It's from the squire of Gothos!

I cannot tell you how many times I have watched the TOS episodes (even if I have watched twice all the ST series - enterprise just once and it has been difficult), and everytime I find something new! I think this is a good hobby! ^__^

  • @erickrealz ^__^

  • and thank for the great video

  • @rammi55 The music is "Beethoven virus" performed by Diana using electric violin (remastered version of the classical Beethoven's Pathetique, sonata n.8 in C minor op.13): if this new beta graphic version of the page of youtube wouldn't have been so awful you would have read in the infos! ^_^

I'm glad that you liked! Thanks!

  • thank you very much

  • whats name of the song?

  • I AM IMPRESSED AND AMAZED.

(the music goes so well with the video, hahaha)

  • @ayoama Thanks!!!! You make me blush, I'm glad that you liked! ^__^

  • test comment. hope it works this time

  • 1:02 - LOL that's so realistic! :D

  • Indeed! ^_^

I like when Spock makes people fly: he is so strong!

  • I was thinking more of how that guy gets "knocked out" from being trown. Looks so surreal :P

  • I have to say that may be one of the fakier knockouts in TV history. I would have gone for the double pinch myself.

  • 6) Of course its the female crew members who never go out. I quite agree with you about having more girls getting a pinch. Forty-something pinches in TOS, but only three of them female!

  • @futureanimator53 6) In the Sixties they seem to have just been getting used to the idea of knocking out women. Also, the women on the Enterprise seemed totally in noncombatant roles, something that abated in later series. In Voyager, they had Tuvok put a female out with a pinch...then he and Janeway stole her uniform! "Asking female crew members for their clothing might lead to misunderstanding." So Vulcan, and so true! But fem KO PLUS uniform swap equals progress, Abrams take note!

  • 5) I have yet to see an example of a non-Vulcan pinch; I dont think Id enjoy it much if Spock wasnt the one to do it. I think there are quite a few pinches that could have used more screen time. Spockophiles? Fascinating. Yes, I am quite glad therere people who enjoy Spocks pinch as I do. Ive found that there are only two types of people: Trekkies, and people who are annoyed by Trekkies.

  • @futureanimator53 5) A non-Vulcan pinch would bother me most because ONLY VULCANS CAN DO IT! I don't tend to overgeek (except on the pinch; I admit to total Pinch Geekdom). But this is what I call reverse-over-geekdom. If you like something, fine. But don't have everybody doing it, because then you have to explain how they can do it, and....well...it just hasn't worked for me when that's been tried, you know? Let Vulcans channel minds through fingers to put people out. HUMANS CAN'T. lol

  • @futureanimator53 5) Some people seem to react to Trekkie like it's an insult. They are total Trek Geeks and what is wrong with that? who think If you call yourself a "Trekker," you are somehow cool. My friend: if you call yourself a "Trekker," you are a WAAY Trekkie. Come on here with the names! Total complete Trekkie Acceptance is MUCH cooler than "I am too cool to be a Trekkie." Now. Those with a life might disagree LOL!

  • @futureanimator53 5) Here's a question for you: which pinches do you think might have used more screen time? To me, Marta for sure. Why just drop that luscious bod? Pick her up. Carry her someplace and quietly ease her down, you know? Hiding her would have been a very good idea. Same with the Kohm guard. More time showing the pinch taking care of him and more time with Kirk taking care of his limp body. Have fun with this, you know? More? I'm sure. Let me think on this here.

  • 4) l Actually I must admit that Im fairly new to Trek myself (first saw ST09 two months ago) and the first Trek thing I ever saw was this vid. :) Was the Marta pinch fake? Maybe it was real since Garth could mimic a Vulcan body perhaps he also replicated the Vulcan telepathic powers. They were never clear on that. That sounds like the start of a fanfic to me, haha. She certainly could have done that, being an Orion female.

