!!

    cool needle!!

  • ecu warning light is on

  • No, it doesn't.

  • Prove it.

  • Do you have a reason to call it gay?

Anyway, that's my opinion. I don't need to prove it.

  • how did you do it? on the principle of the voltage divider?

  • vectra's are great cars up to 99' they looked brill then it went down hill. and i hate the new line up from vauxhall. just looks like anything thats new... car designers just dont have it anymore..

  • @GSAutoTech can you please give a detailed explanation of how this is done? are there two separate leds within the needle that connect to a micro-controller that monitors rpm somehow? if the explanation won't fit in a comment i would greatly appreciate a message. thanks.
