@MZMStudios Actually depends on your state. Out here you can keep a rifle in your home without a license.  I would imagine that the steps are very similar though.

@Ritchie720 Oh, I can keep a rifle, shotgun, pistol, anything in my home without registration in Georgia (I think)... I meant for carrying-around purposes... lol

@MZMStudios MZM I hope you don't plan on trying to conceal a rifle. lol. To answer your question though I think once you get your cpl all you have to do is purchase your rifle and make sure a receipt goes to your local police station. I mean if you were into hunting you would have to take it out your home of course so there has to be a procedure for carrying a rifle outside your home.