  • @futureanimator53 4) Great first Trek exposure, eh? Talk about getting off on the right foot! It's weird and funny that they never made clear what happened in that scene. They in fact never TRIED to make it clear; they just glossed it over! No mention of it at all. Oh yeah, talk about the ripest material for a fanfic that nobody has taken up! Maybe we should do it. What do you think? :-D

  • 3) What would you say as your wake-up speech? I saw an ep of ENT a few days ago where TPol pinched someone. I was pleasantly surprised to see that, since I didnt think she did it, too. Thats the only non-Spock pinch Ive seen yet. Oh I liked the PotA girl pinch as well. Spock was so badass with that one! Some victims dont seem to go all the way out (eg Daystrom). Never heard of Trek? What is that, like the plot of a horror movie or something? lol

  • @futureanimator53 3) Yep, T'Pol did it, but what I saw of it, well, she didn't sell it like Nimoy. And what a shame for us guys! lol Daystrom didn't go out for a few steps; he seems to sag into unconsciousness just as security grabs him. I think Spock gave him a little disorienter to keep him on his feet; walked him to security; then intensified the grip to put him out so as not to cause them any trouble. Spock seems badassier with the ladies! My wake-up speech. Hmm, let me think on that.

  • @futureanimator53 3) I think the only thing weirder than never having heard of Trek is those time-travel episodes and films; the crew is now in an Earth present where Trek DIDN'T HAPPEN! lol I need to grill my girl on this; we haven't talked enough about it. Never having heard of it? You are right; anywhere TV has made big inroads (and oh yeah in Malaysia she had plenty), that IS weird, eh? Hmmm. Maybe she's an alien lol! Heeeeey...she caught on the pinch so fast maybe she's Vulcan...!

  • 2) I would totally try a Vulcan pinch/meld combo; I think itd be so awesome! As long as Spock doesnt erase the memory of the pinch, of course. ;) The only wake-ups I can recall are Kirk from 09 and one from PotA; other than that we never see guards, redshirts, etc. wake up! WTF? Id kind of like to see victims reactions, like whether they remember being pinched or if they say their neck hurts. Maybe Sulu would have remembered but the sedative and/or polywater virus prevented it.

  • @futureanimator53 2) I can't remember a wakeup from PotA. Maybe it's the sedative they gave me, or a meld lol! They could have put more wake-up scenes in; shame they didn't. you couldn't fit them in the episodes as written but you could rewrite them to fit it in. That's what we should do together: rewrite a scene to fit in a wakeup, figuring out what you could drop to do that and how the wake-up scene could happen without losing plot. A challenge but doable I bet! We should try it. ;-)

  • @futureanimator53 2) Come to think of it i can't remember Kirk's wakeup from 09 either. Either it was REALLY fast or *I* was unconscious! That happens to me in theaters, a lot. And it's not a pinch lol. But it didn't during this movie. Hmmmm. Now you've really got me intrigued, b/c I like the wakeup scene idea as much as you!

  • I like when Spock sneeks up on the person, but why didn't he just get both of the men at the same time at :59 I don't know.

  • mmm... I think because it is more choreographed to see the man in black fly through the air by a single motion of Spock's arm!

  • Lolz! This music goes perfectly with it =P

  • Thanks! ^__^

  • which episode is at 1:11 ?

  • It's from "errand of mercy"

  • Why thank you! :) I thought it was a thought-provoking query myself. I thought you might pick Daystroms reaction, since its your favorite. As far as how I would respond to Spocks pinch, there's so many different ways to react, I don't know if I could pick just one! I guess I would probably just go limp and collapse to the floor, unless he felt compelled to catch me before I hit the ground, which I hope he would. ;) I was wondering how exactly it worked, and that theory certainly makes sense.

  • Plus it would explain why Spock couldnt teach it to Kirk, as mentioned in Omega Glory. By the way, have you seen the pinch from Star Trek 09? Thats one of my favorites as well.

  • Why? That '09 pinch was so fast that unless you're a Pinch aficionado/a, you missed it! I barely caught it! LOL

I don't think that they ever got clear just how Vulcan-only the pinch was. Then Canon Creep had everyone (practically) either doing it or trying it. Seemed odd to me....

  • Well, yes, go limp. Everyone does do that, don't they? But facial is everything, and sound (if any) a close second. Would it be a Marta-or-Sirah-type Grimace with Dainty Sigh; a Daystrom-like Unconscious Eyeroll with Grunt; a WTF Head Swivel like the guard in Assignment Earth; a Stiffen with Eye Bulge like the straw-boater guard in Piece of the Action...you know, that sort of thing. The before-limp part, as 'twere. I guess I like the reactions that make it look like an alien did it!

