important episode for its facts and insight into the deployment of the melmackian orbital guard prior planet destruction. i think alf would have probably wanted to have joined or at least seen skip and rhonda or at any rate have gotten parts for his spaceship: what's the life expectancy of a melmackian? also, perhaps skip, rhonda and alf could find a way to repopulate the species.

Alf is a puppet. There's also an Alf Suit that actor Michu Meszaros wears. He happens to be 2 foot, 9 inches tall. Paul Fusco operated the Alf Puppet (The people is basically Alf, as it's the most used.) When you can't see a fully body shot of Alf, it's the puppet. When you see his whole body, it's Michu in the suit.
