You do resemble Travolta. Being a guy, I am not really qualified, to say, but you are a shade better looking. I bet he's not so good at Kreg either!
Kreg is the best tool I bought in a long time, for run of the mill joinery. I still love my joints and stuff, but when the wife asks for something in a hurry I have my Kreg! Heck! What does it matter? She don't know the difference between a secret-mitred dovetail and a pocket-screw anyhow!
@MiCompre LOL thats funny. I do the same with my wife. Actually I try to pretend I don't hear her, but that doesn't work anymore. Now I just tell her all my batteries are dead.
Nice video. Have a look at my vid's to see a way to supertune your kreg. Look under Foot lever video's. This is a simple jig that allows you to open and close the clamp with your foot. NO MORE REACHING AROUND BACK IF YOU GOT AN OLDER JIG. ALOT FASTER TOO! Hope you enjoy!
what i can say, is that my drilling was not as smooth and easy as what is shown in this video. i must have gotten a duff drill bit because im getting smoke from drilling holes and i have to put alot of downward pressure on the drill in order to make the holes.
i think my drill bit may be blunt.
which is amazing as all i use is cheap whitedeal softwood from b+q and ive so far used about 130 screws max. time to get on to kreg methinks about an exchange.
It sounds to me like you received a faulty bit. Your drill strokes should be nice and easy. If you think this is the case, contact our customer service department. They will help you quickly!
@TheLumberjackass I found there tips were short as well. It makes a big difference. I use craftex cause of the longer tip and because they are half the money allmost. I usally get 2-3 thousand per bit. Have a look at my vid's, I build cabinets for a living. Have a look if you want a way to supertune your jig. Imagine opening and closing the clamp with your foot!
@KregToolCompany Whats up with the shorter tips on your bits? The tips seem to be allmost a 1/8 shorter than other bits I buy. Makes a big difference I find.

Not sure where you are talking about. After you insert the plugs, everything is pretty much concealed. There are small gaps, but nothing a little putty can not solve. We had to sand the plugs down to make them flush.
All of our plugs are designed to work with a variety of stock sizes (from 1/2" thick to 1-1/2" thick) so when working with 3/4" material for example you'll have a good amount of the plug sticking out when you're done'. Simply sand or rout this material flush for a finished look!
Go to my profile and search for 'rout plugs flush' you'll find a video which will help.
Good basic overview of the tool but noticed a small error in the setup procedure for the bit. The SHOULDER of the bit should be aligned to the wood thickness mark on the jig, not the tip of the bit. This is the setup procedure for a normal operation, according to my manual.
Good catch, Skippy. This is true. The SHOULDER of the bit should be where you're taking your measurements from. The end result will be a pocket-hole which is drilled a bit deeper and screws that are getting dramatically more grabbing power...
pptgtool, good video... enjoyed your analysis. Thanks for posting.
Thank you, great video. I need one for a bookcase I'm going to build

hi kreg tool company.
this is davey shantalla.
i have recently made a video review of some of your products.
my findings are this :
your jigs, screws and clamps are all pretty good tool's and worth the money you charge for them.
except for the most important part of the puzzle.
the drill bit.
i have tested 3 drill bits so far and all of them dull and lose their cutting power after drilling just 100 - 150 holes.
you can tell that the bit is cheap metal.
just being honest :)

after you've drill the pockets and set the screws, how do you make the giant gaps flush after you've inserted the plugs?