  • lol Wasn't that what I was just saying about all the different ways to react? There are an awful lot. (the Daystrom-type and similar reactions do look like the result of an internal short-circuiting, like you said) But I'm usually more interested in what Spock does, like if he sneaks up on the victim and whether he catches them after they're out. I like the '09 pinch just because it's cool. Not sure what language "aficionado" is, but I think we both qualify as such! lol And what is Canon Creep?

  • @futureanimator53 : LOL! As an actress you'd have to pick ONE. I see numerous takes. But I think - as a fellow aficionado - that finally your head would do a wide-eyed WTF Swivel...hey, he's putting me to sle...and Spock would embrace you and ease you silently into a chair. You would never see it coming, you would make that clear. ;-)

"Canon Creep" happens with sketchy initial info as to how something like this works. Subsequent interpretations go all over the place, predictably. ;-)

  • @futureanimator53 : I think "aficionado" is Italian (or Spanish?). Female "aficionada." It means - as the two of us demonstrate - individuals of knowledge, taste, experience and discernment. (Shoot, Spock would pinch me about now. Would serve me right. WTF...!)

  • @spocksvulcanpinch Id like to see him pinch more females, since he only pinched three in TOS. (unless you count the android from I, Mudd)

  • @futureanimator53 I think now that it's so obvious that the nerve pinch has a Sexy Component that apparently no one saw coming (hey this is sex...uuuuuuhhhh...), more women going under for Spock are a crying need. Abrams, take note!

  • One aficionado to another, three of your favorites, I'll bet ;-) :

    1. the pinch of the Kohm in Omega Glory (total never saw it coming or NSIC; nice catch and carry, albeit Kirk not Spock so points off lol). 2. Daystrom (TOTAL NSIC, plus I bet we're seeing eye to eye on that WTF...LOL...) 3. the rocket base guard in "Assignment Earth." Featuring: major NSIC; total WTF; and good business by Spock (although he lets the guy, well, drop). Now. Why doesn't he ever catch the girls...? LOL

  • @spocksvulcanpinch Haha, yes, I would most certainly require multiple takes. But I think the director would eventually be like Cut! Do it again but this time TRY not to enjoy it so much! lol Ohh, I like the part about him lovingly catching me in his arms before I fall. I wonder if, between when a victim is pinched and when they actually go limp, they know what happened. What do you think?

  • @futureanimator53 Oh yeah, I think they know SOMETHING happened. (WTF?) I dont think they really have time for even an abbreviated Im being put to sle but they know that something is happthen the lights go out. They know they didn't just doze off, for sure! Now a couple of times that Ive seen in fics, a Vulcan mind-melds with a victim (joining minds with the unconscious is another cool Vulcan thing) to make the victim think that IS what happened. "You had too much wine..."

  • @spocksvulcanpinch In the rare instances when we get to see the victim wake up later, they do seem to know what happened. How come we hardly ever get to see people wake up? Thats an interesting scenario, melding with a victim to alter their memory. Are there any canon examples of that? Even if there arent, I dont see why it couldnt work. I envy the lucky victim who gets a pinch AND a meld from Spock. ;) I bet you like the unconscious Romulan meld in ST 09.

  • @futureanimator53 It is odd why we rarely (and it IS rare) see wake-ups. They don't seem to leave room in the scripts; it would be hard to put any in there if you watch them. Sulu after he's pinched (and presumably sedated in sickbay) doesn't that I recall say anything specific to remembering what occurred. I can't think of any others offhand. Most non-crew pinch victims, we never even see again. I would like to hear Marta's coming-to speech most if I had to choose one, I think. Good ques!

  • The examples of pinch/melding I can think of are all from written fiction other than Spock's "plant" into senseless McCoy's mind in III (IV?); I think Spock is the Vulcan involved in only one of them (and I'm not coming up with any titles). I agree with you; If a Vulcan can put you to sleep with telepathy, and meld with your mind, is melding with an insensible victim such a stretch? The Romulan meld was blink-miss-it, like the pinch in that film, don't you think? Lucky? Try it first, LOL!

