  • Hope its coverfx :d

  • i have a question.. i have alot of freckles and i want to cover up a tattoo on my neck, how can i conceal it without it being too noticable, because of my freckles.. please answer back.. thank youu..

  • This is easy....thanks :)

  • would this be able to hide a tattoo for someone who dances?

  • wat if ur tan skin ?

  • Thank you so much!

I needed to cover up my wings on my back for my sister's wedding this month.

I'll be sure to follow your procedures! Thanks again!

  • Not that I would know anything about that.

  • I dunno anything about modeling or tattoos but you would make the HOTTEST phone sex operator in the friggin world LOL.

  • no one intends on covering them up until maybe their wedding day... which is my case. i have a big sunflower on my forearm and a large piece on my upper arm.

    great video =)

  • Its not fake it works. You might need to cover your tatts up for work, like if you have them on your hands or neck. A lot of places wont take you on if you have tattoos. Nice Vid!

  • For a night? What are you doing at night that you need to conceal your ink? :P

  • work?

  • Exactly. For instance, I model from time to time, and tattoos are mostly acceptable, but there are some shoots (and lots of other jobs, like waitressing, or hosting) where they are not. And although they are primarily accepted in society, if I was going to dinner at say, The Four Seasons, I wouldn't want to show my ink.

  • Nice voice

Any one try this? Wanna no how well this works cuz I need to hide my tat. And is there any thing like this but waterproof?

  • vichy labratories is a makeup line. they have camouflagae that also has a water proof pouder. ur local cvs might have it. but i checked online and they ddnt:[

  • Like araitsanita said, Vichy labs manufactures a line for Dermablend that is primarily water-resistant. Exuviance Leg & Body Makeup is also water resistant (I prefer Dermablend though, because the colors by Exuviance don't quite match my skin tone).

  • did any one else notice that the end result pic was the other side of her hip?

  • she prob flipped the picture

  • @theodgildark her still camera flips the image, u can tell when during the video the head of the tiger is the other way, then when video, its the opposite direction

  • Probably fake.

  • not fake

  • If I was going to make a fake video, I think I'd choose something a bit more exciting then covering a tattoo. lol. I'm quite shocked at how many "fake" comments I get here- it's really not that hard to do, you can try it yourself and see! Just walk into any Sephora or Ulta and use the Dermablend testers. You'll be pleasantly surprised at how easy and quick they cover color and black ink.

  • Hi ,

I have a question to you.

Wich brand of make up do you use to cover up your tattoo ?

(I'm from Holland so probably my english isn't so goed)

I hoop to hear from you

  • I currently have to cover some medium size tattoos for a dance competition ,,i went to try dermablend and it isn't that easy...it takes alot of coats then more powder.. and needless to say it does wear off on clothing even with setting powder ..it takes me over an hour to do one tattoo because you have to let it dry in between applications..but i will try the hairspray thingee hopefully that will help,,it will cover just not 100%

but it is a great foundation base and then use normal powder

  • well u light skinned people are lucky lmao. or maybe we're luckier idk yet

  • It's actually a lot easier to cover up tattoos on darker skin, due to the fact that there's less contrast between the darkness of the ink and the skin surrounding it. So it would be much easier to pull off this technique then on someone with say, ivory skin.

  • @iiRUNshit you can use MAC's studio sculpt concealer. they have darker colours and its kinda the same as vichy dermablend. it's only a little bit oilier so you need some powder when you finish

  • fuck this shit... don't get inked if you need to cover it up

  • a lot of times you get tattooed and then something comes up. No one gets a tattoo with an intention to cover it up.

  • I'd like to think that in today's world, I can have my ink and still get whatever job I choose to or go out wherever I please without drawing stares. I also used this cover up on my wedding day...It's meant for special occasions, not daily camo. Then, there wouldn't be a point in having ink at all!

  • sexy voice.

    lol

    nice tutorial too

    :P

  • easier way to hide my tat from mum :) sick of wearing long sleeves she thinks im emo ahaha

  • what kind of concealer are you using?

  • Hi there! I was wondering if you can do a demo with this product on stretch marks? Also, does the finish look natural, or does it look like make up caked on. I want to use dermablend on stretch marks on my calves, but I have no idea how to apply it.

  • Hi there....

I don't really have any stretch marks that I can do a tutorial with, but I can tell you that I have some scars on my upper arm that are similar (long and thin), and the best way to cover that type of blemish is with a short-bristle concealer brush and stippling motions. Don't cake it on, start light, and add layers as you go, and the finish should stay pretty natural.

  • hehe I LOVE model in a bottle although it DOES feel like hairspray and stings a bit but hey it works! :)

  • What kind of makeup are you using?

  • what kind of concealer are you using?

  • Sorry for the delay, haven't logged in for a long time. I made my own concealer using mica, pigment, and a waxy cream-balm base. There are many similar formulas on the market though- look for anything that's thick enough to be packaged in a pot. MAC makes a great one.

  • what makeup are you using? i want to cover up a tattoo on my left shoulder for my wedding...and does it rub off? if it does what do you recommend for the make up not to rub off? how long does it last?

  • Thank you soooo much

    xoxoxooxoxox

  • have you ever gotten it on ur cloths. i started ballet and i have a tattoo on my wrist and my leotard is long sleeve. will it rub off??

  • Thanks so much for posting. Have you had any issues with the make-up coming off on your clothing or does the hair spray address that as well? Thanks.

