@BSBINC1 Not as many people tried out for the Line back then, so we were forced to get by with what we had.

@BSBINC1 No, prior to 2004 we mostly used Vic Firth. When Dr. Baker arrived in fall of '04, so did our endorsement with Innovative Percussion.

@BSBINC1 I'll also say that we did NOT put people on the line just to fill spots...We took the people that had similar skills and went with those as opposed to having 3 or 4 more snares that couldn't even come close to the 5 guys you see there. But as FleugenFlagen said there were fewer people that auditioned back then as well.
