@Firebrdsuite Okay, time for a history lesson. Toei was the one who created the first Sentai series, and every Japanese Sentai series after that. Disney had nothing to do with it and don't have any ownership of any rights to the originals. Haim Saban's company created Power Rangers and was in control of it up until the midpoint of Wild Force, so Disney doesn't own those first seasons. Disney produced Ninja Storm through RPM and then Saban bought the rights back and started Samurai

I hope not! Some of these suits are definitely of a lower quality and detail than the ones used in the original tv shows and I'm going to assume they will use show-quality costumes instead. Just looking at OhRed, the gold chest pattern has been reduced to a sewn-on patch and he doesn't have the rigid forearm braces.

Interesting.... Japan has Frozen the whole line of power rangers, and super sentai, and they will thaw them out when an emergency monster attack occurs. Then they film it, and put it on television, so what I thought was a scripted kids show is actually a documentary of a japanese super soldier project!? Oh crap....I found out Japan's inner workings. Now I'm gonna get frozen in a storage room with the rangers 0_0... DO I GET A COOL COSTUME TOO!? :D

The mecha were actually bigger? I always thought the mecha were toy-sized. What really intrigues me is the size of the human-shaped mecha. I don't know the Sentai name but I always thought the individual Shogun zords from MMPR3 were played by suit actors but they look too small to be costumes.

@alohakakahiaka They did once... the episode in English was called Forever Red, and it used the Japanese footage from the Anniversary of Super Sentai which used all the red rangers from across the series.

I'm pretty sure no japanese footage was used in that epsiode. It was all american. Forever Red had 10 red rangers whereas the Super Sentai anniversary had 25.

Because MMPR wasn't the first in Japan. Those three suits shown at the end of the video were the first. The Japanese series that gave us MMPR, Zyuranger, was just another show, and one that I heard wasn't as well received as the ones immediately before or after (Jetman and Dairanger, respectively). At least the Red Zyu suit has a place in some museum. I dare you to find something even close to what's in the video in the US for the Power Rangers, especially Disney.