  • Yes, the hair spray addresses that pretty well for me, sort of forms a polymer seal over the makeup and presents any chance of transfer to clothing. If you don't like the idea of putting hairspray on skin, you can also try a product called "Model in a Bottle" which is designed to seal makeup with a thin, invisible layer (Though admittedly, I've found hairspray to do about the same thing as this product does).

  • For some reasons, I really love your voice o_O

And hum your tutorial is pretty good =)

  • <3 ur tattoo!

  • thanks for the tutorial

  • My manager thanks you... lol

And I thank you for getting my manager, AND my tattoo off my back!

  • thanks :)

  • Thanks for this video, I'm an actor with a rather large tattoo on my arm, i keep getting told I'm an idiot for getting one. I kept saying make up can always be used to hide it and this video will help me completely hide it while onstage. I'm planning on getting more and now i have no fear of it hurting my career!

  • Thanks so much for watching! It's always good to know that I can help out....

  • hi, I'm just wondering if camouflage make-up like that could cover up coloured inks as well? and how to make it waterproof? in case you know, please do share. thank you so much! :]

  • Absolutely- in fact, it's much easier to cover up colored inks than it is to cover straight black. Though certain Dermablend formulas are formulated to be waterproof, you can try adding Kryolan Dermacolor Fixing Spray or Benefit's Shelaq (for smaller areas) for extra resistance.

  • how did you make your own concealer? i tried dermalend, but i couldn't find a close match to my skin color. make up forever's full coverage came closer, but it's in liquid form and i can still see some color peeking through. i feel like if it's thicker i can get better coverage.

  • I make my own cosmetics by blending micas and pure pigment powders into a base of my choice (for this formula, I used a wax base to get it very thick). You should try layering the MUF over the Dermablend for a closer color match, or buying one darker shade and blending it with one lighter shade until it's perfect.

  • if i do that and spray with hair spray or setting spray then go swimming or sit in a jacuzzi will the makeup come off? or does it take scrubbing to come off, cuz i don't want my inlaws to see my tattoo..thanks!

  • I do not think the hair spray will hold up under a jacuzzi's heat and chemicals. You should look into setting sprays from professional makeup companies like Kryolan, Ben Nye, and Cinema Secrets instead- they are made to hold up under heavy conditions.

  • wow it looks really good, like theres no tattoo! im getting a tattoo this summer (when i start earning money haha) and my mum always says to me "what about your wedding day? what about when you're wearing a dress?" (im getting a tattoo on the wrist) i guess ill just do this!! i was going to buy makeup to cover scars but this seems much cheaper n easier, thanks xx

  • Thanks for your comment! I'm getting married soon, and I have a tattoo on my wrist as well; it's going to be a rock and roll wedding, so luckily I don't have to use this technique, but it would work great for a special day like that! Also, don't underestimate the power of a nice bracelet...; )

  • There are circumstances where having a tattoo is "innapropriate" I love my tattoos, but want to be a dancer.....(Ballet)......I'm told princesses don't have tattoos lol.

  • Thank you!!! I'm in a pageant in month and a half and I had no idea how I was going to pull it off with my tattoos. I love my tattoos and I AM proud of them, but for some occasions they are not appropriate or beneficial. And for anyone who says, "maybe you shouldn't have gotten a tattoo in the first place!!" : Bite me. I like my breasts too, but in some cases they are better covered. (ie: church, grandma's house, job interviews) Each of us hide certain aspects of ourself when we need to.

  • I agree with you on this 100 percent. I have just recently gotten my frist tattoo and i love it, and am actually going in to get another in a couple of days but i had been wondering how i would cover the second one up if need be.

    Good luck in your pageant!

  • No problem! I've done pageants with my tattoos covered as well, it definitely has an effect on how you're judged! As Uta said above, princesses don't have tattoos. lol. If you need any help, let me know! Be glad to answer any questions

  • haha.. which one of your sisters is holding the camera? Courtney? she usually does what you ask.. haha..

  • Fine tutorial, but one should just NOT get a tattoo instead of hiding it! :P Having a tattoo means that you should be proud of it, and showing it.

Other than that, great job on the vid :)

  • Yeah, but imagine you just got hired for a job working at an office or something? Think of it.

  • In my case; it's a simple choice between having a tattoo or having a job where you can't have one. But I can understand that that isn't the case for all, and that everyone else isn't me (I hope I make sense ^_^ When I wrote that comment, it was just how I feel about tattoos.

  • Oh yes! Definitely makes sense! :)

  • I love it-I show it off constantly, but there are certain situations (particularly in performance art and modeling, as others have pointed out) where it is just not acceptable.

  • My thoughts exactly! I love my tattoos, but I'm an actress, so I can't have them showing onstage.

  • What is the thick concealor you used in the beginning? And was your setting powder Bare Minerals?

  • The powder was Bare Minerals. The high mica content gives a good "skin-like" sheen, instead of dry powdery look. The thick concealer is something I mixed myself as a tattoo cover (since I do this so often) but I would recommend Dermablend or Cinema Secrets to those who are buying!

  • now i know a way to hide my tattoo from

    my parents! :]

    haha. thanks.

  • this should be featured!!!

  • yea.. and this girl is probably the hottest girl you'd see in your life...

  • haha Krissy.. yer silly.. alot of women will be thankful for your advice (hugs)

    Miss you.. Dork...
