  • To see my favorite

  • Laurence Owen was my idol in 1961. When I heard about the crash and the loss I was supposed to take an important test in high school. I was too upset to take the test. I told Sister Rose Carmel my idol had died in that plane crash and she said I could take the test on another day. I never forgot her kindness to me when I was a junior at Immaculate Heart High School in Los Angeles. RIP Laurence Owen

  • God bless them all.

  • When i showed my Grandmother this she started crying. She would have been on that plane but she was pregnant with my uncle. She pointed out some of her friends that died /:

  • What a terrible tragedy, 50 years today I believe....

  • @BikeMeAustin True, it was 50 years ago.... RIP

  • Almost 50 years. Very sad thing. RIP to all of them.

  • I thank you, also, for posting. They were all great champions. I was just a child when this occurred, but I recall it being discussed. All these extremely talent athletes very much deserve to have their memories preserved, their names spoken, their images displayed, their spirits honored.

  • Thank you for posting this clip... it always brings a tear to my eyes
