  • If this song was a potato... is would be a fantastic potato

  • Wow this music makes my balls tingle. Its as if Liszt incarnate is holding my nutsack in his palm,

  • from 3:55 onward I'm stunned

  • @mikeborja1 but indeed her makes mistakes. No doubt about that. But im not saying that makes him bad, hes still world class

  • After seeing Lang lang's version I have to come back watch yundi's once again......u r the king no doubt

  • R.I.P - high D sharp

  • die verrückten japanesen.. die könnens einfach..!

  • Valentina Lisitsa's version sounded crisp and perfect, like every note was thought of and accounted for and important to the composition. Yet this one had so much depth, it really pulled me in and I surged along with it.I don't know if you can really compare them, as it's like comparing apples to oranges. I think it just depends on who is more in tune with your soul. And this Yundi Li can play for me any day!

  • MISTAKES MISTAKES MISTAKES

    But an excellent performance regardless.

  • @g00gleh00 yeah we want to see your videos showing what those mistakes are

  • 3732334@ they say that because either asian standards are strictly high OR white peoples standards have declined. While the people you listed are white they are european. Most people who say that are "normal" people. Asians have strict parents mainly because a lot of them immigrant to areas like America or Canada. They have other expectations because they lived such a shitty life in their previous country that they want to spend every last moment as if it was some life or death thing, which is

  • Great playing;great techinque......but.....lousy piano!

  • Beautiful !

  • This is nothnig Compared to Valentina Lisitsa's Performance,

Sorry but i don't feel this!!! this piece must be played fast and smooth!!!!

  • @mohtaa I agree that Valentina Lisitsa plays it generally faster than Yundi Li. But I also think that music is about getting the right speed rather than playing as fast as you can. Actually when you get to certain level, it is not that easy to slow down and put emotion in it, like what Yundi is doing in parts of this piece. When it comes close to the end, where it's supposed to be fast and strong like how Yundi is playing it, I don't hear Valentina doing a good job being fast and smooth.

  • lang lang disliking everyday

  • 288 morons, as of this posting, that know and appreciate nothing about music.

  • **what brought us here.** hmm you can't edit YouTube comments on an iPhone...

  • @3732334 & @fubob11 why don't you both agree to disagree and disagree to agreeing to disagreeing and just realize that in the end, the Arabs will just blow all the sheet music apart. See, now that's not racist because I'm Arab. Albeit, an Iraqi! But then again.... There's always chuck Norris to worry about... Look what I'm trying to say is that we all share a passion. A favourite pastime to some and a getaway from life to others. Classical music. And I'll bet my balls that that's what brought u

  • i was rash to call you a white bigot, however it was you yourself that implied "asian superiority" and brought race into it. you should also understand that saying asian level can be meant as a negative stereotype like as if you wouldn't expect any less, the same goes with stereotypes of mathematic abilities although i don't see ppl such as yourself complaining that the greeks were first.

  • I just Ligasmed all over my Steinway. Not that I have a Steinway.

  • why does everybody says piano level = asian superior? wtf

    beethoven = white

    mozart = white

    lizst = white

    chopin = white

    inventor of piano = white

    yeah right...

  • @3732334 wtf= welcome to finland

  • @3732334 perhaps because the composers/pianists you quote have been dead for well over a hundred years? perhaps only asians and a minority of white ppl now have the concentration and patience to learn the classic arts. everyone else does pop.

biggest bitchers in history = bigoted white

    quit whining bitch

  • @Fubob11 no im just saying i don't like it when people say the highest level of playing piano = asian race. while all they do is play the masterpiece of your so called "composers that have been dead over a hundred years." and ive seen numerous amounts of asians that suck at playing piano. can't just people say "the highest level of playing piano is = the name of the player?" don't get me wrong my mother is asian as well and you sound more like the whiner to me

  • hack

  • sure! its joke people! he is amazing everybody knows!

  • It's a shame he's not any good.

If I had half of that talent i'd feel so proud of myself. hahaha

  • Lang Lang? More like Lame Lame LOL! Jokes, not hating on lang lang in anyway. That thought just randomly came into my mind and I to post it XD

  • "Why should I learn math?" Because fuck you, that's why

  • Yundi should get a VEVO! ^^

  • Dear racists, look at yourself before saying something bad about Asians! :)

  • I met his teacher when I was seven...And I didn't realize I missed a great teacher..

  • Hi daddy.

  • 3:04-3:24 the romantic period at its greatest.

