  • I can't imagine firing 30-06 that fast and not falling down. Great job.

  • I wonder how much recoil the extra weight of that rifle absorbs? I used to own an '06. Damn thing kicked like a very pissed off mule.

  • And that's how you kill a Jap

  • Nice gun control right there. 30-06 is a pretty hard kicking caliber .

  • That magazine looks like it's shaking a bit?

  • dude thats only 20 rounds

  • @damionagerman standard mag for a BAR.

  • i got a magizine for a BAR

  • U want one

  • Honest to God, probably the best ancient rifle to "modernize", if my message is clear. My ideas: .308-conversion, synthetic stock, select fire (safe, single, 350rpm, 550rpm), upgraded internals (for reliability), tactical rails, AA12-style recoil system, more flexible sights, and funds to but the beast into standardized production.

  • @ArgonianSouthwest why would you ruin such a fine rifle? if it aint broke dont fix it.

  • @BAGboy0032 I know! It is just fine! My only hope was to bastardize it juuust enough so the military will accept it in service while it still has hotweels.

  • W...O....W....

  • A fully automatic weapon that shoots garand ammo. What could be better?.......Don't answer that.

  • This gun PWNS in CoD 1.1!

  • So a Nazi walks into a BAR

  • my favorite gun ever!

  • Browning was the Man!

    What a bad ass gun

  • So, 3 nazis walk into a BAR...

  • @xSnuffedx AHA !!! and 30 Allies,walk into a STG44

  • nice! really! ty

  • was a Bonnie and Clyde fave

  • That thing makes a wonderful sound.

  • The BAR I shot was at least twenty pounds, is this the same model? Btw I don't mean to get involved, but the comments that are throwing random bullshit at each other for no logical reason should grow up and stop wasting wall space over stupid things that have nothing to do with the main idea of this video.

  • this is MG, not rifle

  • @RobotN001 no it is mmg as in a medium machine gun a machine gun is squad operated the bar was a single man operation but it is to heavy to be considered a lmg

  • @RobotN001 Thats the name, want to go back to 1918 and tell Mr Browning he got it wrong?

  • @RobotN001 Actually I'd say it's more akin to a modern day battle rifle. Albeit one that's fully automatic.

  • How does this compare to a Springfield M21?

  • @SequelFinalNight: The M21 is a precision rifle system, chambered in 7.62x51 NATO. The BAR (Browning Automatic Rifle) is chambered in .30-06. The M21 is a precision rifle; the BAR was meant to be a squad automatic weapon. By the way, that looks like a Colt Monitor (the civilian version of the BAR, which--believe it or not--could at one time be purchased across the counter).

  • BAR Bringin the HATE!!!! :-)

  • Flat out raw power

  • I just had an orgasm when you shot that... I've loved the BAR since the very first Medal of Honor game came out. BTW, I didn't touch myself when it happened. Waking wet dream.....

  • I think Bar stands for Bad Ass Rifle

  • @MrLortab10 I read in a pacific veteran's memoir about enemies being cut in half by this weapon, so yeah, that would be an appropriate name.

  • @MrLortab10 Thats what they called it in the army before, it was like a type of slang to them

  • aaaawwweeee.... wait for it! .... ssssooommmmeee!!!!!

  • prefer the FN FAL or H&K G3, but the g3 is almost a rip off of the FAL so..

  • @dickbuttttx4 They're pretty different- the FAL is a tilt-bolt design, and the G3 uses delayed recoil. Both are 7.62 battle rifles, a few full-auto

  • thats not a BAR

  • @Supertroll696969 Are you blind or something

  • @Atmixx dude i use a BAR in cod all teh time. Your retarded for thinking thats a BAR

  • @Supertroll696969 You said it wasnt a B.A.R that is the reason why i said Are you blind or something

    So owned and fuck it

  • @Supertroll696969 And yes that is a B.A.R

  • @Atmixx no its not. and your last comment didnt make sense. stop fisting yourself :)

  • @Supertroll696969 It is a B.A.R

Just because you fucking play Call of duty does not make you a weapons expert

P.S Yeah, i know that it didnt make sense

  • @Atmixx yeah it does? ik more about guns than you cause I airsoft too. and no its not a BAR. the russians make the BAR and thats clearly not a russian gun

  • @Supertroll696969 obvious troll is...

