Actually this kind of razor is shit. I used it 1 month and got tired of beard streching and skin cutting... Ouch! But it gave me the experience and the dexterity to use now a straight razor properly and now shaving myself with my Quattro never have been so easy.

Also try something better than cream. Slippery lube makes the razor glide better. You know those mach3 fusion newfangled things depend on newcomers that don't know how to shave to just spread on some cream and swipe away.
