When Paul Carrack delivered the vocals for "The Living Years", I knew I had just heard one of the most soulful voices in music. Here he lays it down again! AWESOME!
What a thrill to find this. My all-time favorite cover version of my all-time favorite Marvin Gaye song. Does anyone remember seeing Paul sing this on Letterman with Mike and the Mechanics about twenty years back?
My favorite cover next to Leon Russell and the Gap Band.

I wish the band was The Funk Brothers behind him . That would have been very special and awsome !

Wow, very awesome and unexpected. They stayed very true to the groove, and I liked the double piano solo. Liked Carrack since Ace.

I was tempted to search here after listening to a truly amazing Carrack sing Tobbaco Road on The Bill Wyman & RK's release.
This video confirms that good music still exists, albeit allusive or difficult to locate in the media.
GREAT STUFF
