ukcat, your right and I did the same thing. Little radio, west coast trip , pillow and Jor Nuxhall. It was like loseing a beloved grandfather. I acually cry when I watch these Joe vidoes. I never met the man , but always looked up to as a person and at the game would ALWAYS spot the Red broadcast booth and see my hero stting up there. RIP JOE NUXHALL, my childhood hero and manhood hero.
The summer time wont be the same not hearing that wonderful voice and the storys.I remember laying with the radio under my pillow as a kid and listening to marty and joe on the west coast doing games and hoping my mom and dad didnt catch me because it was so late back in franklin ,ohio and it was a school night.going to miss you old lefthander!!!!
Somewhere out there, Joe is shaking it off and getting ready to get back out on the field again. Always remember, " If you swing the bat you're dangerous".
For the last time Joe is Rounding third and heading for home. We have lost a true icon. Thank you Joe for all the stories and all you have given the fans, the city and the Reds. Reds baseball will never be the same.
