  • Surely, DreamCast version was goob. But the PSX version was much better, it was release after DC version and dinamics fisics were 'fixed'. Really. XD

  • Liked this game (played it on the Dreamcast) but the retarded collision physics got too frustrating after a while. Oops, someone just tapped your bumper! Now enjoy your car flipping all over the road as you lose 1st place

  • Dreamcast version graphics is surely more detailed, but the Ps1 counterpart looks somehow sharper and more contrasted.

    I love them both,anyway..... :)

  • This game was nothing but a shadow of the original Dreamcast port, which was MUCH better up to the point that the DC port looked visually like a PS2 title.

  • Vehicle Dynamics done in Matlab & Simulink by Loughborough University :D

  • Finally i get the name of one of the psx classic which i want xD

  • The tires must be made of soap, no grip at all.

  • I play this game just for the collisions ;p

  • Good game, but the dreamcast version, looks much much nicer.

  • Epic. REMAKE FOR XBOX360 OR PS2!

  • I never knew Vanishing Point in the PS1/PSX was ever Released! (I thought the Developers of this game was on a Hiatus for Creating this title? anticipating for this just as Driver 2 does)

  • this was my favourite ps1 game of all time

  • Looks like Gran Turismo, has crash effects like Crusin' USA, and it's slippery like Vanishing Point! xD

  • damn this game reminds me of nfs 3 hot pursuit! gotta play this.

  • i got this in Australia i must be one of the only ones to have it in AUS :D

  • where can i download this?

  • Man if this was released it may have become more successful than GT.

  • Got too have that game for the dream cast

  • how do i unlock the tracks you have been through?

  • I finished this game on my PS1 @ a New Years Eve. It was morning, everyone was sleeping but this lil' game kept me awake. It was hard, really hard, I must say but I did it. A very captid the graphvating game, lots of cars anics were great, for a PS1 game. Cheers from Romania

  • This game was release only the USA and Europe, so you can't say the game is unofficial.

  • Looks very good for ps1. It reminds me of the first ps2 games that came out and had that fake reflection stuff. It has those textures that warp over an object giving off a fake reflection effect, Good trick, I like it.

  • Wow, this game looks really good for a PS1/PSX Game. Why was is canceled?

  • @595moore This game is not cancelled, I have the US version of it for the PSX... the game is on the Dreamcast too.

It's an excellent game, but the cars are VERY difficult to drive, you tend to drift from one side of the road to the other...

Anyways, the game has a great selection of cars, nice graphics and excellent music :)

  • @Pliskin1990 Its not cancelled? Its out? Wow. How come i never heard of it? Did it have a limited release? I have to check out the local game stores, if not on-line to find this game.

  • @595moore HI Moore!... The game is a FULL release, I'm from Argentina and I got this game from (Aprox.) the year 2001... it's a nice game BTW... (Search on Wikipedia "Vanishing Point" by ClockWork Games)

  • @Pliskin1990 Just wikied it. Man, i missed out. Looks like i better start searching. Thanks for the info!

  • Wow this game looks pretty slick for the PS1.

  • The crashing physics actually look great.. no blocky crashes or anything..

  • Damn would really love to have this game and the soundtrack kicks major ass!!!!!!

  • Man, whoever is playing the game in this video seriously sucks at it.

  • No shit It looks as though they have never played a racing game altogether!

  • The Intro is so great!

The first time i was :O

  • wow, looks amazing for a PS1 game

  • awesome intro... suprised this was ps1.. im impressed

  • nostalgic pixels.. darn with a proper antialaising this would look pretty good

  • It has pretty good physics for a ps1 title

  • no popup scenery

  • drifting looks very nice... it almost resembles something that would be on Sega Saturn.

  • @GamingPalooza actually VP was released on Dreamcast :)

  • Man, very impressive for PS1. I remember being somewhat hyped for this game. I miss the PS1 era.

  • WAS CANCELLED