  • @spocksvulcanpinch Wow. That was quite a lovely description of that pinch from PotA! =D I read on Memory-Alpha that some non-Vulcans can do the pinch as well. (though I havent those yet as I still have to watch TNG, DS9, VOY, and ENT) I thought the Kohm pinch was too quick; if you blinked, you missed it! I liked the female pinch from Omega Glory, one of my faves, and the one from PotA, too. And it wasnt really Spock who pinched the Orion girl, but some imposter.

  • Non-Vulcans pinching equals canon creep LOL! It's funny, and almost seems to take something away from it for me go figure. Of the pinches that might have used a couple more seconds or so the Kohm is up there for sure. All three fem pinches are up there for me, great reactions and coughboygirlcough lol. And isn't it funny how Garth's getting the pinch along with the shapeshift ability never is explained? Alternative canon is they faked it to persuade Kirk; maybe but saying nothing about it?

  • @futureanimator53 Now of course here's how they could have intro'd the fake-pinch by Garth in "Whom Gods Destroy": Marta doing her slink-all-over-yabody thing on Garth and saying: "Vulcans put people to sleep with their fingers, did you know that? They squeeze you right here [pinches him] and .....darkness, my darling...Kirk will believe you [slink] if you[slink] put....me....to...sleeeeep...[slink wink pretend eyeroll go limp]. Now that might have gone close to R rating with Yvonne...!

  • @futureanimator53 Why thank you! The PotA Girl - what was the actress's name? - deserves as much. Although she seems to have quite a bit of neck control for an unconscious person =-D her I'm-not-here-anymore face is a winner for sure! My girlfriend is from Malaysia; she appears to never have heard of Star Trek (gasp!) but seems to be getting the hang of the nerve pinch quite well. I may have her go to school on the PotA girl...or maybe show her all three fem pinches and have her choose LOL!

  • @spocksvulcanpinch Spock certainly is sexy, especially when he KOs someone. ;) Btw, have you noticed that hes knocked out all the regular characters from TOS *except* Uhura? I was a tad disappointed that ST 09 had just one pinch; hopefully there will be more in the sequel. I wonder if J.J. needs any volunteers for the part?

  • Always thought it was interesting that very few Spockophiles mention the pinch as particularly sexy; glad there are a few of us here on Tube at least! And indeed, Uhura has never gone out...and hey, did Chapel? Don't think so and I'd give her regular status. Yeah, we are talking serious pinch deficit in 09 and I'm hoping they change that...and put some girls in there ferpetesake! TOS was at the very dawn of women's lib. New century, neck of the goose equals neck of the gander and all that!

  • 1) (Im gonna number each post, since YT doesnt want to post them in the right order) I just watched the first movie the other day. The best part was the pinch of course. I watched it in slo-mo, several times, but wasnt all that interested in the rest of the movie. Looking forward to seeing Wrath; I hear its the best of the first six. I agree that the pinch and meld in 09 were both over too fast. Mr. Abrams ought to put a few more in the next film. What do you think of melds?

  • @futureanimator53 1) Pinches in slow-mo...why do they not do that more often? lol What do I think of melds? You mean are they sexy? Yes, if done right. (For a guy that means: boy/girl. Or for boy/boy: if you can IMAGINE boy/girl. And a meld with an unconscious person is ALWAYS sexy. With an unconscious female, doubly so! I think that the best thing about them is that they aren't totally physical; there's a mental component too. Wish Nimoy had thought more about that up front, eh?

  • @futureanimator53 Now as to your preferred personal nighty-nite: your favorite pinch must be the eye-bulging guard in Piece of the Action. Wouldnt you like to get a ManBrace and gentle carry like that, slightly modified for gender considerations? Complete with a sweet pat on the shoulder from Kirk? lol It seems to me as if you will have just enough time to whisper, "Spaaahhhhck...." as his arms slide under yours...and you are allowed a soft smile as your personal interpretation. ;-)

  • @spocksvulcanpinch Thats why its called the *Vulcan* nerve pinch, cuz only they can do it. You would think people would know that I bet when Nimoy invented the pinch he had no idea people like us would enjoy it so much! With Kohm even the audience didnt see it coming. Daystrom was the most WTF in the entire series. And I like how Spock distracted the guard before knocking him out. People never see it coming, except the one at 2:17, which I think is the only time. Dont know about the girls.

