  • I was driving, had no idea there was even an earthquake.

  • I was standing on a ladder on colonnade road ... Can't believe I held on for the whole ride

  • Lol i was one of the frist ones to view it.

i Sreach it on that day

  • Rare, um no.

  • @daxureisiddiot Blocked for being a total dipstick.

  • DUDE THIS VIDEO IS ON THE NEWS

  • In OTTAWA? Check this out!

    umtbc .com

  • very rare my ass, comes every year

  • Heh, my friend was JUST about to show me his new sound system when it happened and I thought it was that and freaked out. Went outside and there was a middle school grad thing going on down the road and all the kids were screaming. Pretty great time.

  • I was on a roof working, When it happened I thought that I just had a touch of sun stroke and needed a break! Then I noticed my voice-mail box was full of my family asking if I was okay hahahaha

  • It broke my Xbox 360 :(

  • We just had another one earlier today......did anyone feel it? Apparently, it was 4.7

  • @justylex yes i felt it but it was 4.7 in montreal, here it was felt like 1.3

  • I felt that earthquake. I didn't shit myself but it was a fuck-me moment !!!

  • @Redfield27 LOL I beg to differ. I was sitting at home bored like an idiot when all of a sudden. the building started to move. I was like " EARTHQUAAAAKEEE" right away. Deffinently Made my day. Finally something interesting happens in ottawa. >.>

  • When it hit, I was like, "WTF is going on?" A few things fell off some shelves but it was scary since I haven't seen one for a long time.

  • @MONKEYONDALOOSE Blocked for being a douchebag.

  • What camera is that? please reply.

  • @Canadians**** Blocked.

  • LMAO! Thought the place was gonna fall down lmfao. Try a 7.2 or a 6.0 THEN you tell me if you think this quake would make your place fall. Yes i mean 7.2 as in the Baja Cali Easter quake and yes i mean 6.0 as in the Parkfield quake.

  • i was on the bus when this happened so i missed it all. very disappointing!!!

  • @blackorblack ikr, the bus is already like a mini earthquake!

  • omg I remember that

  • I was wondering what the fuck was happening. And I was the only one is my house when it happened. Pretty scary, never had that experience before.

  • that earthquake was nooo big deall i was there i live in ottawa foo :D

  • I saw your video on a news network in my city!

  • i was in an office building because i had to go with my mom because her work computer broke. i was enjoying the earthquake while it lasted while everyone else panicked. the building beside ours had firemen come over because the building started rocking violently back and forth. reminds me of a few years ago with the other earthquake and i played counter strike all through it.

  • @ultradumbass haha ya i slept through that one a while back

  • was sooooooooooo creepy man

  • Could it have been faked? The water is sloshing around, but the picture in the background isn't even vibrating...

  • everyone from my city was freaking out saying the world was going to end then u ask someone from ottawa about it and they say "what earthquake?"

  • Imagine all of those books falling down.

  • @netkongen Douchebag -- the same in any language. Blocked.

  • IN OTAWA ¡¡¡¡ really ???

  • @pookermit Are you an idiot or just pretending to be one? Blocked.

  • @dirtykkkoon If that is all you have to say, please make the world a better place and STFU. Blocked.

  • @NaziZombieKiller1151 Please do everyone a favour and leave the Internet now. Blocked.

  • @olabro19 You are a foul-mouthed douchebag with nothing of value to add here. Blocked.

  • Get used to it. We have a problem with mother nature retalliating for all the harm we've caused...not to mention agencies like HAARP and their weather modification crap and all the other things going on that you certainly won't hear about in the mainstream media.

  • TERREMOTOS....TORMENTAS SOLARES....CAMBIO DE EJE....ADIOS AMIGOUSSSSS

  • @doncastrian You make me sad. Blocked.

  • The real earthquake was in Gatineau they got most of the shock my mom had to evacuate the building she works in in Ottawa it was just small vibrations.

  • dude i live in Ottawa and boy that was a pretty powerful earthquake. like not a disaster but boy bunch of crap fell down in my house

  • yeah i felt it in toronto at 1 41 pm.

  • The guy behind my desk FREAKED. hES LIKE IS THE SCHOOL GONNA FALL DOWN? IS IT STABLE?

  • Cool vid man. My sis lives in Ottawa. Didn't even realize this happened,

  • @D0wnshift Blocked for the good of humanity.