  • lang lang-> show must go one, yundi li-> true piano master

  • lang lang made 286 accounts to dislike this video

  • There is no reason to dislike this, didn't know the classical world had haters too

  • this guy knows how to play piano like it should be done. always been my favorit asian musician

  • ughhh i wish it showed the applause at the end....

perhaps they couldn't because the sound level broke the camera

  • racists are rampant here...racist means a man has a narrow mind ,who's never studied other culture eagerly, and always compares with own culture on a basis of his culture standard. Shit and fuck off chauvinist I hate YOU.

  • これ最高!this rendition is the best ever since I've listened to.

  • when chuck norris eats his vegan pasta, this is the noise his fork makes as it hits the bowl.x

  • @DOSEDcoUK yeah chuck norris jokes were good once. then he took an arrow to the knee.

  • As I believe, that in the era we live even have this kind of feedback as retrograde, nondescript people so ignorant and it would be best to overcome this technique and is under the music ...

  • It doesn't matter what race a person is, in the world of music the only thing that truly matter is skill.

  • 我擦,太强了

  • Beautiful playing. Thank you for posting.

  • There are too many racists on piano music videos. You'd think this would be one of the last things to go. White people will post about how he isn't a true musician and it is too technical and Asians will say he is playing at 'level Asian'. You are all racist but most likely deny it in person.

  • @calitats321 How is saying "level Asian" racist? And how is saying that 'he isn't a musician' racist?

  • @Phibriglex Both put one race superior to others. "level Asian" is self explanatory, and white people think true musicianship can be found only in white people.

  • @calitats321 "White people will post about how he isn't a true musician and it is too technical" what you said was about technicality, not about white people thinking they are superior. And viewing one's own race isn't racism. Viewing one's own race as superior and using that as a reason for discrimination against other races is. In both cases you've mentioned, there is no discrimination against the other races.

  • @Phibriglex You are selecting a definition that fits what you want. According to your definition, racial slurs and 'racist' jokes would not actually be racist but just intolerant, maybe? Then you would say intolerance can't be racist unless another is discriminated against, regardless of how uncomfortable or hurt it makes them feel. To me and to most people who don't live in the 1950s, it is still racist. Some white people downplay Asians true ability, and vice versa, that is racist/intolerant.

  • @calitats321 I am using the definition given by dictionary. The website.

  • @calitats321 quit being a little bitch.

  • @xombiesftw Broseph, please do not say offensive things like this because of my race.

  • @calitats321

Please, could you just stop being a pain in the ass for fives minutes...

  • @Valk72 You got it, booster.

  • @calitats321 Actually, it's racist to say that only white people post certain stuff.... but wait no... never mind... when it's about white people, it's never racist, it has to be the other way around.

  • Much better than Lang Lang.. I should say.. it's more Liszt?

  • 1.Train monkey to play with one finger

    2.Hide monkey with invisibilty cloak

3.Perform like a pro in front of live audience

    PROFIT

  • Asians...

  • I really love this song!

I've been practicing piano since '10, with only a few months worth of lessons because my teacher passed away. Its kinda hard for me to play some classical songs though, because I have really small hands...

Regardless, my goal is to one day play this song flawlessly. :)

  • @blackcuve don't worry we hate your guts too.

    feeling's mutual

  • @blackcuve

And i hate racists like you, so fuck you to put that in your so delicate words asshole!

  • @blackcuve

And why do you hate all Asians? o.O

  • @blackcuve Sigmund Freud says hatred is an ego state that wishes to destroy the source of unhappiness. He also says that early childhood sexual experiences will determine one's adult personality. Possibly a few problems during your Oral and Anal phase of your psychosexual development?

  • @blackcuve For Asia being the continent that literally holds most of the population in the world (emphasis on world), the people you hate can kick your ass billions of times over. If it makes you feel any better, I'm Asian and I hate you too.

  • what the!!! he's too amazing!!!

  • Ah... so beautifull...

  • I feel like there is a bot that goes around to every video and dislikes it, because there's just no way....

  • Contrary to popular belief, the middle passage with all of the trilling is the hard part. ESPECIALLY when you get to the octave trills with your fourth and fifth fingers.

  • waaaaa EPIC :O

  • putz

  • 3:37 is the beginning of the super exciting part.

  • Comment removed

  • I listen to this for a thousand times a day:)

Then i had the heart to break my fingers before knocking the piano down.

  • Awe inspiring!!

  • he looks like l ryuzaki from death note

  • 훌륭한 연주 감사합니다.

  • @jlin121990 네, 정말 멋진 공연입니다!