  • @futureanimator53 Right. Stop the earth people pinching! Let Vulcan be Vulcan! Lol The Kohm pinch was such a surprise it probably rendered half the *audience* unconscious. Daystrom is one of historys all time best KO takes. And distraction before KO always adds, for sure. I think our Anna says that Spock drops two of the three women because they got a bit too cozy with the Captain. I wont argue! (The third he just allows to sit back down, slightly less aware than when she stood up.)

  • Spock is just a badass he's just like fuck this *pinch*

  • I love this vid, Anna! My favorite is the one at :11; he's just been tortured, handcuffed, and jailed, and yet he was still able to escape and knock out the guard without even being seen! Plus he has his shirt off... ;)

  • You're right, I never looked at this scene from this point of view: in fact he is really great, and how calmly and efficiently Spock is able to free himself and makes the pinch!

... of course shirtless Spock is the top of the top, and this pinch deserves first place just for this! ^ __ ^

    Thank you for your kindness!

  • @annafrancesca1 Wow, you replied so quickly! I like that you take the time to respond to all these comments; that's very thoughtful. :) It's nice to find someone who appreciates Spock's pinch as much as I do! Which ones are your favorite?

  • As someone else who sort of appreciates it too, a little, I too will show you mine if you show me yours. ;-)

  • @spocksvulcanpinch And hello, spocksvulcanpinch. Do you like Spock's pinch too? I never would've guessed! lol Which ones are your favorites?

  • I like to keep them guessing; I thought my name telegraphed a fondess for Chapel. ;-)

The ones I like are the ones with cool victim reactions, or fun business by Kirk and Spock. Examples: :49 (great reaction); 0:53 (another of the same kind of great reaction); 1:53 (different reaction but still great, and coughnicevictimcough). The pinch of the female DJ on Piece of the Action is another of the coughlattertypecough. A good "business" pinch is :02 (the distract-em variety).

  • Other good "business" pinches: :08 (distract 'em); :32 and :37 (I'll tie him up, you pinch him); 1:11 (when I let him breathe, you pinch him); 1:16 (before I smack him one, you pinch him); 1:38 (I love the sound the cop makes, which you can't hear on this one); 1:42 (distract 'em with a great reaction). A real favoritie isn't here, the pinch of the Kohm in Omega Glory (distract 'em plus Disembodied Hand of Spock and Kirk Walks Home a 'Drunk'. Daystrom's reaction may be best-in-series.

  • You are quite thorough in your analysis of Spock's pinch! There doesn't seem to be any certain way a victim is supposed to react, is there? I think each actor kind of does something different. And of course Shatner had to be a ham for his pinch lol. My favorite pinches are usually the ones that involve Spock being sneaky or clever. :11 is my top fave (he has his shirt off!) but i also like :50 (he distracted the guard) 1:47 (she never saw him coming) 1:58 (he was playing dead, clever Spock)

  • If you were an actor in the series, how do you think you would react to Spock's pinch? If you don't mind me asking :)

  • Not at all. Great question! I am impressed. Why didn't anyone ask that before? Maybe you should take my name! lol

I think Daystrom, or the rocket base guard in "Assignment Earth," have the one I'd use. As I understand it, the pinch doesn't work so much by a physical assault as by a telepathic short-circuiting of the nervous system, and is supposed to be painless. That seems the best explanation to me; and that's the one I'd go with. Besides, they just make the pinch look cooler!

  • @futureanimator53 : and I should have asked you the same question, shouldn't I? ;-) You're the actress; you feel the hand on the neck. What's next?

  • 1:22 1:30 2:00 2:18 in this video.

But my first fav is in the video can can pinch, the one that Daystrom deserves in the episode "The ultimate computer". Spock behaves differently depending on how he feels to the victim: if he wants only to defend he tries not to hurt and takes in order not to let him fall, if he is a bit angry he throws badly down the victim or even hurts .Daystrom was threatening Jim...he shouldn't have!

  • I figured you liked 1:22 and 1:30 since you showed them three times. ;) And I also like the other two because it looked like Spock didn't have the advantage, but then he ends up overpowering his adversaries! I've noticed too that he acts differently each time he pinches someone, depending on the situation. Like at 2:06 Spock just wanted to get the technician out of the way without hurting him. Well, Daystrom was also kind of insane at the time, wasn't he?

