I actually just did a 102% run of this myself the other day, brought back some excellent memories, and you inspired me to, lol. Turns out, you don't need the giant DK coins for 102% completion, but if you're bothering to get the KONG letters, may as well get those too, lol.

So I heard. I must say I find that really strange. It's like unique jumps not counting towards 100% in GTA San Andreas. I can understand the KONG letters not counting, though.

That is strange - I guess they still count towards the stage you see at the end though, and Cranky's manner towards you.

The one that's left will be the one you start with. Its not really anything to worry about as usually if you hit a checkpoint or start a new level a DK Barrel usually sits right around the corner.

Ah, the swamp world. For some reason I always found this world to be very unremarkable, but strangely soothing. Must be the swamp levels. I think I remember the Lost World level in this one to be really hard, but it's been a while..
