Ok watched both videos and didn't let the audience or costume prejudice me (mask probably helps more than hurts with some crowds) Imo it wasn't even close. Hannibal won, the musicianship and feel was better overall. And I wasn't a fan of the Tyson sample, the whole thing has been done before. Even another producer in this contest.

im gonna enter this battle this year if its in my region. seems they only went to the southeast for the finals. as for nacedmus, that track is radio READY but not beat battle ready. hannibals track will never touch radio, and in my opinion wasnt as hot as people are makin it out to be at all. id give it a 7 out of 10 myself but i think the sample SURPRISED people so much they completely ignore the fact that the beat itself is very basic.

It is very easy to feel a cetain kind of way about Hannibal's style (especially when you see the combination of costume, stage show, & musicianship) but he was, hand's down the most entertaining musician there.

The battle was dope as a whole but I was in the VIP area & when he played that Mike Tyson joint DJ Toomp, Focus, Tha Business, & just Blaze was all wildin' out. Even ALLHIPHOP called it the beat of the night.

i know that. but notice those producers are samplers. like i said, people were goin crazy over WHAT was used. not how its used. is he entertaining? sure, everyone loves a good laugh. but that beat is very BASIC. did he sample somethin out the box? YUP! WAAAAAAAY out the box which is sick. but...the beat itself is still basic..

the argument i use to EVERYONE saying "hes different/ unique" to support why they like someone, is different DOES NOT = good. different is a step in another direction but it doesnt mean the right one. i understand people flipped cuz he used a way out the box sample and thats cool. points for originality. but u tellin me originality outweighs the actual product? if that beat WASNT sampled, if he was the one playing everything, im sure it wouldnt have been so highly acclaimed. no hate, just facts