  • Imho Spock's mind meld is one of the most intriguing aspect of this character!

  • 2:17 nice

  • what a broken move! xD

  • 3:30 is not the nerve pinch.

Its the "vulcan death girp".(a mind meld without speaking.)

  • what episodes where 1:25 and 3:30

  • 1:25 Bread and circuses

    3:30 The Enterprise incident

    Thanks for watching !

  • the coolest thing about the nerve pinch is it's based on a real martial arts move using pressure points to knock someone unconscious with minimal effort. But it's very dangerous and can kill you.

  • Dangerous or not...it would be usefull to learn it! ^__^

  • yes it is useful to learn it, especially for self defense! lol

btw thanks for the reply :)

  • the coolest thing about the nerve pinch, is it's based on a real martial arts techinique using pressure points that knocks someone out with minimal effort.

  • wow thats so cool that you reply to almost everyones comments : )

  • Well, I try to reply when I can: I like to talk with other people about my favourite officer in starfleet! ^_^

  • Spock's coolest vulcan ever

  • Yes, I agree!

And the sexiest, the smartest, the most handsome, the cutest....and I could go on... ^__^

  • is it a selection of vulcaninan pinces?

  • Yes, it is a selection of vulcan pinches edited in a crescendo: he starts from enemies, continues with simple witnesses and goes on with the whole crew!!!! But it is just a funny story that Kirk tells to Spock: he doesn't laugh! ^_^

  • loved it! 5 stars

  • Thanks! ^_^

  • no, grazie à te per aver fato questa video. Come si chiama la musica che hai uttilizzato?

ps: scusa per i miei errori in italiano

  • Your italian is very good! ^_^

The music is Beethoven virus (remastered version of the classical Beethoven's Pathetique), you can see in the infos beside

  • oh god: I listen ofthen to Beethoven's pathethique, but I didn't make the link. It's so different...

  • Awesome

    =)

    5 Stars

  • Thanks! ^_^

  • I love sneeky Spock at 2:08. But then again, Spock is just cool. When you make fembots minds implode, you can safely say that he it in a league of awesomeness of your own.

  • hahahaha the guy at 2:18 was like "Not so fast"....but then Spock was like "I have a second hand!" LOL! Awesomeness XDDD

i could watch him do this all day <3333

  • I like that pinch: one hand is blocked? No problem, Spock pinches using the other hand! ^_^

Thanks, I'm glad that you liked!

  • lol yeah it made me crack up! A video like this needed to be made....good job.

I was watching an episode of TOS last night and it was the episode where two planets were fighting a computeried war. In any case, Spock goes up to one of them and was like "Excuse me sir, but you have a multi-legged creature on your shoulder." The guy looks at his shoulder lol and then Spock nerve pinches him. haha he;s so cool i love him.

  • what happened in the ending? What ep. is it on also? did Kirk trick him or something?

  • Wich ending?

The final clip is from The squire of Gothos. The Vulcan death grip, in the clip before the last, is from The Enterprise incident. The vulcan death grip is not really deathly, Spock made it on Kirk and he looked dead, but it was a trick

  • I've got to say my favourite was when Spock looked like he was just going to tap the guy on the shoulder, and suddenly he's passed out. :P 2:20

  • Yes, it's cool!

    Thanks for commenting!

  • pardon my ingnorance

what other characters do the VNP aside from spock?

  • I'm not aware of anyone else, of course Vulcans can do it, so T'Pol can do it and I don't know who else.

  • In TOS only Spock did. Then somebody decided to do Mission Creep on the pinch, and suddenly everybody's doing it but Uhura. :-D

  • 1:57 I love all of them for the face expressions so it's a little odd my fav. is one where you can't see the face(s) but to me Spock was saying FAIL to them

  • maybe that is your fav because Spock pinches two in one move! ;-))

I cannot choose...perhaps in this video I prefer the roman's one, but my fav are in the can-can one!

  • from wich episode is 2:13 & 2:36 ?