  • Bitch please, I played this with one hand.

  • @bitemehoonk but then u took an arrow to the knee?

  • @zwangie1 Lol.... you know it....

  • the fingers on his right hand can open pickle jars

  • @jazzyann333 Nobody can open a pickle jar

  • epic ending

  • awesome

  • bravo thumbs up

  • so great I playng piano at 5 years

  • Put classical pianoforte aside for a minute...this fucker stands up to overall superbness beyond it's genre

  • kissin's version is way better imo

  • 2:36 spazz attack?

  • more on staccato. I cant hear the staccato!

  • @violiniztapianizta I actually prefer this non-staccato version. In fact this is my favorite interpretation of this piece.

  • @TheLveava The tittle is La Campanella it means Campana. You can't change the articulation of the composer. It is an etude for hand rotation and also an etude for staccatos.

  • thats ninja!!!

  • Eximia interpretación, sublime pieza ¿que mas puede pedirse?

  • Nice, but not up to virtuoso tempo.

  • @mrbig4050 That's what she said

  • @mrbig4050

Yundi Li is young. I'm convinced he will be considered a virtuoso some day.

  • @Valk72 considered a virtuoso? he's already a virtuoso...

  • @polarvolcano15

Well certain people still think he is not at this level yet... I for one consider him to be a virtuoso

  • Practise doesn't always make perfect.

It sometimes counts on your talent.

  • While Lang Lang displays more showmanship, Yundi Li shows more craftsmanship.

  • @ShanghaiTigerlily Lang Lang exaggerates his so-called,"Showmanship." Or just simply emotion (that's over-exaggerated). Yundi Li shows both. Not to say that his interpretation of La Campanella is far greater than Lang Lang's.

  • @ShanghaiTigerlily Lang Lang should be re-named 'Bang Bang'. He can't wipe Yundi Li's boogers

  • Awesomee!! He plays it sooo beautiful and he is sooo having fun!! (:

  • I like Yundi better than Lang Lang, because this guy looks like he has fun whille playing, where Lang Lang looks like he's showing off. Arrogant PRIIIIIIIIIICK.

  • Like a boss!!

  • Asian.

  • this is a really nice interpretation wow

  • The best one of this piece

  • plays with clarity and so much of that good stuff that will take me 50 years to master whereas it will only take him 1 year

  • The last nineteen seconds is my favorite part of music

  • @flaviodefalcao yesss mine too! it's like, i cant breathe properly listening to that LOL

  • That's my favorite version of this music, nobody can express the feeling like yundi li

  • Anyone fancy Arrau's version. It is less embellished somehow.

  • His version of this piece is by far my favorite...

  • Dawn Asians!!!!

    Make it look easy!!!

  • lang lang doesn't deserve to even wipe sweat off Yundi Li's nutsack.

  • Why do little kids say comments like, "Oh yeah, I'm so Kool, I can play up to :43 and I've only been playing for a year and I'm only 13, everyone ignore the video and pay attention to me!". We don't fucking care about your life loser. So annoying...

  • Comment removed

  • anybody has 10 fingers who can do this, but at least 10 years experience without video games.

  • So much better than other interpretations, including Kissin's (2nd best to me).

  • Only Chinese can play so well....

  • no... that's not possible ! well : fake ??!!

  • Leave it to an asian to do the impossible. Time and time again.

  • @MasterofPuppetz234 it seems racist

  • his version for this piece is just the best

  • 282 people knew the piano that Yundi Li raped.

  • you should see his face lol love this song

  • Sounds like he has 3 fucking hands!

  • Chuck Norris called, he wants his hands back.

  • After about 4:10 I started crying my eyes out

  • this song very very hard to play

  • This is not humanly possible.

  • To mch like a waltz.

  • @arvinkong2003 well, one more fact to prove that asians are not humans

  • You need quite a big hand to play this... 3 months only gotten me to 1:20.

  • only an asian

  • OMG at 2:35

  • The best version of La Campanella ever!

  • just when i thought i had it all done.....

  • Where is the feeling ?

  • @kantwater666

you will feel it if you press the play button

  • He'd be really good at fingering people

  • @speedystef9 Good? If he fingered a girl, she'd die ! xD

  • @speedystef9 Haha, me and my best friend (its a guy.) We have this joke that because he can play piano he'd be great at fingering people.

  • ROBOTIC RIGHT HAND.. IT MUST BE

  • prefect.

  • ok... I'm probably hearing this wrong but... what goes on at @4:14?
