  • can you power up the battery as quick as you can fill up on gas? arent li-ion battery highly toxic? even if you're not using gas to drive.. electicity is majorly produced by a highly polution makin process (coal, gaz, oil, nuke)..

the best mode of transportation his horses or human powered. only polution horses make is methane.. and well.. come out the manure.. which is a good fertiliser.

  • DO NOT expect a perfect engine in the first version!! Take Henry Fords first engine - put it in a car today - and you'll see my point!!!

Also which uses more oil - 10,000,000 cars or using the existing electricity necessary for a house - even if the house is coal, gas, oil or nuke powered??????

You are trying to solve a LONG TERM problem with SHORT TERM fixes - and that NEVER works!! Should they simply not have ANY electric cars - until they are made PERFECT??

If so - enjoy your WALK!!!

  • First, I think this is one of the coolest most innovative cars to come out in a long time.

But the narrator doesn't know shit. The car is not "digital" or "inspired by pc technology" The battery does not account for half or even nearly half of the weight of the car. And you couldn't "toss the ingine into a backpack" and carry it around. And this car is not about saving money. What a tool.

  • watch out for the door, moron!

  • The guy make a big deal about the price tag. He forgets he is driving a sports car. Only a few supercars in the world can reach 0-60 in under 4sec and they cost triple that amount. It has the power of a ferrari with economy better than a prius!

  • Its cheaper than ten years worth of gassoline. I pay +8000 US dollars a year for gas for my lil civic. Too bad they haven't put a magnetic generator in it that will enable it to go without being charged ever. I need to speek with Tesla Motors.

  • I call bullshit. $8000 a year in gas for a Honda Civic, that would be $153/week. That amounts to around 1,500 miles of driving per week. Do you commute 300 miles per day?

This car is not made to save money. It was created for the sake of innovation, to earn a place in the market. Then they can use that money to build cheaper electric cars in the future.

  • it's even more beautifull then the lotus elise..

  • One would hope so, given that the body was designed by Lotus. :)

  • They could make the battery lighter.

  • its now $ 92.000 ?? thats only € 67.567. Damn cheap.. you should be stupid if you didnt buy it!!.. thats not expensive!

I know alot people in europe who buy old diesel cars in america.. because the cars in america are CHEAP.

  • $92k is a lot of money for a car. domestic cars only range from $15k to $60k

  • You pay more for british engineering. It has been co-developed by Lotus Motors.

  • Cheaper and more exclusive than a Ferrari. It has a 300 mile range, roughly the same as a tankful of unleaded in a 2 liter Ford Focus. Very few Ferrari's can match that 0 - 60 time.

  • Only the enzo has a faster 0-60 time.

  • It is cheap.

See the Fuel prices and see the Energy prices.

Drive that car one year and its more than cheap.

BUT now its the moment to revolutionize the Energy sources. Otherwise the electric car is the same thing as a fuel car ( aspect of emissions)

  • luv the car, but of course few people can afford it at $92,000. This is a custom car. A mass produced economy priced E car would revolutionize the auto industry. Good luck I want one.
