It was well worth the trip out west. I thoroughly enjoy it. It will be even better when they have the elevated railfan deck built, so you can be more up to the level with BNSF, and look down upon UP trains.
UP averages 80-90 trains per day and BNSF averages 50-60 trains per day, so the grand total is somewhere near 130-140 trains per day. Impressive location!

I recently moved to Grand Island, and those trains are really something! Moving all the time, it comes a time that you dont hear them anymore...

Apparently they are building an elevated railfan deck. It will be at level with BNSF. You will look down on UP trains. It sounds nice.
