@MDIVISIONRULES & likelearning: I followed pagajuju's lead, and searched Google for "remontage manette sram x4". The second result was from a French bike forum called 26in. On page two of that thread are two photos that show where the curly bit goes (posted by riderspurem 31/12/10 - 13:55). Click each one to go to the image hosting site, where you can click it again to zoom in.
@radharmonics THANK YOU SO MUCH! I found the two pictures on that french website that show where that curly piece goes. Also I found out that you don't even need that curly piece for the trigger shifter to work, works just fine without it. :)

@1325194 or anyone else with an 8-speed shifter: I found it was mostly a mirror image of the 3-speed in this video.
