  • IMHO it's not how short or long the story is but how good they tell it; that's what makes a series good or bad. Take "Lost" for example - they also had a shorter season this year thanks to writers' strike. But they managed to make season 4 one of the best if not the best season of Lost. In just 14 (or was it 13) episodes, they made the series interesting again. If Lost can do it, Heroes can do it too (and I want to believe they can). So I watch with anticipation volume 4 of Heroes.

  • You might want to coinsider waiting for dvd to watch it. I've noticed with heroes that watching a whole volume in a few days/couple of weeks is an awesome way of doing it. Heroes didn't have it's biggest boom until DVD sales hit, then everyone was crazy about it.

  • Lastly, bar your lack of understanding (Season 2 was supposed to be twice as long, and got cut off by writers strike to what it was, and season 3 is only half over, things like the world exploding, and hero becoming supercharged haven't happened)(not to mention heros v2+v3 = as long as v1, and combined that's amazing for one season. Heroes is the most watched SCI FI show on TV, and with DVD sales alone, they've already announced seasons 4 and 5 as a go (meaning volumes 4,5,6,7, and 8) true story

  • There are new heroes, lots of them. We can't have too many or the show couldn't keep track of them properly, like any show/comic.Before it was implyed ando killed hero in the future, now we know he supercharged him. Now think about this for a second. In comic book terms, Ando makes people Ultimate. Ulitmate speedster - faster than light/timetravler. Ultimate telepath - hears millions of thoughts at once. Ultimate master of time and space - God? Seriously, think about it... what would that do???

  • I agree with you completely on Ando. That's why I said at the end of my review that the last episode of Volume 3 was good. It was one of the better episodes of the "Villains" story arc. Unfortunately his power came at the end of this arc; by that time "villains" was almost over. It would've been great if Ando had his powers a little earlier so we can see something more about him.I'm gonna miss Hiro's time travelling but I think its appropriate to give time travelling a break.

  • Time traveling isn't nessisarily on hold, they've heavily suggested that arthur put the time traveling ability in someone else. Also, all it'd take is a shot from the formula (which is still being worked on) to give hero his powers back, something obtainable by the speedster and ando. (from the past or future.)

  • I agree with you on that seeing that in the last episode Peter got his flying ability back and we have yet to see if he has any other powers. Plus from what we've seen in the previous seasons, there could be more than 1 person who can time travel. However, I feel that time travel has been overused in Heroes with every season having 4 or 5 episodes about it. Maybe they can make story arcs that doesn't have people going through time to save the world.

  • Yeah, I do see your point. But it's kind of an external subplot of the show. There are 5-6 different things going on at once, and if time travel wasn't involved, there would be 4-5, and I don't think it would be quite as interesting. It would just be up to dreamers and painters to save the world, and some confused heroes. People going to the future to get an idea of what's wrong, or people coming back to give them something to do... is almost a nessesary story arc in heroes as they've made it.

  • Sylar is a monster. Not a badass dude. He needs to understand things. He has a hunger, he longs to understand emotions. He asked questions in the beginning like "how do you make love stay" then he had a romantic involvment with El, and found out. He f*cks with peoples minds (like Jason, Freddy, or any other monsters) so he can truely understand them, prove that they're all monsters like him, but the point is they're not, but he shows them they can be if they don't watch out. That is his purpose.

  • (Spoiler)! I also found it completely illogical how the main bad guy in the Our Father episode found Hiro and Claire in the past: How did he know where to look? Sylar didn't tell him Hiro took Claire. Did the bad guy read Sylar's mind? Wow he could read minds just by talking to them on the cell phone. Plus, if he read Sylar's mind he should've focused on Sylar planning to kill him first then go for Hiro and Claire; after all he could travel back through time.

  • (More spoilers here!) Hey it's your right to disagree, just don't point your shotgun on me (just kidding!) Honestly both were disappointing; my main gripe with S2 was they focused on stories that were too long and had no purpose(eg. Claire's romance, Hiro's adventure in feudal Japan) As for s3, they kep slicing and dicing the characters: Sylar a villain then hero then villain again, Hiro reduced to a 10 year old in a man's body then losing his powers, Elle from bitch to wimp.

  • S2 was that way because it got cut in half. It was supposed to be 23 episodes, but due to the writers strike, they had one week to figure something out. Nathan getting shot wasn't supposed to happen, and those things you mention were supposed to have resolve. Stupid writers strike...

  • I completely disagree!!!!

I wonder by seeing this rapport what you gave S2 :|

  • As for twilrygirly1984, I agree with her disagreement completely.