  • @Supertroll696969 Its a fucking american gun

  • @Atmixx no your totes right i mixd it up. its clearly an AK-47

  • @Supertroll696969 Its that gun an AK47 you think

  • @Atmixx nope thats totally an AK-47

  • @Supertroll696969 You dont know anything about guns

  • @Atmixx No need to waste your time on him, he's an obvious troll....

  • @xCh34pShOtx really? what made u think that? is it the name? jackass..

  • @xCh34pShOtx wow a "useless dog" someones clever. why dont u got repost some more KA-BAR videos rat dicked bitch

  • @Supertroll696969 Man, if you're going to troll, at least be funny. You just sound like a 12 year old that comes up with random curse words. :/ a "rat dicked bitch"....hmm

  • @xCh34pShOtx sure ass hell beats "useless dog" legit gayest fucking insult ive EVER heard

  • @Supertroll696969 I guess your redneck daddy was too busy being drunk to love you as a kid. :/

  • @xCh34pShOtx its ok while my redneck daddy was getting drunk yours was fucking you

  • @xCh34pShOtx HAHAHHAHAHAHAH

    Rule #14

  • @Supertroll696969 I don't care, it's fun making you look dumber. :D You wouldn't classify as a troll anyhow because you sure suck at being one.

  • @Atmixx /watch?v=QH2-TGUlwu4

    THATS a BAR

  • @Supertroll696969 IT IS A B.A.R

  • asdurret9 thanks. I feel stupid for not realizing that. :D

  • My Austrian WW2 Spy weapons are much more powerful and better built than that Beautiful Browning.

  • i have a 308 remington winchester and it is semi automatic it is a mf beast

  • My dad was issued one when he was in the Army Reserves. When they gave it to him he was told, " If we ever go to war, they'll be gunning for you first." BAR, an American classic.

  • A pinky ring?

  • my grandpa used one of these in ww2

  • I thought this gun was called a BAR.

  • @ohherroprease13 BAR is an acronym for Browning Automatic Rifle.

  • @ohherroprease13 It is but the B.A.R is a standing for Browing automatic rifle

  • in the words of peter griffin "why is this not being funded!?"

  • Stick 'em up!

    No! I can't do that--

    (THIS VIDEO HAPPENS!)

  • That thing is a beast.

  • Check out my Channel

  • the only flaw to this weapon is the magazine capacity. they should have put a drum on it. really would have helped our soldier a lot more in WW2.....

  • @free00to00ryhme those mags weigh like 7lbs. loaded. It'd suck to have to hump more than 2 drums.

  • @TOTALAEXE Don't spread your ingorance around on the internet and let people believe you! Those magazines wouldn't way too much more than 5 oz's a piece.

  • @ConstantinEWire The kid was talking about putting a drum mag on a B.A.R. thats at least 100 rounds of .30-06 which would WEIGH way over 5oz. As a matter of fact a full loaded 20 round B.A.R magazine weighs more than 5oz, An 8 round clip for my M1 Garand (also .30-06) is probably more than 5oz. Also, Ignorance would be thinking its actually called Constantine Wire, when in reality it's Concertina Wire. Read a fucking book, Asshat.

  • @free00to00ryhme That'd be heavy as fuck :c

  • Am I seeing things or does the firing speed increase towards the end?

  • Most people do not realize that this weapon was ready for use during WWI but there was worry that the risk of the Germans getting a hold of one was too high so it was never fielded.

  • @1spoon1fork you're 2/3s right. They were around for WW1, and there was fear of the Germans getting them, but they were used.

  • @1spoon1fork they were fielded dipshit.

  • @imaddictedtowow112 dipshit? Really? little boy feels the need to insult people who can't do anything about it? Go play wow you loser.

  • @1spoon1fork aww you mad?

obviiously, I probably no more about guns than your WHOLE FUCKING FAMILY.

  • @imaddictedtowow112 Didn't you here me? I told you to go play WOW. now run along loser.

  • @1spoon1fork I dont play WOW any longer,

    And seriously?

    Lol run along?

How fuckin' old are you? 12?

    Little pussy

  • @imaddictedtowow112 clearly u do play WoW, your an addict. they never stop.

  • @Supertroll696969 QQ more, I dont play wow anymore. Sorry to rain on you're parade.

