  • IDEA! do your 3d models in a high poly count and keep them until skyrim releases, so you can finaly finish tamriel rebuild in its engine, and all the models are already going to be done!!YOU HAVE 8 MOUNTHS LEFT!

  • Skyrim needs you, Bethesda is off their rockers for not trying to hire you to work on future Elder Scrolls games.

  • where can we download the mod?

  • Beautiful landscape! Looks like a paradise to me

  • So your initiative is redesign old Elder Scrolls games with Oblivion graphics? that's gonna be tough. But I look forward to seeing anything come out of it.

  • you guys make better cities than any one sefeinetly better than bethesda even though they set their work around a console they couldve done better they should hire you guys to make thier cities

  • Is any of this avaiable yet for Oblivion and also, is it a complete mod replacement or will it be built into the existing world of Cryodill? Somehow doubt, as would be complicated..but what you have done here so far looks spendid!

  • there s something missing...

    ah, yes the TOWNS!!!!

  • Hammerfell will have a proportional number of towns, just like the Imperial province. This is only the first region, and as such includes only two or three towns.

  • This video only shows the procedurally generated landscape. Check out the video response for footage of villages and other unique features.

  • Cant wait for this to come out!

  • Incredible...

  • seems a little too ambitious to me...

  • That's what everyone said of our Morrowind mod, and look at it now ;-)

  • is it out?

regardless - the concept art on the website is great!

  • its been out for years :)

  • if they ever intend to truly finish this mod it will be ultra huge!! 0_0

  • too many funny lookin rocks, it looks like the map has warts.

  • the colors look amazing

  • The only word I can describe this with is epic. Well done guys, great work! You are the most dedicated bunch of modders I've ever seen. How many players of a game continue modding it six years after its release [Morrowind], and after a sequel? Good luck, and keep up the good work!

Looking forward to playing all of the TR stuff once I have a new machine to play it all on!

  • beautiful, just beautiful, when the hell can we get a public release? I've been waiting on telvannis for like 3 years!

  • Modder landscapes are often more graphics intensive than developers'. Wouldn't do to release a game that runs on fewer systems (*cough*crysis*)

  • have u noticed some modders are better at making landscapes/items better than bethesda

  • ive noticedit all the time bethedesta but the real qeustion is wye did bethedesta make the graohics like that when they coulda done it like modders

  • Seems like modders make EVERYTHING better than the original game :P

  • When do you expect this mod will be completed? And will you include the Fang Lair?

  • lmao they started this mod whem morrowind ame out and now they moved to oblivion they havent relsed anything yet well anything big :)

  • Tamriel Rebuilt has released Stirk for Oblivion and Map 1 for Morrowind, and is on the verge of releasing a new version of Stirk, and Map 2 for Morrowind. Please check your facts before you post!

  • yeah i know map1 and ur relesing a new vertion of stirk? there wasint anything on the forums about that o well this mod is great i hope it adventualy gets done so my redgaurd can see his home again haha

  • Yeah! TAKE THAT!

  • Take that? Dude. al lthat stuff he said they would relses soon umm its been 2 months and all iv seen is the tamerial rebuilt morrowind map 2 beta weres the stirk remake I WANNA EXPLORE 8D BTW i dont have anything against this mod i stil love it and i think it will have Uber 1337 pwnage

  • Sorry i was being a fool

  • Dont be srry :P i admit i was being a bit of a dildo myself lol

  • No hard feelings :-)

  • TR map two for Morrowind came out last month, woot!

  • Yay! Cookies for all! BTW keep the mods coming!

  • looks great

  • ok i will do

  • no city?

  • Check out the other two videos uploaded by the user, they're both cities.

  • What types of new creatures or weapons will be added?

  • no offense but i think that broad0000 has done more of the hammerfell landmass than you guys have done so far.

  • Maybe so, although we don't measure a mod by quantity, rather by quality. We're also working different ways; we start a section, and then finish it completely. He probably created all his landmass first, which would ostensibly mean he has created more landmass.

  • if you search for his videos yourself you will see what i mean...

  • And if you read my response yourself, you'd see what I mean ;-)

  • Look at description... it was only generated.

  • have you all this create by dropping the objects?^^

or was it an programm, which has automatic place the trees, stones and grasses?

  • With the Oblivion Construction Set, we can pre-generate exterior regions without having to use the drag-and-drop method of Morrowind. We will, however, go over every cell and add detail, check for floating/bleeding objects, and other inconsistencies.

