an interesting view wildwakachica. I myself was never really into the type of music you prefer. to me a church service should always be somber and very strict in how music is perfomed. that view used to drive my Birth mother nuts!LOL you have given me something new to consider.

Contemporary Christian songs are so vanilla.....Gospel sung in black churches are so much more SOULFUL. This stuff is stiflingly anesthetized....there's hardly Spirit in it. Musically it's Cracker Jack box technicality. I mean...I have to learn this stuff for worship service and it makes me cringe....music made for a bunch of old ladies in church. Give me some gospel. Soulful joyful noise. This is so after school movie vibe. Please...

This was from a Vineyard worship service in London in 1998. A video recording was made of the service but it is apparently unavailable. A brief moment of it is shown in a Time-Life commercial . If ANYONE knows how this can be obtained I would deeply appreciate the information. In 2005 the audio tracks were remastered and re-issued with multi-media add-ons but the added video is apparently in the form of interviews only. The 2005 edtion is now out of print but available from some sources.