  • @imaddictedtowow112 your name says otherwise

  • @Supertroll696969 my name is also from 4-5 years ago

  • Take that, Russia.

  • Didn't really serve a purpose well, but it was definitely a well-made, hard-hitting rifle.

  • @MadSpectro7 seriously? it was THE light automatic weapon of the south pacific and European theaters of war for the US when every other "rifle" caliber machine gun required a crew. yes it was heavy but when the bad guys were getting shredded with it they rarely bitched about it.

  • Thank the Lord for John Moses Browning!

  • @hancock63 hail to the early god of guns designers

  • SEX!!!!!

  • that thing needs more bullets O.o

  • U-S-A! U-S-A! U-S-A!

  • at the end the gun speeds up

    why is that?

  • @ravenlover122

The hotter the gun gets, the faster the rounds cook off, the higher the RoF is.

  • @ravenlover122 Much like most all automatic guns, as the gun is being fired on full auto, the barrel gets hot from friction. Because of this, the round gets preheated before it is fired. This in turn allows the ammo to fire off much faster than normal, thus increasing the cycle rate and RPM. Much like the sniper trick of letting your ammo warm up in the sun before firing it, it causes the round to get a little more umph and farther range.

  • @GenMinion tx man

  • @GenMinion wow...really? Never knew that it gives greater range and power...wow, that is really helpful, thanks!

  • The mans gun.

  • If you could put a 50yd drum on that, it would be a beast!

  • nice pinky ring ass hole

  • If the BAR was made so that the muzzle wouldn't climb on full auto; what was the problem with the M-14 that was generally considered a climber on full auto?

    Engineers?

    Gunsmiths?

    Anyone?

  • @Gmissile The bar fired from the open-bolt position, not unlike most pistol caliber sub-machine guns. The m-14 fired from the closed-bolt position. when the trigger was squeezed on the BAR, its heavy bolt had to ride forward before the round was fired. This movement tended to counteract the inertia of recoil, keeping it from climbing. With the bolt always starting from the open position, this helped cool the chamber & lessened the chance for "cooking off" a round of ammunition.

  • @kbaughman100

    Thank you.

It's a good day when I learn something, and the lesson isn't painful.

  • @Gmissile The M14 was good for what it did: provide the rifleman with good firepower and quick reloads in a lightweight portable semi auto package. On full auto, the light weight of the rifle made it hard to control (we used to stand on the dropped sling to hold the muzzle down). The BAR weighed twice as much (absorbs felt recoil) and fired from the open bolt ~ both helped the muzzle stay on target. Couldn't change the barrel on either wpn, incidentally, restricting rate of fire.

  • @FLSHBK1

    Thanks for the reply.

There's something else about the BAR that doesn't get a lot of attention.

It's intended purpose was to provide "Walking Automatic Fire", delivered by only one soldier, in an advancing line of Infantry to counter fixed position enemy automatic fire. The primary shooting posture was also a "low hold", NOT from the shoulder.

Problem being, the weapon only had a short time in service during W W 1 and later tactical use was pretty much as a SAW.

  • @Gmissile Quite right. Browning devised it to be a trench-buster for WWI. As you say, the war ended before the BAR could be used much. But WWII was another story ~ fast moving squad rushes required a base of fire, which the BAR fit perfectly. The USMC modified the BAR several times, reducing the rate of fire to allow a good gunner to fire well aimed individual shots & very short bursts. Firing prone from a shallow trench, a BAR once pulled me FORWARD out of the hole ~ a VERY unusual sensation!

  • I saw a picture of my grandfather in WWII in the pacific, he had a BAR and scratched "Chink Blaster" in the hand grip

  • @dogsaremykids i saw a picture of your grandfather and he had his finger up his but.. did you see that?

  • @87Nbrawl your so funny, did you know that?

  • Imagine 500.000 marines each with a modern BAR. Unstoppable.

  • In slow motion takes me back to Saving Private Ryan.

  • sweet one

  • that is a monster, Bonnie Parker was one badass chick

  • what caliber is the B.A.R? 308 or 30-06?

  • @dasdew2 30.06

  • @BlaineKaiser426 Thanks, that explains why a B.A.R.a4 semi auto version will cost $4000,a semi auto 30-06 rifle with 20 round mags.

nah, my wallet isn't made of gold and full of dimonds so i cant afford the firearm, extra mags, and all the ammo.