  • yea, i know^^

but i mean, if it was an script, who filled the country automaticly or if you have create all on your self.

  • There is a feature (well more than one feature, technically) that comes with the Oblivion Construction Set which allows you to generate regions. I'm fairly certain it's how BethSoft created Cyrodiil.

  • epic, romantic, nice! 5*

  • Thanks for the props!

  • Hey, I have another question: will this be modded directly into the existing world of oblivion or is it going to be acsessed by portal?

  • It will have it's own worldspace. There will be several options for entering, including a fort and a smuggler's cave.

  • i wish oblivion is not just 1 province but all the provinses, i want to see what morrowind looks like in oblivon.

  • there wasw morroblivion... but it got banned.

  • I've seen things about Morroblivion.. but it got bannned? Copyright issues or..?

  • yeah copyright issues, kind of stupid on bethesda's part as it did give people reason to go back and buy morrowind

  • The even would have to buy it for Morroblivion to be exactly

  • Aren't you guys also doing Skyrim, Valenwood, Elsweyr, Black Marsh (and maybe Morrowind/Summerset Isle too?) If I were you, I'd focus your entire team on one project so you'd get it done in like, a year maybe. But, excellent work! Looks beautiful!

  • Our project goal is to create at least one province for each engine. Morrowind will be finished for TES III, and that'll be the end of that. Hammerfell will be completed for TES IV, and that'll be the end of that. If TES V is out by then, we'll start a province for that.

Creating an entire province on a level equal to or higher than Bethesda's quality is no easy feat, and is impossible to do in a year. BethSoft couldn't even do it in two, and it was their paid job.

  • @NeCiFiX they have a dowload for elsweyr but i need to know how to make hammerfell work..i need this thing called cobl main.esm

  • @Solalee1 Google cobl! It's the first result: "Cobl at The Elder Scrolls Nexus"

  • I wonder what kind of animals will be there... I hope I get to see some old things like Winged Twilights, scrib or even some new ones too. By the way great job on Goldmoor.

  • Lots of rocks :D

  • So how far along are you guys?

  • We're working on the exteriors now. The area linking Hammerfell to Cyrodiil is in the quests stages.

One of the longest, slowest, and most arduous stages of the mod comes before the actual modding can begin. First we have to plan everything, and then (because Hammerfell is a totally different province) create all new architecture and landscape static models. Once we have those, we can generate the region. After that exterior modders start. It all rolls onward from there.

  • Wow, that sounds complicated. But keep up the good work, it has always been my deeply nerdy dreem to visit Hammerfell, and I'm so glad you guys chose it to do

  • I was under the impression that they quit.

  • Naw, maybe you're thinking of Morroblivion which got a cease and desist

  • Oh, thanks. Why did they get a cease and desist?

  • Well, the concept of Morroblivion was that it was a file converter that converted morrowind files to oblivion files, essentially allowing you to revist the lands of Morrowind while playing oblivion, however, Bethesda found it to be in violation of copyright (I forgot how so). So no more morroblivion.

  • I can see how it makes copyright enfringement (converting files from their original format into a different game, regardless of affiliation, breaks it). Still a cool concept.

  • Wow, looks awesome!!!! Are you working on quests/towns and npcs, etc? Can't wait to try

  • Yes, we are.

  • thanks ln

  • Looks absolutely amazing! Just wondering, what is the main composition of Hammerfell's landmass?

  • What do you mean? Climate type?

  • looks beautiful

  • Thank you very much :-)

  • Get your LOD sorted! ;o

  • how do you get the distance fog to be so smooth? my oblivion has distance fog as pretty much a wall, theres a small transition but it's too thick and unrealistic.

  • what do you mean? If I understand you correctly, then my answer would be: It's probably a mixture of good LOD files, the weather, the machine being used to capture the gameplay, and custom editing of the .ini file. But I don't remember exactly.

  • Well i meant the drawing distance, it looks like actual blue sky and the distance is pretty far, on my oblivion it looks like there is a solid white wall there, but I've been playing with tweaks and im getting it close to looking like that, thanks for the answer, and awesome work, i can't wait to run around Goldmoor.

  • The "wall of fog" is caused by turning your Distant Land off.

  • nope, it's on, everything is on max.

  • I really love what you have done so far, its incredible. Not to mention something quite different than what we see in most of Cyrodiil; it really has a feel that is all its own.

  • You should make a Stirk trailer, since it is BETA already...

  • What is the point? We are almost ready to release a final; a trailer on the beta version would be too little too late, and for too short a time.

