oh and how i guessed your not swiss? Well english isnt one of the 4 official languages of switzerland, now if you spoke rumansh instead i would be totally convinced that you are swiss...
The Initiative you speak of has nothing to do with refugees at all, the only thing it makes possible is getting people out of here who committed severe crimes like murder, sexual abuse and so on. It is however true that it was a right wing party that brought the initiative up, but thats not the point at all, my point was that swiss people despite the decisions of the goverment, saved the lives of thousands of people who would have faced certain execution in germany...
how do you know I am not Swiss, just because my comment seems to be not typically swiss-style-patriotic ? even for switzerland, there is no reason to feel proud and content concerning their politcal role in WWII, you should know that. plus history seems to repeating as for the "aussschaffungsinitiative" which is currently providing Swiss population with dissocation and hatred for the REFUGEES which you brought up here. spare me please !
@Sagovindar I'm swiss, studying swiss history during WWII in a swiss university and I agree with TheEdddi, Switzerland closed the borders in 1942, worst time for the Jews, and put the refugees in work camps. If you want to know more about this part of our history, not the most glamorous part I must say, start at uek.ch (website of the national comittee of historians, state funded and quite good quality). And the reason I speak english is : I don't speak schwizerdütsch "sorry".
@TheEdddi just incase that you dont know, since you dont appear to be swiss: "the boat is full" is a quoting from world war 2, swiss politicians decided to close the border, to prevent switzerland from getting overrun with refugees, but the population near the borders helped thousands of people getting in nonetheless...
@TheEdddi Not my type of music much either, but I think someone has to talk about this "boat is full thing", and we don't do it enough in Switzerland. Because that's a memory that's never going away, it came back in the 70's (google james schwarzenbach), it's coming back now in a different form, it's doomed to come back every major economis crisis and it's rather depressing, not to say revolting.
I know better stuff from her.

sorry but I have to say I hate this.
as mentioned before (in German), this is music for people für school pupils. how bold to call that song "the boat is full".
this is rather music for people without real-life insights,
wishing to be more in touch with humanity.
listen to the blues, if you want to get to know your dark side.
this is lacking seriousity while pretending to be somber...