  • @BoogabooMusic Grow up and come back. Until then, avoid saying anything in public. Blocked.

  • @MFDBAE Right back at you, douchebag,. Blocked.

  • @JesusPaid4You "Jesus may love you, but I don't" -- Blocked.

  • What a stupid video. its not like anyone died or something/

  • I felt it

  • wow huge house

  • @doncastrian Lol. I don't think he thought that just because the water was moving. He probably was feeling the ground shake, thats why.

  • My house is kinda rundown so it was worse over here (damn thing wasn't built to code, but sooo cheap : P) yeah, no disaster, but it's our 3rd worst of the century so it's unusual. Flooding? you should see the red river floods (some of Canada's worst are there). BC has nice weather, I should move... but BC= Bring Cash, 'cause living costs are way overblown, even analysts say so (collapse?)

Y'know in vancouver, 52% have english as 2nd lang? country's most diverse city... all Asians!

  • @BoogabooMusic Because half of the people in Canada felt it, while less than one percent of America is experiencing the flooding.

And if you want to bash, please exit and turn right out of sight.

  • LOL Im in Toronto and I didnt feel it :| everyone was like "did you feel the earthquake an hour ago?" Im like " nah " and i didnt think it was that bad.. some people were overreacting and thinks its the end of the world

  • How can you be so confident and keep shooting a video while your house is shaking !?

Sometimes I don't undersand you people. Earthquakes kill hundreds of people in the world. And it's not because of the earthquake its self, but because of the collapse of the structure you are in.

  • @SiberiusX Lol, i think your just overreacting. He shouldn't panicking anyway. Most buildings in big and modern cities are made to withstand larger earthquakes than this.

  • @BoogabooMusic

You are so arrogant, an earthquake in Ontario is so rare. The last time it happened was a looong time ago. That's why it was a big deal. And so what, a flood is a flood, we had a flood here to and nobody knew about it. Know why because FLOODS HAPPEN ALL THE TIME!! Go on the internet and see how often floods earthquakes happen in Canada!!!

    You A** hole American!!!

  • i was in school and felt nothing (i live about an hour southwest of ottawa). i got home and my brother said: "did you feel the earthquak? and i said "nooo..., should i have?"

  • Alberta did not feel this :)

  • there was an earthwuake in palm springs of a 7.0 scale and it happned 7 minutes before my plane landed imagine if i landed when it happned!

  • In Whitby it lasted about 7 seconds... it was about as shaky as the video was, just swayed my desk a little. First quake I've been in and I've lived here for almost 15yrs. They were saying just north of Ottawa was the epicenter and it was a 5.0 on the Richter scale, lasting about 30sec.

  • MY WALLS WERE GOIN CRAZY

  • man i swear people are just getting dumber and dumber, an earthquake hits and the first thing is to record it while inside of a building

  • lol i was completely oblivious to it when people sitting beside me noticed

  • @chimanthegreat You are not great. You are racist. And blocked.

  • i got this in spencerville. my whole room started shaking computer screen door it was horrible i didnt know what was going on.

  • I never felt this tremor, and it was supposed to be throughout Ontario!!

  • i like his accent.

  • Looks real scary.... Oh no, the water might spill over the tank.

  • @staphinfection lol.. i like your sarcasm.

  • That is not an earthquake, that's a simple tremor. Chile did have an earthquake!

  • this is why i think 2012 is a possiblitiy, first haiti, then the chilly earth quake, now tornados and earthquakes in ontario (which is very rare)

    CREEPY.

  • @cmorr7 I'm skeptical about the whole 2012 thing but you did bring up something very intriguing:

in the past year, our world experienced earthquakes at magnitudes of 6.0+ in a wide range from Chile, Cal/Mex, China, Indonesia, Turkey and now Ottawa (not sure of the magnitude) but it's rather odd for it to happen in an area not known to have fault lines. These events have NOT happened geologically in a span of time in the history of our world.

  • @YeeahButt yeeah i know, i dont REALLY think 2012 is going to happen but now you never know.

  • @YeeahButt all of the places u named, even Ottawa, have known fault lines. I don't know where u get your info from, but its bogus

  • it's bp's falt

  • *facepalm*

  • that earth quake was awesome i would know i was there

  • it's was hell funny!!

