The same patterns appeared in the sky in the late 50's and during the 60's too. Were they all spraying?

I was up in Kansas over this past weekend just outside Fort Riley. On my second day there, I went outside to get some fresh air, and hanging in the sky were no less than 6 "contrail" lines hanging above me. They forked out in a V shape, all starting from what looked like a central point to the v's, and they splayed out to cover most of the sky. When I first saw them, they looked fresh. They lingered for well over four hours, no exaggeration. The next day, a winter storm hit. Coincidence? Hmm.

This is called cloud seeding, it's a technique used by the military to encourage precipitation. Yes there are chemicals in these clouds. No the chemicals are not harmful to you or the environment. it basicaly acts like a sponge. it sucks up water.
