  • My favorite cover next to Leon Russell and the Gap Band.

  • Great cover--backup's faithful to Gaye's original studio rendition

  • pipes paying homage to pipes

man what a knockout cover of a knockout composition

  • I Love the drummer! - don't worry Paul I love U2 M8!

  • Beats what's-his-name from the Dooby Brothers, hands down.

  • I wish the band was The Funk Brothers behind him . That would have been very special and awsome !

  • Wow, very awesome and unexpected. They stayed very true to the groove, and I liked the double piano solo. Liked Carrack since Ace.

  • he did this on letterman with mike and the mechanics and it was just as good maybe better

  • Very Well Said...

  • good job and nice tribute, but I really can't hear anyone but MG singing this song

  • does anyone know if this concert is available on DVD ? ........Shawn

  • When Paul Carrack delivered the vocals for "The Living Years", I knew I had just heard one of the most soulful voices in music. Here he lays it down again! AWESOME!

  • I'm Sure Marvin would've been impressed.

  • Amazing voice.

  • Paul Carrack is an awesome singer !!!

  • I was tempted to search here after listening to a truly amazing Carrack sing Tobbaco Road on The Bill Wyman & RK's release.

This video confirms that good music still exists, albeit allusive or difficult to locate in the media.

    GREAT STUFF

  • It's a shame, singers like this, doesnt get the cred they deserv. Paul Carrack is one of the greatest soul singers of all time.

  • The original by Marvin Gaye is one of my favourite songs of all time and this version did it justice! It sounded fantastic. Thanks for posting.

  • Paul and the whole band are incredibly amazing. One of the most musical vocalists out there. Thank you for posting it!

  • What a thrill to find this. My all-time favorite cover version of my all-time favorite Marvin Gaye song. Does anyone remember seeing Paul sing this on Letterman with Mike and the Mechanics about twenty years back?