  • When I moved to Vancouver from Ottawa everyone warned me about earthquakes here on the west coast. Now they're getting them back home? WTF.

  • Has anyone heard of HAARP? look it up.. earthquakes similar to these in "very rare" places will be very common soon.. :(

  • Its the Starting Of 2012 ahahahha jk

  • i saw this video on CTV news

  • I was writing an exam and didn't even feel it. I came out of the school with my friend and my dad apologised for being late to pick us up but explained that he was kept at the lab by an earthquake. My friend and I laughed in his face because we were positive that he was kidding us. Then we turned on the radio, and realised that he wasn't joking.

  • i didn't even feel it in kingston, but some people did. thanks for posting it so i could see it though

  • Same thing happened in Montreal

  • It was much lighter in Montreal though. It woke me up, but then again, I'm a light sleeper.

  • @MastarKilla You are a foul-mouthed douchebag and blocked.

  • i was at school, all the lockers were shaking and this janitor yells "earthquake!" and everybody ran outside, they were all freaking out. it was funny :P

  • yeah i felt that earthquake during an appointement near Montreal and first we tought a truck crashed on the building then it was keeping shaking so we tought it was a fraking strong wind and then we realized it was an earthquake

  • @MastarKilla lol dude i felt the earth quake also dumb ass

  • it hit my city too it's real

  • Some people thought it was the end of the world, goes to show Ontario doesn't get much earthquake action on this scale which wasn't much. LOL

  • @luc59457 LOLYEAH, My mom was driving home, and she thought the car was broken. She told my dad and he went, 'Oh yeah, That was an earthquake.'

  • @Timmehbob I was taking a shower in the basement. I thought it was a bomb at first, but who would nuke Canada before the USA? I still kept taking my shower ;)

  • @luc59457 My dad was making jokes that he thought it was a bomb going off at the G20. xD

  • That's a serious collection of books :) surprised that they didn't take a tumble too.

  • I was on St. Clair and Yonge in T.O. during the earthquake I was sitting in the office of 25 St. Clair and my chair started to move, I thought it was the Subway below the street causing this and then everybody was evacuated from the buildings and I recorded this on my new Sony camera all the way down Yonge St. in Toronto.

  • 2012!!!!!!!!

  • yeah the earthquake might not have been anywere close to as big as what california gets but that people are trying to say is this is something we in ontario dont experiance much so it attracts alot of attention i for one think it was cool

  • i felt it brampton ontario at 1:45 pm

  • Its not actually the 'Ottawa Earthquake' since the 5.5 was in Quebec. Everythwere else was from a 5.0 and lower. Most places were around 2.0

  • I'm in the GTA. We felt the earthquake too. It wasn't scary at all. It was weird and different since we almost never experience them, but come on. Us Canadians need to relax.

  • i live in prince george bc didnt get nuthin

  • fake video

  • @aymash lmao its real there was an earthquake the clip of tank was even used during the news later that day.

  • I live in upstate ny near Albany and I felt a shaking for bout 30seconds and my house was creaking and it made my disco ball on my celing shake and anything hanging! Was weird! Even made my xbox in my hands shake!

  • Yep, earthquakes in central Canada, like snow in California are very very rare . People aren't making a fuss about it because they got scared, it's just that they are "amused" about this unusual occurance

  • @dogg187 lol WHAT? Central Canada gets Earthquakes EVERY DAY! We have something called the 'Canadian Shield' which is much like the continental plate under California. Cali gets many Earthquakes because their plate is unstable. Ours is much more stable and only causes 0.1-1.0 earthquakes usually. But its always moving and causing un-noticable earthquakes.

  • That looks really intense almost as bad as haiti luckily this guy made it through

  • tu est riche toi tu as deux ordinateurs ! ! !

  • only in Canada would someone NOT leave their house and get out a camera to film this "cool" event

  • @ithinkuwin Because there are practically no earthquakes here in Canada, therefore when it happens, we don't actually think it's an earthquake...especially if you've never experienced one before, you will more likely be shocked rather than think..."Oh I should get the fuck out of my house" Also, it depends where you are, the epicentre was north of Ottawa and I live in the Greater Toronto Area and felt it....didn't knock a thing down...therefore I wouldn't have left my house.

  • @stefania825 lol i live in the GTA just saying how fortunate we are to live in this part of the world

  • @stefania825 Actually, Canada has about 5000 earthquakes a year.

