@TheBiggFizz rofl, the original xbox STILL had MUCH more to give. MUCH more. The graphics, when PUSHED were on/ exceeded that of the nintendo wii (which began the next gen race) and the ps2 was no where. The problem was microsoft shat their pants when they show the huge interest for the wii and just gave up on pushing the xbox and launched the 360 prematurely. take a look at doom 3, that game looks STUNNING for a sixth gen.

@RedTyrant2 If you still have your original xbox, just flash the HDD then pay about 20$ for x50 Verbatim DVD-/+R, then download all the good original xbox games (this included) and have fun. ALL of them are out of print and the only ones you can buy are used, which a LOT of them, in terrible condition makes gaming hard. New disc + fresh iso = like new. ive download, so far, ALL the full games of the demos i used to have and games I wanted to have and my GOD I nostalgia tripped.

@ksioamaral89 Not even, Resident Evil 4 was'nt even horror, this is straight up visceral fear in a tiny cramped hunk of junk floating across the sea the shit in this game would make your crap your pants so hard that the impact would burn through your chair and hit China best part? I haven't even pressed play yet.

@WideEyedGuy RE4 did have several horror elements during the middle of it (el gigante fights were terrifying... fleeing from a chainsaw plagas in the rain still makes me shake.) it's problem was in the setting, the enviroment was wide open, the story was really dumb, they made enemeies walk out in large numbers like a shooting gallery, and they gave you too much ammo. Had it been set in Raccoon with limited ammo and a focus on puzzles it would have worked perfectly.

The story was pretty decent, there were some resoundingly awing parts in the scenes

A wide open enviorment can be scary, just make it hard to see put plenty of lethal hazards/trigger enemies

Hordes of enemies can be terrying if your low on ammo and your pinned down

Ammo is VERY scarce on Pro mode

Not all RE games set in Raccoon City are instantly horror certified, take Re Operation Raccon City for example.

@WideEyedGuy My problem with the hoards of enemies is that in most cases you had to kill them to get an item to progress. It created situations where not having ammo ment you could not finish the game (and made having ammo mean it's just a shooter).

@S0ryiu *meant* Not necessarily there are very difficult, but achievable tactics on Pro mode where you simply kite with the knife (taking advantage of your slightly longer range) and make efficient use of your surroundings ex: red barrels, ladders, corners etc. Besides the point of a horror game is to force you to confront your opponent in what surely must be the most S.O.L. situation in history narrowing down your options to harrowing encounters that push your instinct/judgement/sanity.

If i had to compare this to something, it would be DeadSpace. Its more of a corridor kind of game. Resident Evil now feels like a straight up shooter. I am hunting for old gen games. This one would be really nice to have