  • Then just a trailer, more people should know about it, it is amazing (despite a small problem that I am trying to solve, on TR forums)

  • Sorry for the double post but when is the first provence gonna be done? in dieing to see it T.T

  • Morrowind? It will be finished when it is finished. You cannot put a date on these things.

  • is that place saposed to be bright like that?

  • Yes.

  • o ok =D

  • When will we be seeing some of the cities? I don't remember seeing much on the site for them...

  • As soon as the final part of our Architecture set is modeled.

  • =) Thanks!

  • The setting of Redguard, ahhh...memories.

  • Looks like Italy! haha.

  • *barbarian sorry :p

  • amazing, more land means more pillaging right? good for barbarion warlords such as myself...

    vendi,vidi,vici-i came, i saw and i conquered

  • Yeah, there will be plenty of that here :-) Hammerfell is not as strict as Cyrodiil, since the legion is pretty much non-existent here

  • woo hoo, watch out hammerfell, king ajax of northern tamriel and his army of raiders are in the house.

man i love you for making this mod, when its finished do you mind if i make a castle near the boundary between cyrodil and hamerfell? only once i start making vids il probably take over bruma cheydinhal and chorrol first, using the all npcs killable mod of course :)

anyone want to help me with taking over the world of tamriel? mail me :)

  • Now that sorta game would be cool. An elder scroll mmo game with player waging war againt other empires. How bout Elder Scroll: Divide and Conquer.

  • thx!!!! i love you

  • We are creating Hammerfell for Oblivion. Our Morrowind project is still a WIP.

  • I thought this was gonna be a Morrowind mod..

or are they making it for both?

    what's happening?

    I'm off to the site..

  • did u make tht??? its ammazing

  • I'd also like to note that music used in this video is out of date as well. I have improved it.

  • quite serene...

  • The Mountains/hills textures could of being better ,they lack quality but the rest looks good though.

  • Our Data Files were (and still are) incomplete at the taking of this video; when we release it to the public soon it will be much more detailed.

  • Skyrim? Or will you just get round to that eventually xD, Cause' iv'e always wanted to go up there.

  • We are not doing Skyrim. There are several projects (including Bethesda Softworks, if you believe the rumors) working on Skyrim, so you are bound to find one that you like.

  • A Skyrim mod' is in the making for Elder Scrolls III.

And it is said that Elder Scrolls V is planned to take place there.

  • Yays! If thats true I can't wait.

  • Bethesda hasn't actually said anything, but they've copyrited the name "Skyrim" for video games, manuals, and merchandise.

  • Morrowind will not be completely released for a while now, although our pace has picked up considerably from when we first began. Updates are much more frequent. However, a finished Map 1, as well as a beta for Map 2, will be released soon!

  • That is amaizing...i must say it looks better that the golden coast region witch is my favorite region in all oblivion...you guy deserve a round of applause...when will morrowind be ready?

  • that was really nice, the final sunset was amazing

  • Nice...I want to help, having seeing your website, but I can't mod and got barely with CS, all I can do is just maybe write argument and lore books maybe...is that okay?

  • wow, tamriel rebuilt rocks!

  • very nice project, keep up the good work !

  • I have a stupid question: please indulge me. Is this for Oblivion or for Morrowind? Looks like Oblivion to me.

  • oblivion

  • Brilliant work TR. I absolutely can't wait to try this. And now I've finally got a computer decent enough to play Oblivion well, I can't wait to start modding for it.

  • I wept with joy! This is the most beautiful, heartwarming thing in the entire game entertainment industry!

  • Thank you very much! We're glad you feel that way.

    -Tamriel Rebuilt Administrator

  • Is the construction set easy to use

  • Very. If you are more familiar with Morrowind's CS, it may seem a bit odd or slightly different at first, but overall it's much more powerful, much easier, and much quicker. :-)

  • Thanks so do i just buy the game, download the CS and maybe read a few tutorials other than that i'm good?

  • Yep!

  • It really seems you're all making good use of the TESCS - not just making your mod into a really, really big extension of Cyrodiil with the same terrain, trees, and look to it. Keep up the great work!

  • nice mod

  • wow..... very impressive. I always knew the TR team would amaze everyone with something of this calibre :D

  • Well we released Telvannis in 2006, and the final version (the final version will only be adding a MQ and numerous tiny floaters/bleeders reported by the public--essentially fine-tuning the machine.) is well on its way.

As far as Goldmoor goes, the first city interiors were opened for work the other day which is a huge step forward in progress. Check out the forums for more in-depth coverage of our status.