  • @1Freeman yes...unnoticeable ones...therefore it's as if we don't know lol I'm talking about earthquakes that we actually feel and that actually have some sort of impact on our day.

  • @stefania825 Canada gets un-noticable earthquakes everyday. The Canadian Shield causes them all the time.

  • @coley1555 yes...unnoticeable ones...therefore it's as if we don't know lol I'm talking about earthquakes that we actually feel and that actually have some sort of impact on our day.

  • @ithinkuwin your a dumb ass

  • Felt it in Trenton Ontario. Nothing major though.

  • montreal got that wednesday :P

  • this earthquake was so soft!

  • You thought the whole places was gonna fall, just because your water was shaking in your tank...grow a set bud.

  • @jov1c1c He took this video after the earthquake.

I was at school , and trust me I to thought the whole school was gonna colapse.

  • @HannahDahPanda You don't think I live in Ontario? lol

I'm not saying where but I felt it to.

Canada is complaining about a earthquake that killed no one, while Haiti's earthquake killed millions?

    How soft is Canada.

  • @jov1c1c

    No one is complaining genius.

People are surprised and amazed because WHEN was the last time we had an earthquake that actually shook the earth?

    Stop being ignorant.

  • @jov1c1c he filmed it during the quake...not the start so you didnt see the whole thing and the roof on a mall collapsed

  • @jov1c1c No one is complaing you twat, and the only one comparing this to Haiti is you. sit diwn, shut up.

  • ...one of my chairs fell :'( I had to get up for a second to put it back up. I'll never get that six seconds back.

  • felt it here in newmarket

  • i did not feel the earth quake

  • Ugh cry about it... Move to California then let me know how that felt....

  • i felt in in montreal

  • This was the first earthquake I'd ever been in. The water in my fishtank was sloshing like that, too! Lol.

  • Tha- that happened 2 days ago? on my birthday? oh my god... was anyone hurt?

  • @pivotmasterdx56 no one was hurt, except for some shattered glass in Ottawa

  • Nobody gets hurt in an earthquake this unnoticeable. Especially not Canadians.

I woke up and felt like I was rocking back and forth. My mom came into my room 5 minutes later, and I asked her if there was an earthquake just now. She said ''Don't be ridiculous''. Later on that evening, we found out it was true. I was the only one who felt it in my house.

  • Cool Vid! Congrats on having the camera out when it was happening! The aquariums are definitely an awesome visual indicator of how things were actually moving. :^)

  • i felt the earthquake 4 like 15 seconds

  • Lol, I felt it too but I didnt know it was an earthquake until a few minutes later. It lasted like a few secs from where Im from

  • @CanucksMakeMePuke6 You are pathetic, rude, and blocked.

  • Really...it was only a 5.0??? I dont understand what this big fuss about it. Who really cares that this is a rare occurance in Canada. It's freaking Canada for Christ's Sake!! Crazy Nades. BTW there was an earthquake here where i live lastnight...we have like 15 of these a day. Man up!

  • @romero1981 If it's rare for Canada, and you experience one...why the fuck wouldn't you be freaked out? Dumb ass.

  • @romero1981 Lol douche bag, it's not a competition to see who has more earthquakes. Most people here have never experienced one, so they are sharing their experiences. Go kick a baby or something.

  • Interviewer: Was this a scary experience for you?

Interviewee: Well... not really I was just sitin' it my house and ya... it um just started shakin' and then it stoped.

    interviewer: Oh my goodness!

  • K im in T.O. and i m preety sure im one of the few ppl tht didnt feel the earthquake from where I live. . . At first i thought it was like a practical joke. . . . but then again, shit just got real.

  • First experience of an earthquake in Ontario. So it is EXCITING for US!

  • @Annaliciousxo there was one in 2006

  • @NaziZombieKiller1151 Holy crap youre so good ! You got 7,9 earthquake and not us ! Your so lucky! Seriously who fucking care about what happening to you , get out of here.

  • I was in the Rideau centre when it happened O.o

  • @sectionrowseat This is absolutely fascinating.

  • @sectionrowseat hahaha me too!

  • This is actually very common in Ottawa, we get 3-4 earthquakes of 3-6 on richter. Largest ever was a 6.4 in 1732, meaning that this earthquake was 10x weaker.

  • lol i was being slandered during a tribunal when this happened....lol.
