@JR08620 I remember GUTS. I was a HUGE fan. Actually took a picute with him in the winners circle. Oliver wendell Holmes series 1984 he swept "Road" in both divisions. A mile track horse only. I remeber when he broke and spotted Tuff choice and "Raod" 15 lengths and finished second to Tuff choice losing by a half length.

The race that never happened and should of was Niahilator vs On the road again.

The driver made a mistake with Mr Dalrae. You can't whip him. Dave Magee found that out in Chicago. When Dave started fanning the whip only he took off like a rocket. He would bring him 5 wide in the stretch just so nobody would get in his way.

Yes, this was made into low interest condos. It is a disgrace that Yonkers is still around and this track is gone.

It had nothing to do with size of the oval. It has basically to do with NYRA and OTB.

They have ruined racing in NY.

Great to hear Jack E Lee's voice again.  I grew up listening to him at night and Fred Cappasella in the daytime. The two greatest race callers ever.
