Ok, they´re very good but they weren´t even close to the gold this time. The free dance was the best part of the competition for them but in CD and the OD were clearly beat by the french and the russians.
Denkova and Staviski won two world titles, the same as Navka and Kostomarov. So stop talking about the "mafias", because they don't exist. If the judges had wanted, they could have made Belbin/Agosto or Lauzon/Dubreul World champions in 2006 and 2007. So they are being unfair when win who you don't like. But the truth is that the French won the Euros and the Bulgarians the Worlds (twice), now all the antirussians can be happy.
Actually, you are correct about the french couple. I don't really think they "belong" to the mafia team.. Anyway, I think Denkova/Staviski deserved the Europian title because ONE perfect performence (like the one of the french guys)or the one less perfect (like D/St.) couldn't be a criteria for the whole capacity of somebody.
What you say about ice skating being a mafia is true, and it has been like this for years, but it is just not fair to include France among the overrated countries. Canadia, the US and Russia are the obvious ones. French skaters have often been wronged in the past, although not as much as smaller countries. Here the French, at least technically, were the best, and have been for at least one or two years according to many specialists, without ever getting the marks they deserved until now.
Very correct observation! I think on the Worlds in Japan Albena and Maxim won't even get a medal. First place: Canada (because it is there last season) or Russia (this will be ABSURD but I wouldn't wonder), second: Russia (or Canada if the Russians are first) and third: France. This will be very disapointing for the Bulgarians but they know, of course, what is going on, so however there marks they will take there Destiny with pride.
True artists. The rest is a mockery and corruption. Figure skating is more or less a MAFIA thing nowdays, if u aren't from Russia, France, USA or Canada u have little chance no matter how good u are.
I agree with that, they should have won the free dance and end up at least 2nd. The French were probably better on the whole, but the Russians were completely out of place. But then, judges have always been corrupt and that's not new (it is even a miracle that a Bulgarian team could ever be World champion)
The French and the Russian judge made a deal, and threw their teams a medal-the Russians who weren't even in top 10 while Albena&Maxim were fighting for gold...Common, such a laughable setup... Who are they kidding? We all know the Bulgarians are the REAL champions.
Denkova and Syaviski are great but this time they just weren´t at their best. They lost their options in the OD and the French and the Russians were free of mistakes in the three dances.
this dance was in the opinion of all the audience, of all commentators and journalist THE BEST of the evening. Only the judges placed Denkova/Staviski third. What an obvious corruption!!!
what is the name of this song? I can't find it as ''Seven Deadly Sins''..
