Not too mention Dekar was underpowered compared to other characters, because obviously no utility power wasn't enough, they had to nerf his physical strength too. Oddly enough the only good use I found for Dekar was casting certain magic faster then other characters. Otherwise the combat system works and the music is great.

Dekar owns precisely because his magic is better than other characters. Whereas Maxim or Guy spend a half a year pointing their weapon forward before using a fire spell, Dekar actually co-opts Maxim's charge+X special and his fire spells become a several hit physical combo + the magic itself. Or with Holy spells he does a backflip out of the way and drops the magic in front of him.

If Maxim didn't move so fast with crossdash, Dekar would be my favorite character.

my god so nostalgic! I love it!  The Lufia RPGs are some of my favorite RPGs to date (next to the breath of fires). Yes I'd say I loved Lufia more than FF13, hey I played it when I was like, 12, everything is better when you're young lol.

- toooo short

- the weapons were to unbalanced

- game was pretty easy, never lost in the 1st run (ok by Gades some times :))

- the ancient cave sucked, because I was on LVL 99 in the 60th floor already

- gem-board was to heavy, Maxim was with Level 1 unbeatable in a new game^^ (when the blue gems were transferred)

- almost no special attacks

- no german language :(

Well this is one reason for me to buy a DS now. I wonder how the design looks for Dekar, sense he was my favorite. Such a shame you didn't have him in your party for too long, but that what made a perfect setup, for a perfect ending .

@doublenono88 Dekar now has pink hair, a white trenchcoat, and a laser blade that comes out of his armguard for his special attack. In other words, he's every bit as ridiculous as he was meant to be, but updated for modern times now that spiky purple hair is considered normal.

Also, look for a particularly awesome new plot development during the montage after Maxim's wedding.

The first time I played this game, 13 years ago, got addicted. It just seemed too perfect to me, the turn based battle was thrilling at the time. Now we'll have the chance to face all these memorable villains once more, but in full 3d models and an action packed game. Looking forward to it!
