Pat Foley is just FANTASTIC. Who can forget this clip playing during the "Here Come the Hawks" intro to Hawk broadcasts after 1996? "A lead for Daze, cutting in for Krivo, shooting ..."
I was at this game. Absolute bedlam when Krivo scored that goal. There were a few Avs fans who we kept meeting up with out smoking during intermission; they were really cool. By far the funnest game I ever attended.
Daze most certainly could NOT hold his own. He was huge, but one of the softest players in Hawk history. Don't get me wrong, I liked the guy a lot and thought many Hawk fans were unfair in expecting him to be a physical force when he obviously didn't have it in him. He was however one of the most freakishly talented (for his size) players I've ever seen. Too bad his bum back ended his career early.
I was at this game as well in the 200 level....I'll never forget that goal,,,the place was a buzz the whole night as the hawks came from behing to put it into OT. Then just a few seconds into OT, Krivo breaks in after the Avalanch gave up the puck and just flipped it over Roy's shoulder. The place went literally "nuts".....no other game since has had that kind of volume in the new place, only at the "old Barn"....and Pat Foley does rule,,,,Hopefully Rocky will bring him back?
I agree,,,this was an awesome series....I think the next game went double or triple OT as well, and lasted until like 1 AM? Only the hawks lost that one and eventually the series....It certianly was a stanley cup caliber team

I remember this game very well.
I'm not a Blackhawks fan, but I was a huge fan of them in the playoffs since my team (Leafs) was out.

That was a terrific series that I'll never
forget. The Hawks were this scrappy little
team that was supposed to get crunched and they battled the AVS until the bitter end. Blachawk hockey at its best.

I was actually at this game in the 300 level.. OMG that was one of the loudest momments I've ever experienced at a Hawks game... it was awsome!!!