  • They are both from "Operation annihilate"

  • That was an awesome video! :-D Two of my favorites were the one from "The City on the Edge of Forever" (1:38 - 1:40 ) where Kirk and Spock were talking to the cop and Kirk says "How careless of your wife to let you go out that way." Spock then says, "Yes, it's quite untidy; here, let me help you." lol

Another VNP favorite of mine was where Spock says to someone, "Excuse me, you have a multi-legged creature crawling on your shoulder." lol But, for the life of me, I can't remember the episode.

  • Thanks! ^_^

I like those pinches where Spock's effortless humor is shown!

The multilegged scene is from "A taste of armageddon"

  • No problem! :-D

Yeah, same here! :-) It just shows us that, even though Spock is half-Vulcan, no matter WHAT he says, he does have a human side. :-D He CAN be playful. lol

Thanks for the answer on the "multi-legged" VNP! I figured it was that one, but I wasn't sure. lol :-)

I was re-watching all of the episodes in honor of the new movie, but now that I found out that I'm going to get to actually meet Leonard Nimoy, I just might have to watch 'em again! :-D

    Thanks again for the help!

  • What is the name of the episode 0:25 - 0:30? (I'm pretty sure the two pinches are the same episode.)

  • Dear SVP, you are right : they are both from "Tomorrow is yesterday"! ;-))

  • I was going to post the question on another video; but I held off and came here because I knew I could count on you. :-) Thanks!

  • mine is the 1:10 one

  • Ah! Ah! the one of the centipede! :-))

  • what episode was the one when spock ran into the bridge and threw the guy off the seat?

  • It's from "operation annihilate"

  • i think that one was from "operation annihilate" when spock is trying to take over the ship. BTW, the guy was mr. sulu

  • my favorite was at 2:00 I just like it. great video.

  • yesss! of course two is better than one! ^_^

  • omg spock has a hairy chest-- meeeow

  • YEEEESSSSSSS!!!! ^___^

  • 0.41!!!!! :D:D:D:D

  • ^___^

  • I love the one at 2.00 :D:D he always looks so annoyed xd

  • Great vid lol 3:59 and just curious whats the song?

  • Thanks! ^_^

The music is "Beethoven virus" performed by Diana (take a look at the info beside)

  • What was that last clip from?

  • It's the end of the episode "The squire of Gothos"

  • Do excuse my ignorance but what is the Vulcan death grip?

  • Vulcan death grip is at 3:30 , it doesn't exist, it's an invention of Spock and Bones in order to fool the Romulan commander. Bones said that Kirk was dead, but Spock made a pinch that simulated death...as he later says it would have been interesting if the Romulans wanted to make an autopsic analysis!

  • wow spok does that a lot! way more than i realized. he's very courteous about it though, always letting the people down gently to the floor. 2:16 is my fave.

  • Yes, Spock is the great pincher!!!!

  • thats what she said! *sigh!* ....nevr mind!

  • yeah! i would be a jerk about it (probably) i would let them just fall! I only wonder; why does spock always ease his victims onto the floor? insted of just letting them fall?

  • Well, as a totally logical Vulcan (a member of a race which abhors unnecessary violence to boot) he avoids hurting anyone any more than absolutely necessary.

Slash Theory Amendment Alert: If you are a chic, and touch Kirk, now a little more is necessary.

Then...WHOOOOMP. (2 out of 3 fem pinches were of fems that had touched Kirk. He makes nice with the third one.)He probably makes sure the fall doesn't kill her LOL...

  • I agree!

SVP, you are an authority in the field of vulcan pinches and Spock's expecially!

Have you ever think to make a university class about pinches? ^_^

  • Anna: I'm working on the syllabus now.

This part should be fun: "Pinching Gurlz: Why Didn't Spock Just Bop Them With Guns? or: Just Drop What You Don't Like"

  • Oh, of course I forgot the tactical angle. The pinch is silent, and the victim has no time to make a noise. (Some give grunts and sighs, but pretty quiet ones.) Since you're already close, and likely in a situation where you don't want nearby foes to hear anything, catch that body and put it down quietly.

Unless it's some chic who just touched your captain; then stealth be damned. WHOOOOOMP. Which is what you gotta love about TOS: the illogic.

  • Ehmm...SVP, sometimes you scare me...

  • come sarebbe utile saperla fare....XD
