Man, you've got the 70's jazz bass funk tones down. This tone varies greatly from that of the "Über Slap Fever" vid. I know you are using, at least it says here, an EBS Microbass II. How did you get such a radically different tone here? Did it involve the tone/volume knobs on the Squier VMJB? Thanks!!! Go to LA now! There is no need to go to college unless you want to. I know, I went to UNC-Chapel Hill and was Phi Beta Kappa, chemistry & German. No use whatsoever, but I do not regret it.
yeah.. i think what stands the most out of the bass itself is the maple body, thats why its got that kickin mid range. This video was recorded before i change the original pickups.
I think i only use the bridge pickups, of course not both since it would have the p bass sound too which got more thump and bass.
I'd love to go to LA, but i love australia ;) going for bachelor of music next year at uni. Good on you mate :)
What pick ups are on for this song?

@ChasePlaysBass1 Just the stock duncan designed pickups. The EBS preamp makes it sound good.

Hey man.
Wow your bass sounds good (funky playing too!). How much did those sadowsky pups + preamp cost to get in the bass?
buhl1108 2 years ago
In this video the bass hasnt changed with the sads pickups yet. also this video has the ebs microbass preamp. check out the most recent videos.

Hey bro, can the Micro II work as overdrive? If so. i'm gonna buy one.Tks
copbass 2 years ago
It has the drive feature, but if you want an overdrive, i guess go for the EBS VALVETUBE. that thing has real tube in it. mine has tube simulator.