Im going to start saving for it though.

  • @dasdew2 .30-06.

  • @dasdew2 it can fire these .30-06 Springfield (7.62x63mm)/.303 British (7.7x56mmR)/7x57mm

  • @AdamLawrence1992 that shoulb be top comment

by the way your inbox will be full of b.s. from random people but its worth it to know most people like what you say.

  • @dasdew2 The BAR is 30-06.

  • B.A.R.

    Browning's Asian Remover

  • gotta love a full auto 30-.06

  • AWESOME!! Bonnie N Clyde had it RIGHT... Truly N-A-S-T-YYYY!!!!

  • Did they ever try using a drum with these? That was probably way too heavy, huh?

  • @superhornet69 Nope, no drum. In fact they never made anything larger than the standard 20 round magazine. Anything bigger would hit the ground when the shooter was prone and compromise cover.

  • .30-06 full auto shoulder fired weapon. FUCKING BEAST.

  • B.A.R.-BAD ASS RIFLE

  • agree lol

  • @ChickenNugget971 But here's the thing: The BAR was a portable machine gun.

  • @ChickenNugget971 Actually, American forces using the rifle in WW2 only lasted about 30 minutes on average.

  • @ChickenNugget971 So, it got a lot of people killed, but on the wrong side.

  • B.A.R.

    Browning's Ass Remover

  • They shot commies with these......thank god for that, now we trade with these commies

  • @billplatinum6 Do you happen to be under the influence of LSD?

  • @billplatinum6 We shot fascists.

  • @jando426 Youre right about that, unfortunatly we killed our fascist brothers & sisters. Was that a mistake but also dont forget the BAR was used in vietnam to kill commies. You better check your facts jando.

  • All hail my favorite rifle!

  • 20 rounds of pure American innovation

  • B.A.R. = Browning's Ass Raper

  • This is a true example of the borderline between and LMG and a rifle.

  • BAR - Bad Aim Rifle :P

  • @Rockefeller864

What are you talking about? Its very controllable

  • my pap carried one of these in korea.... i would not want to be on the recieving end of this beast

  • They shut put Drum mags on ti and a scope

  • one of my dream guns

  • thats a lot of 30 06 for how much they cost now

  • Maybe, the most awesome weapons ever designed by USA...

  • @darthvader22 nah, m1 garand

  • @darthvader22 i would agree with that, although i do love the m60

  • @darthvader22 most awesome - M3 "greasegun". When i saw it first time i thought it shopped.

  • @darthvader22 Hand held weapon, I agree. To me, however, Ma Duce is A No.1!

  • @darthvader22 along with the M16 of course :)

  • @darthvader22 i think the M2 .50 BMG machine gun is slightly more badass, but deff in the top 5

  • Men i put an Aimpoint micro on that shit ill end up famine on Somalia in a blink of an eye! Ill love to see what it can do to a bunch of wild hogs!

  • @xavierid

A full-auto 30-06 rifle used on a wild hog? I know they can be quite resilient but the BAR would totally fuck up the hogs shit.

  • @0neDoomedSpaceMarine Not on one they are in groups! That would be awesome !!

  • B.A.R. browning's ass raper

  • In Gunny's Mail Call B.A.R. Stood for

    Busted Already.

  • Browning Automatic Rifle = BAR

if you ask me its = TAWF = Typical american weapon fever

  • m14 is for sissys, its all about the BAR

  • @Vnix An M14 was a Vietnam era semi-automatic rifle meant for picking off targets, a BAR was a WW2-era fully automatic light machine gun meant for suppression. They bare no resemblance, so why would compare them?

  • @corey1050 i was just kidding around, i remember reading that solders needed special training for the BAR and i reckon you need to a big guy to man a 30-06 automatic.

  • @Vnix Lmao, that's the truth.

  • will some one tell my friend this shoots a 30-06 (7.62x63) NOT a .308 (7.62x51)

  • @codymelton9 Hey, codymelton9's friend, this shoots a 30-06 (7.62x63) NOT a .308 (7.62x51)

  • Wait what? Were using the m16 over this? No wonder were made fun of around the world.

  • @ZombieHunter19 this thing is too heavy really expensive and the rounds are way to big. this isnt really that practical to use a gun from the early 1900s in modern day. this gun is basically old world tech man
