I had the honor of seeing this talented woman in Natchez, Mississippi a few years back. She was totally awesome then and age is just making her better. This Mississippi Woman LOVES YOU MS. DENISE!!!!!!!
I really miss the slower ife...Trees, Grasses, and Rivers...no Asphalt...no pollution, no cars, no honkin, police sirens, etc...City Life has Its' down points.
I am a Mississpi Woman that has been visiting Ohio for 35 years. I love my delta. I have brought Yazoo to the Big city;everyone I know in my visiting city are honorary Mississpians.
When I iniitally heard this song, I went crazy...I had to hear it over and over and could not wait for the CD to be released...even my 74 yr old mom wanted a copy...from stem to stern may the boat continue to sail with Ms. Denise aboard.
LOL! I was the same way. I had to travel miles to purchase it. I could of ordered it but I could't wait that many days. I live Hollywood, Ca and no ever plays this kind of stuff. I have to rely on my southern roots to find this stuff. "We love you Denise".
I love this song!I'm a Mississippi Woman (true down south country girl) even though I currently live in the Midwest. I think all real Mississippi can relate to the lyrics in this song. This song reminds me of home and the Blues concerts. Denise is a bad woman.Thanks for posting this whom ever you are.
You are more than welcome. I'm glad that you enjoy it. If you get the chance buy the complete CD. It's really good. I don't work for Denise or any record company. I just want to promote these soul aritst. Radio have turned their back on these artist. As fans, it's a good thing to share. Take care and God Bless.
I knew 2008 is going to be great, great memories of the past and great bright future for 2008, hopefully more to come, ...it is good to hear Denise's career move,...It truly love this sound, thx for posting and sharing the 411. Happy New Year!
Thanks for your comment. Yes, she's back with Malaco. I read it in their blog section. Shirley Brown is also back in their studio. I have always like the production of Malaco's stuff. I wish Dorothy Moore would go back. I liked her Feel The Love CD. The other stuff was not as strong, but there were some good tracks.
oh yeah this here some blues...sing Ms. Etta James home!

@thejukejoint You Are a "You-Tube God-King of Groove!"
I think that should be an Award.
Those crackheads might have stolen all of my CD's,
But they can't Steal My Memory OR My You Tube!

Denise is back with Malaco? Interesting. Let's hope her recent string of Southern hits will continue there.
